My husband and I brought our kids here on Saturday and had a blast. The prices were reasonable, good food, friendly staff. The place also looks great. It was a nice way to avoid the summer heat and still have a greast time out.

hello everyone,
I was at Broadview lane for the first time on tuesday night,Wow!!! what a change. It is a smoke free center but they also have a place called Duke’s Lounge where they allow smokeing. They also have mixed drinks now.The bartender also told me they do Kareoke on fridays.we bowled a few games and had something to eat.The prices were great and the staff was great.oh yea,you know that little black line at the front of the lane.ok,don’t go past it!!!!!my ass still hurts…ha ha We had a great time and we will be back this weekend for cosmic bowling.well hope to see you all at the lanes.

To the poster on 1/27/2010….quite messing with the wrong people and you won’t have the worry about it. As the poster below pointed out – if you don’t like it, you don’t have to come in. I love BL, they always make me and my family feel welcome. I always have a great time! Keep up the good work and thanks for bringing bowling back to Warrenton.

Posting a remark like the one below shows that its not the staff that needs a little growing up. keep up the good work guys. I will continue to bring my family in each chance i get. The staff is ALWAYS friendly to me and my children and we enjoy each moment spent in the establishment. Im sure other feel as I do, “if you don’t like it, dont come in!” The place will be fine without you. 🙂

Comment Date: 1/27/2010 Name: VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER
I think that Broadview Lanes needs new MANAGEMENT and EMPLOYEES. I think that they have a problem mixing personal problems with business and well that is just BAD BUSINESS. They really, really need to grow up and act ADULTS.

Broadview Lanes is awesome! The service is wonderful and the prices are outstanding!!! I would recommend that everyone go and take a look!!

Comment Date: 3/2/2009 Name: Anonymous
Went to the place over the weekend and had a blast. The light show and music was awesome!!!! I have been cosmic bowling at other centers before and this was the best. Great prices, about a dollar and a half cheaper than most per game. Friendly staff, good fun, cold beer. = good night out.

Comment Date: 2/18/2009 Name: RESPECT THE SITE
How did this become a battle between Broadview and Culpeper???? I wish people would stop trying to compare the two!!! Post how you feel about the centers on thier own pages!!! This site is intended to give first hand reviews about each center individualy, not start a written war between the places. @$%#!!!!!!

I have been to both places and I have to agree with a majoity of the people who posted – Broadview is much better.

Comment Date: 2/14/2009 Name: Jenna
The alley in Culpeper doesn’t have police in there – they did at first, cuz there were people thinking they would use the new place as THEIR hang out and the owners wouldn’t let them. They had the cops there for a few months but not any more. ANYWAYS, the Culpepr alley is great and the NICEST people work there. Try it for yourself.

Comment Date: 2/14/2009 Name: Alisha
I dont know what U all are talking about! Culpeper is AWESOME – great people AND NO SMOKE! Its lanes and everything are WAAAYY better than Broadview. Prices not bad, either – where did U go?

Comment Date: 1/22/2009 Name: April
I live in Culpeper and would much rather drive to Warrenton to bowl with my family. Broadview (Warrenton) Lanes has better pricing and much better service. I have gone to Culpeper one time and was very disappointed with the service. Warrenton has a better facility and nicer employees. Way to go Allen.

Comment Date: 1/21/2009 Name: Pleased in warrenton
yeah…culpeper might be newer but is is not better!!! Any place that has to have a POLICE OFFICER in house on the weekends needs to be avoided. The prices are also way higher. Maybe the reason people are saying that the want the old place back is because they cant pick out their favorite stain in the carpet anymore.
I’ll be back each weekend with my family!

Comment Date: 1/11/2009 Name: william
i am sorry i think the old one was better then the new one …….i cant believe u change it i love that place ….i still do and i do like but i liked the old one better

Comment Date: 1/5/2009 Name: Tim B. and family
Not sure where any of the negative comments are coming from…I for one think the bowling alley is great. The new owners should be commended for bringing this entertainment back to Warrenton. To the previous comment – if you want to drive all the way to Culpeper AND pay more for bowling, you’re definitely welcome to do so. I’ll continue to support local business and have a good time at a reasonable price.

This bowling lane s*cks, it is the worst bowling alley ever. Go to Culpepper it blows it out the water.

Comment Date: 12/6/2008 Name: ChristmasSnow
Wonderful place! Lot’s of fun! The new owners and staff are fantastic! I was there about a month ago for a children’s birthday party and everyone, children and adults had a blast! The staff was professional and very helpful and the atmosphere was 100% improved over my last experience there under the previous ownership. I remember everyone saying the building was beyond repair and should be torn down. I am please to say that this Warrenton Landmark, is back from the brink. So give Broadview Lanes a try. It is a great place to take your family this Winter when Cabin Fever has set in! They have leagues, specials, party packages and Cosmic Bowling on the weekends which includes music by a live DJ! I also understand there is a special New Years Eve Bowl. Oops, I almost forgot to have you check out the snack bar! They have a reasonably priced menu that covers a variety of tastes, so be sure to give them a try!

Wonderful environment for families, couples or just to meet friends for a night out. Great things going on there with much more to come. They will be adding Leagues, party rooms and coming soon Cosmic Bowling. Check out the DJ on Friday and Saturday Nights. Bet you can not stump him for any tune. The owners are great and have their finger on the pulse of what Warrenton / Fauquier residents are looking for in entertainment. Check them out! I promise a great time will be had by all!

My family and I had a great time, it’s nice to have some entertainment back in Warrenton. Much improved from before. The owner and staff are really nice and I wish them the best of luck.

What a drastic change in scenery, and the people running the place are extremely nice. I wish them well.

this place is excellant ever since it reopened as broadview lanes. prices are competetive and food is great.

Comment Date: 6/6/2008 Name: J
as for everyone complaining about smoke, it is a bowling alley, so get over it. i guess the only way to see if it is any good is to check it out. besides, most of the problems warrenton lanes encountered was due to the dumb-a**es working there. hopefully the new owners wont have employees like that now.

Comment Date: 6/3/2008 Name: Lee Blakeman
I’m hearing all this talk about a re-opening. Is this the same house that has three sections to the it’s lanes. It was by far the most bizarre house I have ever bowled in. I’m looking forward to seeing the new changes.

Comment Date: 5/20/2008 Name: Anonymous
Get ready Warrenton! Thanks to new owners, Randy Cole and Alan Jeffries, along with the help of a hard-working crew, the bowling alley will soon be re-opening as BROADVIEW LANES! It will be better than before. Everyone should keep an eye on the paper for details of when to expect the grand re-opening…you won’t be disappointed.

Warrenton Lanes is gone. HELLO BROADVIEW LANES. I know the guys doing the renovation and I have no doubt that they can turn it around. I have already heard that they are installing comercial grade smoke eaters. As far as the ruff necks hanging out side, I can GAURANTEE that that will not be put up with.

Comment Date: 1/28/2008 Name: Anonymous
The Bowling Alley is finally gone. Although there are rumors a new one will take it’s place. Hopefully better than the previous one. I agree it’s smokey. Even though all my friends went there and they’re smokers, I still think the ventilation in that place could have been better. The rates are the best you could probably get anywhere. Not only that but that place was drug dealer central. Standing outside were usually guys and girls in town trying to make some extra cash. Im sure there’s more than the bowling alley to do your business at!!! If they do bring in a new one, hopefully they build a Bowl America instead.

My family really likes to bowl and we like to take advantage of the Monday $1.00 game and shoe rental. But, I do agree with a previous consumer, that it smells really bad because of the smoke. There doesn’t have to be anyone smoking to have it smell like an ashtray. I’ve been in twice but do not know how many more times I will take my family, especially my daughter who has asthma. The whole building needs to be updated and renovated. The airflow or lack of, is non existant. Some of their fans work. They could use an updated system to keep score and new wood for the lanes and updated bumpers. I think the employee in the previous complaint is lazy. He wouldn’t put bumpers in lane 14 for my kids. I later asked the lady and she had two teenagers do it, without a problem. The only problem with the bumpers is that it interrupts other peoples’ games, since you have to walk across two lanes to put the bumpers up/down. Oh, and why don’t they offer free refills on their drinks?

My daughter and I went to the bowling alley on April 1, 2005. The last day of her spring vacation. No one else was in the bowling alley. I asked for 2 lanes because my daughter needs a bumper and I don’t (I have my own ball and if it hits the bumper it scratches it.) The person at the counter would not let us have 2 lanes. He said “come on” I requested 2 lanes for the reason above and he thought I was asking too much. Please keep in mind there was not ONE other person in the alley and I also said if it becomes a problem we would go just one lane. He countinued to say No to my request therefore we left. I was in the bowling alley the previous day and noticed there were a lot of empty lanes. I did not feel this request was out of line and will not be returning. Not only that but it’s not well kept up. Smells a lot like smoke.

We thought it would be fun to take our 6 year old daughter bowling. They were very friendly. But the place is so smoky. We played one game, but the smoke was so bad we left. We were going out to dinner afterwards, but had to come home because we all smelled of cigarette smoke. I think it would be nice if they would not subject nonsmokers to cancer by exposing them to second hand cigarette smoke. My family will never go there again.
