We are regulars here, or were, as the head maintenance guy/manager got canned for DOING HIS JOB! Assitant manager is great, as well as the staff. Big manager is BAD! Seems to be in for himself, as we as CUSTOMERS overheard him badmouth his employees. Bowled at DartBowl this past week, better atmosphere, better food and the staff…ALL the staff …were great.

This is a fun and exciting place to go with family and friends! Great music and good food! Thursday and Sunday they have dollar bowling and dollar shoes with five dollar cover charge which is a really good deal! So if you go play four games then you only spend ten dollars for everything!!! Love this place everybody should go!!!

Folks, you really need to check this place out now. All of the other comments on here are OLD and OUTDATED. The place is super fun and a great place for hanging out.

The place has been going through a lot of growing pains and the league bowlers are extremely rude and don’t like open bowlers. We go to have fun and we are told to stop laughing and having fun. The food is a little over priced but the pitchers are still way cheaper than Sherlocks or even downtown bars. The place doesn’t smell like smoke thank God. Overall I’d go back but I would eat somewhere cheaper first.

Apparently, in order to improve customer service, the alley keeps all the balls behind the counter. This causes extremely long waits just to begin bowling. The staff is apathetic, rude, and very undude. I refuse to recognize it as AMF. It will always be Showplace to me. (Expletive Deleted) AMF and the new management.

There’s one lady at Showplace Lanes that is really rude. I called to ask about the pricing and she just kept saying, ” hello?..I can’t hear you…you’re breaking up.” And just hung up when the signal was just FINE!

My husband and I used to bowl there quite often. Just recently however I saw a billboard over a competitor’s business that said “For Better Bowling Keep on Rolling.” Basically saying that the competitors lanes were poor quality. In my opinion this type of advertising is pathetic and rather than helping Showplace it only hurts their reputation. My husband and I now bowl twice a week at the competitor’s and will not be returning to Showplace.

I used to go to AMF all the time back when it was Showplace. It was more of an adult environment back then. Now that they have changed, and I’m 15, I love it. They play music that’s from today and my friends and I hang out there every weekend. It’s definitely not for adults though, it’s more of a teen hang out.

Seems that the lanes are a touch and I mean a pinch EASY!!! Any no talent person that bowls there gets an extremely swelled head! When you can basically wear a blindfold and hit the pocket without a problem! Other then that its ok!

There was a time, quite a few years ago when showplace was a lot of fun, had nice employees and a well run proshop. They now have a rep for high(er) prices, a proshop that can’t drill even 1 in 10 balls without cracking and lanes that are poorly maintained by ppl who quite overtly don’t give a flying f—. I wouldn’t wish that place on my worst enemy… or bowling team. Point made I would think. meh….
Dartbowl (used to be capitol bowl years ago) is great, with new computers great waitstaff and an overall feel that is far warm and fuzzy. Westgate is nice too, but packed to the rafters 24-7 🙁

Been bowling in a league there for several years and the place has really gone downhill. Prices at the snackbar have been increasing and like an earlier reviewer said, the staffing leaves a lot to be desired. It’s almost like they’re trying to run people off. There use to be a league that took up the whole alley, but they left because the equipment kept breaking and Showplace wouldn’t fix anything.

My friends and I have been going to Showplace Lanes for years, however, it seems as soon as its name was changed, so did their quality of service. They now are open till 3am, however, that’s only if they feel like being open that late. Needless to say, one night out bowling at their establishment a rude and idiotic employee came over our center console and said she was canceling our game (halfway through) and to check out. It was 2:15am, we did so and asked why we had to close up early her reply was that they didn’t have enough business to stay open (there were still 10-12 lanes occupied). Then she rudely spoke over the loud speaker that if anyone was still playing to immediately quit their game and if they weren’t playing to not even think about starting another game. We of course complained and nothing was done. I will never step foot in that place again. Their lack of professionalism, work ethic, manners, and the fact that they hire complete idiots with no educational background will eventually drive its business into the ground. Hopefully sooner than later.

This bowling center is over priced, with disgruntled employees, a pro shop that does not understand the meaning of professionalism, and a very dirty overall appearance. Rating is a Zero. I will never step foot in there again. 🙁

They keep raising drink prices to the point where it’s as expensive as downtown. I mean, it’s a nice bar, but cheap beer is one of the staples of bowling. The lanes are probably best quality in town, but the place is absolutely no fun. Also, seating (with drinks at least) is WAY too far from the actual lanes and is really uncomfortable.

Is midnight bowling available?

They used to be open 24 hours we used to hang out there. Now they kick us out at 12:30. I don’t like that, please change it. We have no where to hang out, please.
