We spent the day at Coyote Ugly 7/25/09 and was told to try the food next door. The guy at the door was rude to the couple in front of us. We did not see a dress code on the door. He told the man that his shirt was not suitable and he needed to put on a tee shirt before he could enter. We came in and he told my son that he could not wear his denver jersey over his tee shirt and that it was not basketball season so we left.

Where the nuggets hang to the avalanche to greenday to? Corporates to lawyer firms to corporates. Great place to bring a date. State of the art. Girls that work there are unbelievable. It’s like Hooters meets nightclub meets bowling! And they treat everyone with respect. Great atmosphere! And Coyote Ugly is next door! Need to see!

Classic Bowl Comments

At the last minute our family reunion had to be relocated. Went in to Classic Bowl not knowing quite what to expect and we hadnt been there before. We were really treated warmly by all the staff, and considering we had quite a few small kids with us and they made us feel really comfortable. And it made for a really special experience. Theres arcade games and pool tables and skee ball in additon to the bowling. Really had such fun time.

Comment Date: 5/20/2011 Name: jellybean
though they got off to a slow start, classic has really come up. most people don’t know the place started out as crap because of poor management previously. it’s amazing what they have done to the place and it must hsave cost a small fortune to rebuild what was completely torn down. staff is great and that kareoke lady is awesome.
most postings were bad but if you know how it started and see where they are you’d give em two thumbs up!!

Comment Date: 8/27/2010 Name: Rebel
They are making some upgrades. Brunswick A2’s, and more. But they still turn your ball black, and the new manager has a bit of an attitude problem. Seems like he’d be a much better AMF manager as he doesn’t seem to care for the bowlers at all.

Comment Date: 9/19/2009 Name: Danny
I went there one day with my family for my brother could hvae bowled there for pepsi. Well the lanes were horrifing, after every time you bowl a sigle ball you have to clean you ball. I had brad new shoes (Never used) when I went there after the one game the bottem of my shoes were black. I would not recomend this alley.

Comment Date: 3/28/2008 Name: someone
we went yesterday and there were all kinds of old people there we had a large group so there weren’t any lanes open for us i thought that the day was ruined but they gave us free passes for the next time we came!

Comment Date: 10/17/2007 Name: MB
Classic Bowl does not have the best lanes, and yes the pinsetter is older than most of the cars that are painted above the lanes. What it does offer is a cheap place to bowl that is off the beaten path. Prices are $2 a game and $2 for shoe rental, also before 5 pm you can get 3 games for the price of 2. Everyone is very nice and the bartenders know how to pour. If you are looking for some place with smooth, well oiled lanes to practice for the next competition go to the Brunswick down the street.

Comment Date: 6/4/2007 Name: anonymous
i want to know what are the prices for a game and rentals
please can someone list the price and the hours they close and open
thanks

Comment Date: 12/11/2006 Name: McTurtle
The machinery and pin decks are dirty. Your ball gets gunk on it and has to be cleaned every game. They are friendly enough but it chould not be that hard to include cleanness into your customer service.

Comment Date: 2/1/2006 Name: Dez
Classic Bowl has reasonable prices and good food. The staff is friendly which makes up for the sometimes faulty equipment. I have a good time whenever I am there.

Comment Date: 1/21/2006 Name: Cassandra
It is very cheap bowling all the time…but you get what you pay for. I have never been bowling at Classic without having the scoring system or machinery malfunctioning. The lanes are very dry. The pizza is very good though.

Comment Date: 1/8/2006 Name: chloe
This place has average quality machinery, great prices, $2 per person, per game $2 shoe rental and no over the top food prices.

Comment Date: 12/23/2005 Name: carly
Provides a “little kids” lane…which is perfect for 2-5 years old while grumps are on the normal lanes.

Comment Date: 8/27/2005 Name: Dawn
This place is great. If you bowl 2 games you get one free and it’s not too busy, so you can always get a lane.

Comment Date: 8/27/2004 Name: Dan
For those of you who want to know this place is a dump. I bowled there once and my ball got so banged up I had to get it redone. Pinsetters are crap. It doesn’t even know when you get a strike.

Comment Date: 7/29/2004 Name: anonymous
I’ve never been here but I really want to know so those of you who have been need to tell me what it’s like.

10 years ago, at my friends 12th birthday party, my 11 year old friend was roofied at bear creek lanes and almost died!!!!

Comment Date: 4/17/2011 Name: Parent
WORST TIME EVER ! The league people get the run of the place, they are rude and self serving as is the owner and staff. The food is horrible and the shoes are nasty. Don’t even think of trying to have your family there to enjoy any type of celebration because you will end up in the parking lot in hopes of salvaging the event. We got kicked off the lane after 2 turns because league people think they are the only ones that can be there. This is our second bad experience at Bear Creek and we will NEVER return nor will any of my 700 facebook friends.

Comment Date: 1/18/2011 Name: Cary Maultasch
This is all you could want in a family bowling center. I even enjoy the music.
Marvin is an honest pro who is more interested in selling you the right ball while other guys tried to sell me the most expensive ones in stock.
Their “Bowl All you Want” deals are great!

Comment Date: 11/4/2010 Name: Anonymous BC League Bowler
Okay… Here’s the real scoop from a new person to the center, and who bowls on their league. The Center is quaint and nice, but it is also very antiquated looking and small. The folks there are nice from my experience (especially the bartender gal). The other legue folks seem to be very friendly as well. However… the lanes are not so good. The oil pattern is actually tricky, and not a standard house pattern. I bowl much lower here than anywhere else in town, and several others have agreed. The computer systems are okay, but only okay, and not great. The ball returns on a couple of the lanes (16 pound ball) regularly trap my ball and twice have scorched groves into the coverstock (which they repaired for free). Lanes 3 and 4 regulalry shut down during league play and cause huge delays. The hand dryers do not blow air. The arcade (if you are a kid) kinda s*cks. That’s my take on the place. Like it for bowling with friends, but it is antiquated. But… bowl there on a weekend morning and man… you got the place to yourself! 🙂

I love this bowling alley its soo much fun and I love the employees there! Yvonne the snack bar lady is amazingly awnry and we love it! I would reccomend them to anyone!

Hands down my favorite place, i dont remember the names of the guys who work the counter but there awesome. anybody who says its to expensive can shut the hell up, they run specials all the time do you retards even ask when they run them?

Comment Date: 10/19/2009 Name: Ham Bone
It bothered me that someone said this house is easier than others because of the oil pattern, which is only partly true. The reason it seems easier is because they use the same oil pattern all the time, and they oil the lanes every day. The reason other houses are difficult are because they don’t take good care of the lanes or the lanes (left/right) don’t match up well together. Every house is diffirent and you need to learn to bowl in different venues.
But if you would like to learn how to bowl first go to a house that always takes care of it’s lanes and not just a house that puts oil down before the start of league, like most houses.
Then when you want to get really good, visit different houses at different times of day, to get a feel for the change as the oil shifts.

Comment Date: 3/7/2009 Name: Ham Bone
Bear Creek Rocks. Cleanest, 24 lane bowling center, I have ever bowled in. Threw 13 games in 3 hrs and my hands didn’t get dirty handling the balls… and I don’t use a towel.

Comment Date: 11/10/2008 Name: Realistic Bowler
This bowling center is AWESOME! The lane conditions are great, and the equipment doesn’t detroy my bowling balls. Scoring systems are accurate, and the staff is GREAT. Pricing during peak hours is consistent with other centers in town, but the amenities (like food) are much more reasonable. And, really, if you’re too lazy to plan ahead and take advantage of the tons of specials run at Bear Creek, then you can’t complain about pricing.

Comment Date: 7/23/2008 Name: Mom of 4
Well this place is truly a rip off my son wanted to go bowling for his birthday well better take out a loan before you go here $3.75 per person per game HIGHWAY ROBBERY

I’ve been going to Bear Creek since I was a kid. Now I’m 20, and I still love it! They always have tons of specials, and they do a really great job of making sure you are having a good time. I can’t count how many coupons they’ve given us!

I was at the bowling center visiting my family over Labor Day weekend. I was shocked to witness one of their employees getting in an argument with his girlfriend and than get arrested!!! What kind of family environment is this??? I will never return!!!

Comment Date: 9/25/2007 Name: Anonymous
We had the same experience with the counter guy and his girlfriend. If we are talking about the same counter guy, shaved hair/goatee & mustache. If Bear Creek wants to satisfy customers than they need to get rid of the boyfriend/girlfriend employee. This guy should be giving customer service to the customers not his girlfriend!!!

Comment Date: 9/11/2007 Name: Someone Who’ll Never Return
New counter guy has alot to learn from the past guy who ran all the Cosmic nights, he worked hard and nobody cared, customer service doesn’t seem to be important, and you have one guy running the counter who would rather be with his girl friend in the bar instead of having to take care of what is important, by the way that is the customer, oops I forget this is Bear Creek Lanes, its all about the dollar, find some other suckers.

Bear Creek Lanes has a lot to learn about how to treat Joe-Bowler. The owner only seems to be interested in getting the high scores from big-name bowlers so he can get the bowling alley’s name out there more. There have been, on more than one occasion, bowlers kicked out of leagues and the bowling alley because they requested lane conditions that were more like the conditions for leagues where the high scores were occuring. Bear Creek had the city high average in their house last year (240+). Witht he conditions that they put down it shouldn’t be hard to average that high. The same bowlers who average in the high 230’s there will be lucky to average in the 220’s at any other house in the city. The 889 record was great, and the bowler who bowled it is a great guy, but one can’t discount the type of conditions that are put on the lanes there.

Comment Date: 6/16/2007 Name: The Manion Family
Went to my first cosmic bowling experience with my family, and we had the time of our lives, for $8.00 all you can bowl for 3 hours, what a deal, the gentleman on the counter was simply fantastic, I believe his name was Benny, very courteous and friendly, took the time to ensure my family and I had a super time. This is what customer service is all about. Benny went the extra mile. Thanks Bear Creek Lanes…we will return!!!!

Comment Date: 2/6/2007 Name: Kong
The lanes are almost always in great condition, but the games not during the specials are too high. If you dont have coupons or dont go during specials then i wouldnt go at all. Also has the sweetest pinball machine ever!!!

Comment Date: 12/17/2006 Name: jake
too expensive.i felt that the owner did not welcome younger bowlers in the alley. even though i am an experienced and well behaved bowler. lanes were ok but for the price and the discourteous staff i would recomend harmony bowl.

Comment Date: 5/10/2006 Name: Rita
This bowling center is awesome! Owner is very friendly and loves to help people out if they need it. Friendly employees make it even better. The bowling alley is well taken care of and the lanes are great. Come check it out!

These lanes are AWSOME. They hold the state record for a series. 889!!!300,289,300. that was set 2 weeks ago. owner is really friendly and is willing to help out if needed. Sundays they have a $10 all you can bowl from 9:00am to 12:00 really nice lanes. Its a must bowl at lanes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment Date: 4/5/2006 Name: Woodland Park resident
I like the lanes. They have good equipment. The food is fine for a bowling alley. Their price is very very high. I would bowl there more often if the price was right. Tooooo expensive. Had coupons for 4 games and it still cost us over $30.00 just for the games.

Used to be a great place. The lanes are in excellent shape and they just remodelled. I’m not paying $3.75 per game though. Sorry. I’m moving on.

This Center has a lot of management problems that is evident by the turn over rate of it’s key personnel. AMF needs to realize that it’s still a bowling alley and not Disneyland or a strip mall. Lanes are consistently inconsistant and very dirty. I look like I’ve been playing in the dirt after bowling 3 games.

Comment Date: 12/20/2006 Name: JWA
Lanes need repair. Regular lane break downs, as often as a wreck on a snowy day. Food is way overpriced. Service is subpar as a center as a whole. Not a good lanes in my opinion.

This house is in severe need of reconditioning. The lanes have ripples and tracks worn into their surface. The pinsetters are in need of repair.

Who cares about the new center at arapahoe and Parker, way too far away plus dealing with the headaches on arapahoe road, no thanks. Not to mention how expensive the new alley will be. I have always had great service and fun at AMF

When this place will close once the new center opens up at Parker / Arapahoe?

Okay,
a)Don’t be flamer, no one likes it when people are pointlessly negative
b) seriously it’s a bowling alley stop freaking out!

I went bowling today and my whole family had a blast. Who cares if the bowling center has childcare? Its not their responsibility. To all the parents out there who would like to have a wonderful time at a great price, this is the place for you!!!!

NO LONGER OFFERING CHILD CARE FOR BOWLERS!
They are losing more customers every month and I agree they will not last long at this rate.

Some of the least professional bowling lane employees in denver. They have STUPID STUPID policies. We have taken our League business elsewhere. Which is no big deal. Because the only time this place is ever busy is on dollar game dollar beer nights. Pathetic. They will be gone soon.

Chippers has made so many improvements! The staff is much better, the prices are lower, the lanes are well kept and even the menu got bigger. Bowling at the locally owned place is the way to go!

Chippers Lanes out of Fort Collins just bought Broomfield Bowl. I had gone there a couple of times and had the same experience wiih rude people. But I have to say the staff is great now and there prices are cheap. We had a great time and will keep going back. Thanks Chipper

Ok, honestly I love Broomfield Bowl. I went to high school at Broomfield High, and my senior year I took a bowling class, and that’s where we would play. I loved being there so much, that my boyfriend and I joined the bowling team there. We always had a great time there. The employees are always so friendly and enerjetic, it just makes for a great time of bowling.

Let me start by saying I hate this bowling alley, but Kudos to them for protecting their Liquor License. They have the right to refuse service to anyone, and if they feel uncomfortable serving a group because one person appears drunk then more power to them. Get over it!

Age discrimination at Broomfield Bowl. If you spend a day skiing in the sun and forget to wear sunscreen, forget getting a drink here. Or your friends. We showed up, yes we are all of age, for a nice friendly beer and bowl. No beer for you! “You look flush, and you stumbled.” House rule: They don’t serve alcohol to anyone in your group if ONE of you is drunk. (Forget the fact that none of us had anything to drink…) Fatty McFatt for sure.

So we go bowling a lot at broomfield bowl but all the workers there are so rude! we understand that you can’t bring drinks in so we were finishing our jamba juices by the door and fatty mc fat told us that we had to go ALL THE WAY outside. how dumb is that. also did i forget to mention it was -1 degrees outsied. tight old fart. tight.

I recently applied and i didnt qualify because my teeth were straight, i smelled decent. clean shaven. healthy weight. and a nice attitude towards people especially little children.

Comment Date: 2/19/2006 Name: Nick
The husky man in charge is on a power trip and needs to love life a little more…. Bowling is about fun, not country boy rude behaviors…and especially not being rude to the misses….

Comment Date: 1/20/2006 Name: wanted to bowl but didn’t
Went for bumper bowling and the owners were really really really rude about the lanes rentals. Have two children w/age difference and they don’t allow older kids to bowl with bumpers up. Wouldn’t have minded if they were polite. They have no manners and were extremely rude in front of my 4 year old. I will never step foot into that place again.

Comment Date: 12/29/2005 Name: Anonymous
The owners are not friendly at all. I can’t believe this place makes money with the way they treat their customers. At the snack shop there is a sign that says “All Chips and Candy $.75” and at the bottom, very small in parenthesis it says “If you ask, they are a dollar.” Isn’t that price discrimination and therefore illegal? Terribly run place, but it’s pretty cheap.

I really think they messed up your pricing. Everywhere else I have ever been has never charged people by the hour per person. It’s ridiculous that a family of 4 can only play 1 game in an hour and have the nerve to charge them $40. You want to up your rates during peak hours fine and dandy but your telling everyone to say screw bowlers etiquette lets bowl so we can get our hours worth. I’m unimpressed, don’t think any of my family will be back. Their choice of music is to be desired and it’d be nice to be able to hear when you leave and never use the bathrooms here, they are always dirty your lucky if they have soap in the dispensers.

When you renovated the place why didn’t you resurface the lanes. I doubt they would even pass inspections for league play. Its the 21st century, dried up wood lanes are out of date.

AMEN!!!your game rooms in both of your ft. collins locations are bad. I was playing those games when i was in grade school. BAD BAD BAD

Comment Date: 2/4/2011 Name: place is a joke!
your arcade games and game room s*ck at both so called locations

Comment Date: 12/23/2010 Name: I hate monopolies!!!!
The only reason I go to chippers is because it’s the only bowling alleys in town. Every time I bowl there my equipment needs to be resurfaced. Please resurface your lanes.

Comment Date: 1/7/2010 Name: Mare
As a beginner bowler, I’ve enjoyed the dry lanes at Chipppers: more control, I feel better about myself quicker. For experienced bowlers with lots of different bowling balls for different oil and pattern conditions, and complain about the dry conditions, all I can say is, if you’re a good bowler you should be able to bowl anywhere. And if

Comment Date: 4/18/2009 Name: Jman 85
The price is way overpriced and the lanes are worn out I think the are like 100 years old and they need to oil them WAY more!!!

Comment Date: 6/3/2008 Name: Andy Ferguson
Chippers rate AAA+++ for me, nice lights, good prices and food…It’s all there! Thanks!

Chippers lanes is by far the worst bowling alleys ive ever seen. I have bowled all over the state of Colorado, from Denver, Aurora, to Grand Lake. They only have 8 lanes at Grand Lake and i had an amazing time. They even have where you have to score your own your own bowling! Basically, North is the better of the two but cuts off their amazing 9 tap strike moonlight bowling on saturday nights at 1030 for sign up. My roommate tried to pre charge the 80 dollar price over the phone and they wouldnt let him! Crazy! Bad business at the least! South s*cks because you have to pay the juke box money to listen to music, the bar tender is a joke and closed without announcing last call, theres no selection of balls and they closed early on me and my friends one night when we wanted to keep bowling. Bad business again. I hate you Chipper’s! If I didnt live in Fort Collins and love bowling, I would never go to your alleys again! But, I love bowling and have to put up with your nonsense! Take a freekin business course at CSU, or Front Range for that matter, make money, and have satisfied customers! Out…

chippers lanes has the coolest lanes when i play glow ball1

Comment Date: 11/27/2007 Name: Greg(bowler)
i agree with everyone because it is fun to bowl there except you guys really should oil your lanes well then it would kind of be more fun.

Comment Date: 10/27/2007 Name: Used To Bowl There
I used to bowl at Monte Carlo Lanes and Horsetooth lanes. I refuse to bowl there any longer. They are over priced and are very poorly ran. I used to bowl 3-4 nights a week and also bowled tournaments. Never bowl a tournament there if you expect to get paid. Sincerely yours chipper!

your humor is dry, bendejos. i like the lanes. they are very nice. thanks you senor chipper for providing such a great bowling experience for the mexican communidad. your balls are some of the best in town! muchas gracias papi!

Comment Date: 1/19/2007 Name: regular bowler
I do not think it is because the lanes are dry. I think it is because the lanes are built differently than the south side of town. If you are use to bowling on the south side of town you will experience a difference at the north side Chippers Lanes.

As a college student who loves bowling, I’ve just gotta say I save a lot of money by hating how dry the lanes are at Chipper’s. I suppose that’s great for me, but bad for business.

Comment Date: 4/6/2006 Name: Dillon
Your lanes are so dry that I refuse to bowl there.

Comment Date: 2/21/2006 Name: Kitty
Your prizes and everything else is great. But your lanes are really dry, maybe put more oil on them, would make the bowlers a little more happy.

We just wanted to thank Chippers for providing us such great service on 12/22. Our soccer team came for some team “fun”, and the employees were great and we also received such a great group rate! Chippers ROCKS!!! We’ll be back!
