When are you going to get a sober bartender? Your bartender “Teresa” is too busy providing herself and her friends with drinks and not your repeat customers! Hey …Wake up cause your losing business “Westys!”

Cowboy dude at front desk is a jerk!

It’s good to know that being married to the owner has its perks. You can dictate what music you like not what us as patrons enjoy. Good for you.

think what u want but i got my way and country music is banned at westys for good.go to a country bar or sit in your car if u wnat to listen to some guy crying about losing his wife his dog and his truck

I don’t like the approach and the sponge feel of the lanes, especially at the foul line. I like the facilities and never have any problems with the machines in the back.

I have been bowling at Westys for many years and have never heard anyone complain about the music selection like this anonymous guy. He acts like he is the only one in his target audience. Most of my friends will at least give their names if there is a problem and confront the issue head on and not hide behind a fictious name on the internet. Come to think of it maybe you’re the only one who dislikes country music, I don’t see any other comments backing you up. Have a nice day buckaroo!

Hey anonymous first of all this is not Rich or Jenn. Secondly, why can’t you use your real name? Are you so timid you can’t even use your own name? Not only do you need to get a life you need to be a man, if that’s what you are.

Comment Date: 9/4/2009 Name: Anonymous
taylor swift. more like jenn and rich. you think you guys are so smart. thank goodness the ownership realizes that country music was bringing down the company. glad i work for them and not u

Comment Date: 9/4/2009 Name: Anonymous
i’m sorry if 5 percent of the people who bowl here would like to listen to country music. i have an ideal for u get an i pod and listen to whatever u want. look at our target audience coming through the door. 13 to 28 and they dont want to hear country. think u need a life and maybe some looser pants its obviously clouding your judgement.

Comment Date: 9/1/2009 Name: I can be anonymous too
Hey cry baby anonymous. If you require everyone to listen to your crying about everything you want done your way, you must have very few friends. For the love of God as you so proudly put it, go get yourself an education and learn how to spell and use proper punctuation. On your way to school turn on the country station for a change and listen to the words. You will notice they are “NOT” singing about killing their parents. If you think all they play at Westy’s is country music, then maybe you should get your ears tuned. Boo hoo, they never complied with your request. Like Taylor said….. get a life!

Comment Date: 8/30/2009 Name: Taylor Swift
Hey, anonymous you’re not the only person bowling here. Some of us like country music. Broaden your taste in music don’t be so nartrow minded and arogant. Get a life!

if westys has such an easy lane conditon then why is it the only bowling alley where the PBA (professional bowlers association) stops at in boise. also why does westys have so many pro bowlers that bowl there. jaime flynn scot archibal don robinson larry buffington bill hewlitt just to name a few. great bowlers flock to great lanes

Comment Date: 8/17/2009 Name: Anonymous
if i am going to be paying over three dollars a game and two dollars for shoes then when i go up to the counter and request the radio be changed off country then by god it should be. if i am contributing to your paycheck with my buisness then it should be your job to make the cutomers happy. when we ask to take it off country then for gods sake take it off country dont just be rude and ignore your customers

Comment Date: 8/17/2009 Name: Anonymous
i’m pretty sure that the country bar is across the street not inside westy’s. why cant we listen to normal music when we bowl there

Comment Date: 8/16/2009 Name: Anonymous
bowling alleys should play rock and roll not country. look at your sales when cowboy or cowgirl is working i bet sales are down dramatically. nobody wants to be force fed country music

Comment Date: 8/16/2009 Name: Anonymous
quit playing country none of your paying customers like it

Comment Date: 8/5/2009 Name: Fast65mustang

Iam from SC,How do league dues per week compare to my home state? I pay $14.00 a week, and is there a uniform maximum every state has to adhere to,and is it different for every day ? please reply.thanks.

We are a bowling family! Except for the baby that is and give him another year he’ll be in the game too! We love Westy’s! We’ve been on leagues there for many years, and all I can say is that if you have a ‘bad’ experience there, it’s because you kept your ‘suffering’ silent. If you mention to anyone of the staff there a compliant it’s dealt with immediately! We love them all! See you Friday Julie!!

We love boeling at Westy’s Garden lanes. Great food, excellent lanes, and the people at the front desk are very friendly. Hey Trudy: as for the creepy bald guy……my friends and I love him he’s great. Maybe you should talk to him personally before you rate him. Thanks Westy’s, we love you.

Thank you very much for converting to a non-smoking center as the law states. It is a shame that there is a center in Boise that thinks they are ABOVE the law and still allows smoking in their bar even though there is a LAW that is opposed to it. Thank you for caring MORE about your guests rather than upseting a few league bowlers by having them go outside to have a smoke. Maybe (hopefully) the law will close the center down that still allows the smoking in their bar (down the street from Westy’s). Fingers crossed, because this will only attract more guests into your center.

You know… you go someplace and bowl for $1 a game and you are going to get exactly what you pay for. A dollar a game brings out the bowlers who are there for the fun. It brings the familys who enjoys a bargain. It brings out the teenagers who can suddenly afford to take a date somewhere clean, safe and popular. The only complaint I had about the Monday Madness at Westy’s was the waiting list when everyone else in town decided to have some fun at the same time my friends and I did. We look forward to this annual special on bowling, domestic drafts and great food.
No smoking in this center!!! A true non-smoking center that follows Idaho law. No smoking in their sports bar too! As for the 12.50 beer, try ordering a MICRO BREW PITCHER in other bowling centers (if they have anything besides domestic beer) or in your favorite sports bar. Obviously you and your friends don’t get out much…

A few girlfriends and I go out bowling every week. We decided to try bowling at Westy’s because we heard about the dollar bowling on Monday nights. Well, that’s all well and good (the dollar price special) however to be honest…I wouldn’t pay more than a dollar a game at this facility on any given night. The approaches were sticky..there was no authority figure to govern behavior on the lanes..(unless you count the creepy bald guy who wanders back and forth staring at everyone)..the beer prices were outrageous!! Can you say 12.50 a pitcher? Their rental shoes were tattered, all of the house balls were crap..I guess basicly though you can’t expect a whole lot out of a bowling alley located in the underbelly of Garbage City..

Fun for the family….thank goodness NO MORE SMOKING!!!! I’ll pass on the lung cancer from the rest of those smoking alleys. 🙂

NO SMOKING! Bowling alleys are supposed to be smokey. I need to find a new place to roll.

Comment Date: 6/4/2007 Name: Dan
Great lanes, they have $1 games and shoe rentals on Monday’s and Wednesday’s over the summer.

Starting in July, NO SMOKING! YES! This will be much more fun for me and my friends!!!

This center has by far the best lanes and the greatest food of any in the state.

Lot’s of but to much smoke!

Comment Date: 3/28/2006 Name: Alan
Nice bowling alley. Plenty of lanes. Prices are high in my opinion and they do not have any specials that could compete with other houses in the valley. Wide variety of leagues to choose from and one of the easiest shots around.

Good overall place, but too much smoking there for my family.

Comment Date: 5/16/2005 Name: Larry
The staff is great the lanes are well maintained and everything is clean. The only problem I have is the way the lanes are dressed to inflate the averages of the bowlers.

Westy’s Garden Lanes is a fun place to go bowling. I grew up around There and I loved going there to play games and have fun. The prices on the shoes and the lanes are fair. The prices on food and drink are a little high. This is a great place. On Friday and Saturday they turn up the music and turn down the lights and it is a blast. If you want to have fun, go to Westy’s.
