food is excellent which is why you sometimes have to wait 1/2 hr or more to get your food, lanes are inconsistent week to week.wish they would update lanes and grilling area. i think if they did that the service time on food would be quicker and an update on the lanes would probably bring in more bowlers. as far as grouchy servers they would probably be a lot happier if the majority of the patron there would learn how to tip. nobody likes serving alchol to a person all night and then only getting a lousy buck or 2. if you are on of these people and are reading this if you buy a drink leave your change, if you buy a round leave a buck and the change at least. you would be surprised-if you tip well the bartender will remember and usually get you a drink or more on the house

We live close to town & have frequented Waun-a-Bowl since moving here in 1990. However, tonite we decided to pop into town for a quick burger & beer – MISTAKE! We got there about 7:30 and put our order in, and were told it may be 1/2 hour because of backlog. Other tables that came in after us were served before us & it was 9:30 before we got our food. Next time we’ll eat at McDonald’s and have beer at home! Too bad because we did like patronizing a local eatery. Que cera. We are not looking for any inducements to come back. Just thought you’d like to know for staff training & future reference.

Scott Adler is one of the nicest men I’ve ever met. He makes great food at reasonable prices. Its all family and locally owned, and I love going there. Its a great place to go with a family, or just on your own. He remembers who he sees there, and makes sure your food is absolutely satisfactory, and won’t stop until you’re happy. The bowling is awesome. I grew up going to this bowling alley, eating the food. I learned to bowl here, and love the sport. I wholeheartedly recommend this bowling alley. 😀 Awesome job Adlers!!

Scott is a great man and is very good to his workers. Scott also cares about the customers that come in there, the food there is also some of the best in the area. I love to come to the waunabowl and would go back to this establishment many times.

Yea..Scott is only concerned with impressing his kids football buddies and parents. I used to work here, and they treat the employees like crap. I remember back in the day, when you could go here and hang out for hours and not get bothered…but now, unless you are not one of the “chosen few”, you are treated as such. Go here after a high school football game sometime..and dont wear any purple…see how you are treated. I guarantee you wont want to go back. If you want a good burger, go to the Nugget…you’ll be treated much better there!!!

The food is ok, it is the smoke that is unbearable! That in combination with fairly grumpy employees makes this place not a great experience. If you want a burger – head for Main Street in Waunakee.

K…Don’t play the claw machine there cuz it rips you off… the food is good though (china wok across the street is better). The people that run it are just cranky and annoying, but it’s the only damn thing to do in waunakee

I love the Waun-a-Bowl because it is cool. I like to bowl on the lanes during Glow-n-Bowl. The pizza tastes good. It is a good place to gather after football games and eat Kathy’s cookies. I like to eat them. I can’t wait for next football season, sometimes Scott, who is a very nice gentleman, provides gift certificates to local places of instruction. Then the people redeem these gifts for services such as food or bowling. I love the Waun-a-Bowl. Robert is wrong! The workers provide great service to EVERYONE!!!

This center was a lot better years ago when I would visit frequently. Friendliness and customer service seem to have been forgotten… when they used to be the strengths of this center. New owner Scott Adler does not impress me at all, and it certainly not much of a ‘people person’. It’s a shame to see a great center go down hill like this. I won’t be back anytime soon.
