Priced fair compared to Lagoon or other bowling centers? If you think Fat Cats is priced fair you have your head way to far up your $@^!

I read all these reviews and i don’t know what most people are talking about. granted some of them are really old but i’ve been coming to FatCats a very long time and they rock! the place is always clean, prices fair, and staff is wonderful. They are a FAMILY FUN CENTER people and don’t need to cater to leagues. Leaguers should just stick with your dingy bowling alleys since that’s what you like and go complain over there. The people who run the tournaments are your people, not even the staff! The staff will fix any problems but if you don’t like how something is ran, talk to your people! FatCats is priced fair.. your whole family bowled and ate for 50 bucks?! THATS AWESOME!! thats like 10 bucks a person.

I’ve used Fat Cats for my daughter’s birthday party before. On a busy Saturday, the place was clean, staff were friendly, they had our lanes set-up and balloons waiting. The price for the party was right (for a pizza, unlimited soda, 90 minutes of bowling, balloons, and 4 tokens per child, it was $75.00 – that’s a good price compared to some birthday packages), and the kids all had TONS of fun. They loved bowling, then playing arcade games until their parents picked them up. Also, unlike some places, they’ll allow you to bring your own birthday cake/cupcakes, instead of ordering through them.

the place just wants to be a low grade lagoon. they do not have a clue how to run a tour. any association that goes to either sl or odgen must be getting a kick back. if you want to increase participation and stop losing it, use your head and go where the center cares and know what to do!

This place s*cks!!

Dont for get about the tax. Pullmans include tax in the prices.

Comment Date: 10/29/2008 Name: MIKE & TRUDY, AND FAMILY
in response to the mother below or house person, when you compare prices don’t compare apples against oranges! my childern and family bowl at karen pullmans, their prices for “sonic bowling” include free prizes for color pin strikes, and that pullmans has a “great lazer and foggers display ” included with the sonics.
fat cats has alot to offer and is a good recreation center, but please compare properly!

I’ve recently become a regular here at FatCats. And the person that people are complaining about is NOT the manager, but instead a bad employee. I’ve gotten to know the GM and she’s a great gal who I’m sure will take action on this employee. And I notice alot of people complain about the price. I’ve been to alot of places here in the valley, and it’s pretty competitive to the other places around. Especially with how clean it is with a great family friendly environment. I think FatCats is great, and there’s always hot girls that come in 🙂

I looked into the pricing for the local bowling places and I thought people might wan to know the out come:
Bonwood- Fri-Sat 3 games $9.00
All Star- Fri Sat $7.85 for one game and shoes (game 4.60 sh 3.20)
Karen Pullman- Fri-Sat $7.50 (Game 5.00 sh 2.50)
Fat Cats- Before 10pm is $7.48 for game and shoes (game 4.49 and sh 2.99) and then after 10 was 9.50 for 2 hrs of bowling and shoes
So what are all of your people talking about? Fat Cats is not priced out of control. And they have a Family Special that was $49.95 for bowling pizza and shoes this place was so clean and the staff was so nice We loved this place!!!!!!!

I think that Fat Cats staff is great. The Manager Lady that is young with long black hair was so nice to my little girl. She was walking in as we were walking out to our car. My little girl dropped her toy and it broke, she just got in the arcade place. This manager ran in got her a new one and ran it back out before i got to my car. Now that is a staff that cares what a great place i asked her name i think it started with a c but i cant remember it but she was great i will be back!!!!! We love fat cats

I bowl every sat at Fat Cats and I think its so funny that the people who have so much to say dont even know who they are talking about. The lady that is there every sat morning is not the manager at all she is just the instructer. the manager is such a nice person and has helped me everytime i have ever had a problem. If they have a problem they should talk tot he gm she is super nice and nothing like what these grumpy people say. they need to know who they are talking about before they talk.

I love the DJ during the week and the new staff is very friendly and helpful. I go there every week and it seems like they get better every time i go. This seems like a great place for people of all ages.

I just got back from a birthday party at Fat Cats. My kids had the best time. I had forgotten how fun bowling can be. Interesting that there are a few comments on the clenliness of the place because I kept thinking to myself, boy this isn’t like the bowling alley’s I used to get to when I was young. It’s clean, VERY clean and the staff was so good to my kids and me. We will be back. In fact, my wife and I have decided to go bowling on our next date. I give the place a five!

Fats Cats is a terrible place for the tournament to be held in the future. The lanes are in need of repair, food was terrible, sound and lighting not working, restrooms filthy, no one at the front desk had a clue what was going on. The young lady who introduced herself as the Manager did nothing except walk around, clueless. How did she get that job, does she know someone higher up? She lacked the customer service skills and management skills needed to react to all the problems and complaints from parents. Such disrespect for the Junior Tournament Bowlers who take their bowling far more serious than she takes her job hosting such a wonderful program for our youth.

Comment Date: 2/20/2008 Name: JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
I AGREE WITH THIS PARENT AND FEEL THE Same way. Let the Junior Bowlers run the Tournament! I do know the lady incharge, well meaning, but abosolutely NO PEOPLE SKILLS. She is hurting the youth bowler because she will not deligate authority to other adultds or kids and want all the glory and very POWER HUNGRY.

This last weekend was the Salt Lake City Junior Tournament, and was held at Fat Cats. The following thing took place:
1- Music system broke could not play National Anthem.
2- Moved Tournament bowler becuse Fat Cats over booked parties.
3- Seating for spectators terrible.
4- Place looked dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!
5- Metal strip between approches and tile comming up, very big health problem.
6- Lady incharge to tour., don’t know her, was abrupt with parents and bowlers and strutted around like she was queen GOD.
When I was in Juniors the Junior Officers Ran the Tournament not this type of adult. How do you expect to give them experience?
My family and at leat eight others will not bowl ifcenter has problems, and a s long as the Junior Bowlers don;t run it themselves. Remember these Junior officers are up to 21 years of age!

We went on Monday after 10pm, so it should have been a $5 cover charge and everything is then .50 cents–games, drinks, pizza, etc. Tried to order 4 slices of pizza and was told “It’s not Monday, you can’t do the .50cent deal”
It WAS Monday though–then we were told “it’s New Years Eve so you can’t have the special”…Finally they let us since other people started to complain. Staff said it would be 10 mins, it took ONE hour to get a few slices of pizza. Then they brought out a mini pizza instead of regular slices. Everything turned into an annoying mess just trying to order pizza and drinks. Staff acted like they could not care less. Towards the end of the night we wanted a coke and were told they were closed. But they served other people and randomly turned others away. I might go back but will def. go JUST for the bowling.

Way better then fat cats in provo but still expensive.

Comment Date: 9/21/2007 Name: Kristen
i just went to fatcats on monday and my friends and i had a great time. we did their 50 cent night. maybe their daytime pricing is expensive but i would pay it because it’s such a great place, i think its clean and i love the loud music. the staff was great, not a lot of them but it was pretty dead. so if you don’t like crowds come in on monday! overall, i had a great time and will be back soon!!

Comment Date: 9/17/2007 Name: bobby
All of my friends bowl on wed nights… We all get there right when leauges are coming off and get like 4 lanes all together… I dig the dj and the food at the snack shack is so dang good… the staff are all kids in there late 20 so they are cool to you and joke around with you as you pay… i read that people say it to much money but its cheaper than most of the center in slc…you need to call before to see if they have lanes because of leauges…its clean, safe, and the arcade it so nice…my crew are all big fans and love fatcats`

I love this place!!!! You can go in on a monday and get this thing calle the family sepecial i think it was around $53 i bowled for 1 1/2 and feed my family. One big pizza and 6 bread sticks and drinks. that staff was soooooo nice they got us all set up with our names st the desk (i hate entering at my lane) and a kids size 6 ball and a ram and bumper that came up for my little kids. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

We took our kids Saturday night to bowl and get pizza. Staff was very rude and even though advertised in the front $5 off the family night package we thought they would give it to us so we didn’t ask for it. We went back up and asked for the $5 refund that they forgot to take it off and they argued with us saying we didn’t ask for it so we couldnt have it and they couldn’t give it to everyone and since we didn’t ask when we paid we couldn’t have it back. Finally they gave it back but were completely rude about it. Most of the staff that worked there didn’t act like they wanted to be there. Plus it was $50 to bowl for 1.5 hours, a large pizza and breadsticks and soda. That is pricey.

I was am a league bowler here and find this center very dirty, expensive, and cold in general.

Comment Date: 4/24/2007 Name: Angie
Never been, but after reading those comments pretty sure I’ll never go. Too bad.

Comment Date: 3/11/2007 Name: Alicia
It is way fun, no doubt, however, Oh my god, I just want to know how did they come up with the prices?! It is as same as Disneyland, way too expenssive for the Utah standards. I would take my kids there more often if it wasn’t so pricy, its crazy!! You will spend $100 in a second. Not worth it.

Comment Date: 3/2/2007 Name: Tippy
My kids love fatcats but it is very expensive and the workers are rude my daughter lost something and they were to busy talking to each other to help

Comment Date: 1/15/2007 Name: mom of 3
My kids love fat cats! Its a fun family activity that we look forward to. Its pricy..for what it is and who it caters to. It would be nice if the staff were maybe older and less interested in themselves. The bathrooms usually need attention to. Gross.

Comment Date: 12/24/2006 Name: leesielee
sounds like fun but it would be nice if their website listed the pricing of games, shoes and maybe food too.

Comment Date: 5/27/2006 Name: Randy
Pro Shop operator has not got a clue about drilling balls or as he thinks he is an instructor. Wrong. Center demonstrates this same lack of professionalism thru out! A over priced fun center only. Pizza great!

Comment Date: 4/27/2006 Name: jeff
this is an ammusment center, not a bowling center, prices are way way over priced and personel too young and snotty. if i want to go to an ammusement center i will go where the people are professional—-lagoon

The bowling alley is awesome. You can have dinner and a family activity all at one place. The whole atmosphere is a blast.
