Who in the world is this little lady they have as a manager. She has obviously has no customer service skills in how to talk to customers. Maybe your boss should consider sending you to a class on how to run a business and make customers feel welcomed in his business. This lady I believe named “Vicky” HAS NO CLUE!!!! I must say this is also a very dirty place and whatever you do Stay OUT OF THE RESTROOMS. Filthy is the least I can say. I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and we decided to take the team bowling a looked up the closest bowling alley to our hotel. After visiting the Collierville area we were treated very well in the restaurants we visited and local shopping at the area stores at the mall and in the area of Collierville but I have to say this bowling alley was the dirtiest place I have ever seen the restrooms were filthy and the employees when advised of this seemed to have no desire to correct the issue. I hope the persom whom owns this place if he does not live in the area would visit his place to observe his employees “kids” and and see why this bowling alley has such poor customer service and maybe he should lift a finger to clean the areas so customers can at least enjoy a night out. This is our first visit to this place and I can say our last.

The owner of this bowling center (Tommy Hart) has no idea how to treat customers and leagues in his center. I bowled there last year and half a season this year and after our league has been treated this way and prize money missing by you, you will never see myself in this center again. I have heard the same by other members of the league. I am only speaking for myself though but you cannot take prize fund money from leagues and use for your own personel gain and then try to replace it before the season is over. That is stealing from your leagues Tommy Hart and I hope the USBC takes all measures to not allow another sanctioned league to bowl in your center. Please just know I will never have a good comment of this center and refer anyone to bowl there ever. I hope you are proud of your actions and the USBC takes severe actions against you for this.

I have to say for anyone who is a league bowler at Funquest you might want to know you are bowling in a center that the owner Tommy Hart is a crook and cares nothing for his his leagues. He has no problem with stealing league money that does not belong to him to use for his own personal gain. Tommy Hart you are a crook and a thief and this league will see to it that we do not support you in this city in any way and will make every effort to make sure no competitive league bowlers step into your center ever again. You have pissed off the wrong people in this city and all I can say of you bowl in a league there or act as an officer in any league there you might want to remove your prize money from this center and bank somewhere outside of this center. What ever you do DO NOT TRUST Tommy Hart ever! I hope your proud of yourself Tommy Hart and your grandchildren do not learn from your business tactics that you practice.

Reeks of urine! The women’s bathroom is DISGUSTING! Pink rings in the toilet, no paper towels, and smells like urine. Then I walked down the hall past the men’s room, I could smell the urine from the doorway. I asked my husband to go in a check out the men’s room. Same thing, mildew in toilets and urinals and urine on the floor. We were going to eat something from the snack bar, but after seeing that, I questioned what the kitchen must be like. Staff was friendly, young people. I guess management never goes into the bathrooms. YUCK!

and future aduly customers…. It is obvious why your alley has never been apart of the other local alleys in the Memphis area….. May I make a suggestion to you… If you do not plan on building a better business in your bowling alley why don’t you just close the doors…. You must be willing to put money into your business if you plan on succeeding in this business. I was told last week you are own property and rent property out in the Collierville area… Why don’t you just tend to your rental property and leave the bowling business to the better alleys in the Memphis area and ones that support high school bowling… This is very disappointing for this school but you can only blame your bad business on yourself….

Comment Date: 9/1/2011 Name: CHS Supporter
Well the owner of this bowling center managed to do it again. TH claims to be such a community supportive person of Collierville but he does not support high school bowling in his own bowling alley. Mr Hart you need to remember these bowlers in the school program that you run off are your future adult bowlers in your bowling alley and your future adult

To the commnts of the concerned customer, you obviously have no clue about the marketing director or any clue about the business. When she was there, Funquest had more bowlers and groups from churchs, YMCAs, schools, and other type of businesses. Just because you might have a grudge against this certain person, doesn’t mean you know what’s going on. People are free to enjoy their time off and that what’s she did. People that I know and have talked to appreciate the fact that would get out with them and have a good time. So before you start talking bad about certain aspects of this place, atleast know what your talking about!!

The owner or this bowling center has no desire to make this bowling center any better for his customers. Complaints have been sent to him by phone calls and I have even spoke to him regarding issues and after that failed I emailed him and he has yet to even seem concerned about the well being of his business and satisfying his customers.I have to say he did make the best move he has made by dismissing his marketing person due to the fact she was running what to seem to be a club in the bar during the weekend nights instead of focusing on bringing in new leagues and bowlers in which this is the purpose of the bowling center and is what pays the bills to keep the center profitable. This is one sad example of a business and a very poor example of a bowling center in a very wealthy community.

So we went yesterday for a scheduled high school bowling tournament. Eight schools, 12 players per team, parents, sub players; alot of people. Guess what, the new bowling management didn’t remember or honor our scheduled meet. Only the girls got to bowl, they had other people bowling on lanes during our scheduled time. Alot of us drove 45 minutes to be there and took off work. My thanks to Dennis Moody for taking a stand against the management named Tommy Hart. After this, we will not be back for anything.

I went to Funquest with some friends. It was my second time there. The first time was probably 5 or 6 years ago. I remember the first time that the staff went out of their way to help me and my family who were with me have a good time. They announced my birthday on the microphone and even gave me a bowling pin that my family each signed with their birthday wishes.
Maybe I just came back on a bad day, but I was there recently and it just didn’t seem as friendly anymore. The bowling was the same, but the service was not what I remember. I guess it just proves that bowling alleys are made up of the people that work there. I wish the old employees were there again. It would have been more fun I think.

Maybe you people didn’t read what this website is for – CENTER COMMENTS, this is not a chat room. All this drama that is being posted on here makes this bowling alley look stupid. This is a site for Customers to write about their expierences they had. We don’t want to read the back and forth drama and frankly the management should be embarrassed when reading all of this. Whatever the problem is, just let it go already or dish it out somewhere else.

For some, what goes around has already come around and any reputations that might be ruined were done so by people that don’t have anything better to do than bad mouth any and everybody that has anything to do with this bowling center. This is a great bowling center…too bad someone tried so hard to make it something else.

Comment Date: 10/8/2010 Name: Donnie Acklen
To all that are making comments about people and this center: Man-up,quit hiding behind the anonymous curtain, put your name with your comments and most of all make sure your comments are true and not “he say she say” because you can damage reputations unnessararily. Remember, what goes around comes around!

To a former employee: This bowling center gave you a job when you had no career left and when you were at a low point in your life. You have done nothing but run this place in the ground to everyone around you, and quite frankly…it’s getting old. Move on..let it go. All of the BS you are spreading around is exactly that…BS!

To all those who want to do nothing more than hurt this bowling center, you have to much time on your hands. My son and I bowl here for leagues twice a week and practice at least once a week. Funquest is a great place to bowl. The staff is young and willing to please and if you have a problem you handle it like an adult and tell management when it happens. TO the funquest staff – thank you and I appreciate everything you do for us.

This comment is directly being sent to the previous 4 comments. Sasba bowler, I think its funny how you think this is a terrible center when as a team it took a 240 average to make the cut, also there were 3 employees here Sunday morning 3 hours prior to open just to cater to your needs. Another interesting fact is that bowling centers of the yester-years are actually making a come back because alot of people don’t like the new main stream centers that charge $5-6 a game just for LCD screens and flashy lights, which shouldn’t be apart of bowling anyways. If you bowled bad then s*ck it up and grow a pair, not every center is for you but this one is definitely one of the all around best in the area. Birthday party customer, not gonna waste too much time on this one, we average atleast 5-10 parties every Saturday and Sunday so apparently we are doing something right. Husband and Wife League Bowlers, “DA” and the new manager are by far better than our older manager who just recently left, if you are such an avid bowler as you claim then you should know exactly who I’m talking about, in case you don’t we shall call him “MS.” He really did nothing for the company as a whole and once he left he took it upon himself to sabotage the only legacy he had set in place. Plus our bar at night time should be open for employees to enjoy themselves after hours. “DA”s job is marketing so the time you were in here was obviously after her business hours and she is more than welcome to enjoy the bar that she is almost single handily responsible for getting us. If yall have any real problems come directly to management don’t use some online forum to man up to something you can’t do in person yourself. I stand behind every decision FunQuest makes, good or bad, because FunQuest has done more for the community than any other bowling center in the area.

I recently bowled at Funquest for the same tournament that was commented on, and wondered if the commenter actually was at that tournament. From a traveling bowlers perspective Funquest went well beyond in accommodating us. The scores were solid. There were 2 or maybe 3 300 games bowled in the course of play. You can’t do that at a dilapidated P.O.S center.
This forum is not a place for personal grudges or attacks. If you have a chip on your shoulder because you didn’t bowl well, don’t blame the center. Blame yourself. The comments about management and ownership look particularly slanted. Shall I guess former employee looking to besmirch a very nice group of folks?
Funquest was great to be at and I look forward to being there again next year.

I just bowled a tournament at Funquest and I have to say this is bowling center is the worst managed bowling center I have ever been to. We go to bowling centers all over and this one is by far never preoared to host a sucessful tournament. It was hot and dirty on the center and this was the worst ever since I have been attending tournaments there. I have to say I will never attend a tournament at this center again. I can see that the owner/manager really does not care. If an owner cared about his customers he would have put some funds into upgrading this place to try to bring it up close to standards from year to year. This is a sad example of a bowling center in such a wealthy community. All I can say is “Good Luck” Funquest because you cannot succeed going in this direction.

I just recently had a birthday party at Funquest for a family member. It was the worst experience you could ever imagine. When we arrived there it was filthy…there were popcorn boxes and empty pitchers of coke and beer pitchers left on the tables etc… As I looked around it seemed as though there were only kids running this facility…How can a place like this survive? We will never be back. Once is enough!!!

I have to state this opinion about Funquest and our concern about what we have witnessed while there. My wife and I both bowl league there as well as our children. The junior program is the best in the city and our children really enjoy their Saturday morning bowling. My wife and I are concerned about the marketing manager “DA” regarding how much she has been seen drinking while on the job their and becoming quiet “Buzzed” while at work. Our opinion is that a member of managment is always on the clock there and needs to be able to make good judgment in the case if need be. I know with out a shadow of a doubt “DA” when allowing herself to drink as she does could perform up to managment standards. It quiet obvious as to why she was demoted from the general manager position because she has issues with controlling her own actions as to act professionally. This obviously needs to be addressed by the owner if he intends on builing this center into a pleasent place for a family to come for entertainment. I have to say I do appreciate what the new manager “MS” has done there on the leagues behalf and to try to build the center so new bowlers would enjoy coming and bowling. This issue really needs to be addressed by someone that can take control of this matter or we will have to take our business to another bowling center in the Memphis area.

My husband and I have been league bowling at Funquest for about 3 yrs now. We bowl 2 nights a week and our child bowls in the junior program there as well. We have enjoyed bowling there but something has come to our attention that is quiet disturbing. We have witnessed something that is of concern in that a employee and I might say she is of the managment staff and without directly mentioning her name, we have been told she has been at Funquest for many yrs as first a part time employee and now a full time marketing manager. We have witnessed her excessive drinking on many occassions and this is unacceptable. She was even bragging about how and I quote ” How buzzed she could get”. I find this very poor as a part of managment and if she had to make a managment decision she would not be able to make good judgment while on her job by acting this way. I feel the owner who needs to do something about this needs to know this. Plus we have witnessed children under the age of 18 in the bar. Even if the Collierville law allow this, this is not good to have children accessible to being in the bar and around this environment. There are to many possibilities of issues that could happen with children present and I have to remind you, NO other bowling center in the city allows children in their bar under the age of 18. This is something I’m sure that the Collierville Police need to look into. My husband and I are currently looking into driving a little farther if we need to to be in a more stable environment in which a person in managment is not drinking and acting so obnoxious. My husband and I do spend allot of money there but we will for sure drive across town to bowl elsewhere if needed and I do not feel this bowling center can afford to lose customers when they are trying to build the leagues and bring new customers in as well as retain the league bowlers you have. Wake up Funquest!!!!!

I love FunQuest. It is my home away from home. I would reccommend this place to anyone. Thursday night “Get your drink on” is the greatest league for alcoholic bowlers. Everyone is friendly and knows you by name if you go on a regular basis. Darnel the manager is extremely nice (not to mention a looker as well) If you want a great expierence come to FunQuest for good night.

I love this place, especially now that they have renovated the lounge and added bands and karaoke (my favorite part). It is truly all the entertainment you need under 1 roof.

FunQuest is extremely well priced compared to any bowling center in the Memphis area. They just recently bought new shoes for the customers and new lanes to make the experience for their customers even better. There staff is very top notch and extremely friendly. I’ve bowled leagues there in the past and had no problems or very little. Plus they recently got a new Gm who is working to better improve the place. What more could you ask for in a bowling center?

Every time I go to Funquest, I see people who don’t care about their jobs. I see kids at the desk on their computers. I see employees looking annoyed when they have to go down and get a pin or ball out of the gutter. If you don’t want to work there, LEAVE!!! I know it’s a job, and jobs aren’t always fun. But at least smile. At least talk to the customers a little. At least take pride in your work! I also want to know why, when I go to the bar, I have to pay for my drinks while some kid in there (I think his name is Alex) brags that he drinks for free. I thought that was illegal.

I love this center, all the staff knows the regulars by sight and make everybody feel like part of the funquest family. The best league is mine, Get Your Drink On, we bowl and thursday nights, love it! And now they have live music almost every weekend

Brought my family to this center on Wednesday November 12th, was treated rudely and ignored by the staff. Asked to speak to manager and was told he was busy in the office. We will never go back again, and definitely not recommend this place to ANYONE. They seriously need to work on customer service and their attitude. Just thought you should know!!!!

FunQuest is an excellent bowling center. The staff is fun and courteous. Management is obviously working hard to build the business back to a top center for league bowlers. The new lanes they recently installed are incredible. I love taking my family to FunQuest, we all enjoy it there.

Funquest is the worst bowling alley in the Memphis area. Granted they are putting in new lanes (thank goodness), their staff is terrible and the owners don’t have a clue. The general manager is a smart-aleck that never has a serious comment about anything. The facility is extremely dirty and I’ll never bowl there or allow my kids to bowl there again.

i think FunQuest has the greatest lanes and excellent customer service. Especially Dane and Brian.

Comment Date: 2/23/2006 Name: Anonymous
Management seems to be unorganized and unconcerned with customers that have been holding events for years. Do not honor past arrangements or make new arrangements (pricing, requirements) before event and usually disrupts and causes confusion before the event begins. Really needs to work on customer service.
