Ya’ll know who I am. I won’t and don’t hide behind a nameless cowardly post and bash anyone. Its really kind of funny that now Lexington Bowl is getting so much attention. Good or Bad.
This bowling center has been here for 20+ years.
JC has been a beleiver in keeping the prices down for all of the bowlers in this area. He has managed to keep the doors open. He is also there most everyday and at 76 he bowls competitively 3 days a week. He cares about the center.
Lexington Bowl has now been brought up to par with the other centers in town. For some reason now they dont like the competition. Because now they are scrambling to keep up by dropping their prices and promising to fix or update their centers. Every center has 20+ year old machines and in most of them they run well. The lane conditions in town for the most part are wide open for everyone to score what they want. As long as the lane machine and “laneman” work like they are supposed to. All of the centers damage a bowling ball at one time or another. They all get dirty at one time or another. So for the most part the playing field is level now. I am not saying by any strech of the imagination that we have the perfect center. Not even close.
The bowlers in this ares are going to go where they want and where they feel appreciated.
So if you havent been to Lexington Bowl and bowled in the past 2 months dont knock it. Plus remember if you do have a problem you can talk to the owner face to face almost daily. If you have a problem so do we. Without our customers, we realize we have nothing. Good Luck and Good Bowling!

jc, my family loves your bowling alley.. we have 3 travel baseball teams and we are even doing our christmas parties there for the boys.. we love how you keep the cost down so the modern family can still bowl and have affordable family time.. thanks again….

Hi JC! I really appreciate having a bowling alley within a few miles of my home. I am not an avid bowler but my son and husband love to bowl. No, they’re not in any special league or anything like that, just normal novice bowlers.
We’ve been to your bowling alley probably a hundred times in the last 7 years for everything from birthday parties to night bowling. I’ve never had any problems other than occasional equipment malfunctions and attitude from a few of the employees; not so much attitude towards me but more the appearance of them being miserable at work. I have no idea why, it’s not like they’re working their butts off.
Anyway, the reason for my post is this. I invited friends to come to the alley for their first time and, when we went in, I could see it through their eyes. If you could just do some minimal cosmetic updates, it would be really nice. I know this might increase the prices somewhat but, for me personally, I wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a cleaner and more attractive atmosphere. I know you could say, “if you don’t like it, don’t come here” but I hope you’ll take this as it’s intended; just a little advice from a loyal customer.

Hey Anchor boy….Did you send me YOUR entry for the tournament? Hmmm…. I doubt it.

Comment Date: 9/14/2010 Name: anchor boy
i have never bowled at jcs but i heard all the so called big guns over there are falling flat on their face lmao:) guess thats what happens when they put a lil tough shot out.while all of them are trying to bowl we just keep on rolling.ill be getting my weekly update as usual so far all i can say is its hilarious lmao let me know how it works out for ya

Comment Date: 9/10/2010 Name: 🙁
First off let me begin by saying thank you to jc for keeping the prices down so people can come out and bowl and not break the bank.Second i must say for this to be the only bowling center in the lexington area it needs a major overhaul i mean it really looks like no one cares about this place anymore bad leaks are numerous and the carpet looks like a bunch of animals live there.i really wish someone would take the time to give this place some attention it could be a very nice place if it was updated a lil bit.the apperance of a business and its workers are important the staff here looks like they just rolled out of bed and have a chip on there shoulder if you ask them questions.i really would like to see this center come to life and be a very nice place to bowl and have a great time.

Comment Date: 9/3/2010 Name: Ken Foy
To all the Scratch bowlers out there, on Oct. 2nd the top bowlers in Cola. will be at JC’s for the Association Match Game Tournament. Want to test your skills? Think you have what it takes? Pick up a flier and send in your entry. I hope all the anonymous posters come and bowl.

Gene,I would appreciate you facing me in person and talking about your post. While I appreciate comments on this site, if you are so knowledgeable about what I do or have done, maybe you can give me an education on how to better operate this business, or maybe hire you. Looking forward to meeting you in person,JC

Comment Date: 7/26/2010 Name: gene
the only and major problem with this center is workers.they never seem like they want to be there and they act like you are putting them out of place if you say or ask something and you get an attitude.they are more worried about their outside life than their job HELLO ITS A JOB they must learn to respect the customers but itll never happen jc will not do anything about it never has never will.everyone that works there has a friend that can come up and get things free and doesnt have to pay for this or that and ive seen it first hand.a new staff is needed someone who will honor the customer first and their self second after all the customer is the one putting money in their pockets.

I bowl at Anchor and would be interested in getting in on this. And I only wanna bowl scratch so we can really get the competition in there. All I wanna know is when…

Comment Date: 7/16/2010 Name: Ghost
First of all let me say that this will be my last post on here. Why you ask? Because nothing changes. Points are made, and thats just about it. Now where do I start, ah yes…Ken. I do apologize for not showing to your challenge. To be perfectly honest I have not been on here in quite some time. I figured my opinions were doing more harm than good so I gave it a rest. However, Im about to share my opinions, but since this is my last post I dont really care. This whole little challenge between JC’s and Anchor…has it happend yet? NO. Quit posting on here and make it happen. Lets settle this once and for all on the lanes, and I dont care where it is we will be bowling. Oh and even though I am from JC’s, Gene the bowlers you picked are only your personal favorite, there are other bowlers in that center that are just as good if not better. My alligence still stands with JC’s but more the younger crowd. Sorry, but the younger guys and gals are the ones with the talent…sorta like me! haha just kidding….but seriously…My opinion is we start a weekly little get together and bowl for fun…competively..but fun. We do this one week at JC’s…the next at Anchor. And we alternate between centers. And I think any person from either of the centers should be allowed to bowl…not just the “choosen” ones. Remember what I said…the younger crowd is the ones you need to watch for. 🙂

i love this place great prices and goodtimes.the staff can sometime have a attitude and act like they dont want to be there or do anything but i over look it.the only thing bad is TURN UP THE DANG AC IT FEELS BETTER OUTSIDE THAN INSIDE i was there on thursday night and it felt like a heat wave had come in.i feel bad if you want people to come bowl in the summer they dont want to bowl in the heat.

Comment Date: 5/21/2010 Name: Been Around the Block a time or two.
There is only one difference between the shot at JC’s and most everywhere else. The difference does not make JC a saint to the game of bowling or imply that its the only true measure of someones game. For someone to say that is ridiculous and they really don’t know what they are talking about. The pattern there is still drier on the outside than in the middle which is typical around the world. That typical house pattern manipulates the ball back toward the pocket. The trick is finding the right ball and the repeatable release to score.
The volume of oil used on the lane is the difference. JC’s is still putting out what would of been used in the 80’s. Just like in everything else technology has changed bowling. I’m not saying for better or worse – I’m just saying it has changed. The performance bowling balls being made today require more oil. The cover stocks of today are more aggressive. I guess the only thing he has really done is allowed the bowlers there to use the same equipment they had 20/25 years ago. It requires skills to bowl well no matter what center you are in. If you chose to use a more modern version of equipment there you must alter your game. Speed, angle of attack and release must change. Lane conditions with a little more volume allow you to finesse the ball a little more however you still have to have the right speed, angle and release. If you can really bowl you can eventually find a way to score on any condition.
Handicap is for those that know they can’t compete with the best. If you want to get better, go practice. Practice in more than one center and on different days. You will be amazed how your game will improve. Knowing how to adjust is part of being a bowler. Those who can’t do that, whine about it and blame everything else but themselves.
This is a game that requires time and effort if you care to be any good at it. Go Bowling!

everyone from all centers bowled good it was a good tournament.more people should have bowled but as usual they say i cant bowl there.well they average those 210 and 220s everywhere else on those blocked up shots and jc does not do that he is a fair and straight bowling center what you average here is a true average not a blocked up shot average.i was there at the tournament and alot of people were saying the shot was not fair well you have got to hit your marks and not just drop the ball and expect it to go to the pocket.

Comment Date: 5/6/2010 Name: Anonymous
Its kinda funny that no one has said anything on here about the city tournament results.
So which centers bowlers bowled the best scores?

Comment Date: 4/9/2010 Name: Johnny Paschal
Guys. I have never come on here and dogged out any bowling center. This started by some folks on here talking about how the Anchor Lanes bowlers bowl on an easy shot and can’t bowl. I have been trying for a while to get this challenge together. Everyone knows me well enough to know what I stand for so chill on the character attack. I have defended JC’s Lexington Bowl on here before. I do not attack people and have yet to do so. I think a challenge would be fun. I already proposed a format and have a team ready to go. Say the word and it is a done deal.

Comment Date: 4/8/2010 Name: gene
dear jc please make this house challenge happen.i have bowled at lexington bowl for years and cannot stand anchor and the way they run their mouth about lexington bowl.i know we have some good bowlers there put GLENN ALLEN/FREDDIE STACK/ROBBIE RABON/CHAD MCMURRAY out there and let them show anchor what we are all about.i really hope you can make this happen i would love to come see them bowl against anchor and and once and for all show people we are not a joke.besides that thanks jc for all you have done for the bowlers with keeping the prices down and letting people bring their family and have a good time and not break the bank.bravo JC bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree with the last comment i really wish the pro shop was open like other bowling centers.the man that works in the back runs the pro shop now and its hard to get anything i have been wanting a new ball but dont want to go to another center.

i usually bowl from midngith till 2am well not anymore the two guys working the counter were arguing and cussing at each other and my kids were there this is not the first time this has happend.all i have to say is staff does not work well with each other and thats not good business when you work with the public.

Comment Date: 1/23/2010 Name: Ken Foy
Well, well. As suspected a bunch of no shows. That does not surprise me. As usual, folks let their speed boat mouths overload their row boat butt. As far as I’m concerned all of you have lost your right to complain and/or to post anything else on this site. When giving the opportunity to show what you have you cower away in fear of losing. This should be a wake up call for you as you should come to realize your game is subpar compared to the better bowlers in the area. Take my advise and practice. You will become a better bowler!

Comment Date: 1/19/2010 Name: Ken Foy
1st Ghost I didn’t call you scared to use your real name. I said embarrassed and ashamed and that goes for everyone. This site is for rating bowling centers not personnal attacks from the shadows of the internet on the owners, managers or any bowlers. As for YOUR ability Ghost, Steven, Anthony and Mr.McFreeHook I will be at Anchor Lanes Sat. Jan. 23rd at noon on lanes 19 and 20. Show me how good you are at bowling not typing. I will always put my name on my post and stand behind what I say!!!!

Comment Date: 1/16/2010 Name: steven
all of you are crazy i would never bowl at jcs or anchor.all the idiots at jc think they can bowl LOL what a joke the only thing they can do is beat ya to death with handicap.there is only a few guys there with some talent and if they knew what was good they would get for anchor that place is a joke bad service just like jcs everybody stands around like DUH.and the bowlers well you take them anywhere else and they fold like a cheap accordian.but serious com on neither place is worth 2 cent.

Comment Date: 1/13/2010 Name: Ghost
Ken, im a little of both, but more so “crazy”. And to refer to me as scared, simply because I wont reveal my name…is to speak of everyone who uses “anonymous”. I choose not to reveal who I am because thats my choice. Too much attention otherwise. Ill see you in this little competition, but you wont see me. heh..have a nice day.

Comment Date: 1/13/2010 Name: Anthony Charles
Ken Foy, the only thing worse than your game is your hair cut. Finding 25 bowlers better than you should not be a problem. We have several on the Saturday morning kids league that can handle you. I hope you are ready for what you are about to bring on yourself. Embarassment! I would have thought as President you would know better than to put yourself in this situation. Good Luck with that! By the way don’t worry your pretty little face over it, I’ll be there!

Comment Date: 1/12/2010 Name: Pamela Williamson
I would just like to say that I would like nothing more than to join a little friendly competition. I enjoy pushing myself to new levels it makes me that much better of a bowler. As far as one bowling center being better than another though I have to disagree. A bowling lane is only as good as the bowler throwing the ball down it because the lane isn’t throwing your ball for you. But I digress, like I said I’m up for the challenge as long as I know that it will be the real thing and not someone hiding behind a false persona.

Comment Date: 1/12/2010 Name: lexington bowler
i agree with what ken says lets have a house challenge between anchor and jcs lets see if anyone at jcs will step and get in on the challenge.i can name a few bowlers from jcs that would do it but i dont know about how many.but like i said lets make this happen.i believe it would be a blast

Comment Date: 1/12/2010 Name: Johnny Paschal
Well said, Pamela. I couldn’t agree with you more. I am for the growth of bowling in general but especially in our area. It is nice to see bowlers have pride in their center but the name calling is a little bit childish to me. Each center owner/manager is doing what they feel is right. If you haven’t been in that situation then you cannot possibly understand. As far as a competition between the centers,I will be more than willing to head up this “challenge”. I will take suggestions on a format and a date and time. Feel free to e-mail me your suggestions at

great place to have a birthday party.i had my son one there years ago it was very for the lanes i bowl here on a league and we have been bowling for half a season and the shot has not been the same twice and thats not i said birthday party great fun time with the family fine but the leagues will kill your average and spirit of bowling.i have seen alot of good bowlers in this house with high averages and good bowling ability

Comment Date: 12/2/2009 Name: robert rabon
first off i would like to say jcs is a wonderful place to have fun and have a good time. The prices are low and and very for the last comment by mm whoever you are i would like to issue a challenge to any five bowlers from anywhere.if you think the bowlers at jcs are no good well lets find out.three games at jcs then three games wherever you bowl scratch.all you sp called bowlers talk trash about jcs but you never come out to bowl or compete so how can you complain all the time.i bowl at other houses and can average 210 plus on those pie shot conditions anybody can.

Comment Date: 11/27/2009 Name: Ghost
In response to “MM”. Its almost humorous to believe that you even call yourself a bowler. You dont bowl at JC’s because YOU CANT bowl. A REAL bowler can adjust to any condition. You cant adjust at JC’s because its a challenge. Therefore you cant bowl. Do the math. Sure I bet your just an amazing bowler on all those blocked up conditions. As far as the staff and attitudes, well thats none of my concern, hit the owner up if you got a complaint about that. And like I said before, if you think you got what it takes then you know where to go. Otherwise shut your trap, grab a ball and keep wasting your time on a blocked up shot.
OH…and apparently you dont keep up with the times, there have been several top bowlers to come out of JC’s, and many people from that center HAVE won tournaments.

Comment Date: 11/25/2009 Name: mm
lol come on now lets be honest whoever you are.there are only a bout five true bowlers at jcs and i my self have never been one i bowl at others houses in the area.i have bowled there before it was a joke.bad staff poor attitudes and the lanes well lets not get me started on bowler from that house has ever won a tournament and how many 300 have come out of that house enough said.AND AS FAR AS YOU GO GHOST LOL ANYPLACE ANYTIME NO ONE IN THAT HOUSE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO BEAT THE TOP BOWLERS IN THE AREA NOBODY!!!!!!!

Comment Date: 11/16/2009 Name: anonymous
first off i would like to say that the lane conditions really need to stay consistent. i have bowled there a good many years and i can never predict what i’m going to shoot on every week. never in my life have i ever bowled at a center where i couldn’t average decent on a week to week basis because of the lane conditions. i understand a need for learning to adjust to the lanes but sometimes its nice not to have to work so hard for a 160. other than that i really have no complaints the staff is nice enough (could work on the weekend staff a little) but other than the lane conditions being different from week to week jc’s is a great place to go and it has a wonderful atmosphere.

Comment Date: 11/16/2009 Name: Ghost
You know, I really cant stand all you people who bad mouth this center. You remind me of a bunch of preteen cry babys. boo hoo my ball got damaged! First of all shut up. Second, last time I checked there isnt a sport where your equipment doesnt get damaged. Do you think a baseball player quits using a particular bat just because he got a scratch on it? Oh and for all of you out there who insist on going to other bowling centers and rolling high scores on blocked up conditions, please remember…one, wipe the oil off your ball and the crap off yourself because your full of it. YOUR NOT REAL BOWLERS…you s*ck. When you can come over to JC’s and average 200 then Ill be shocked. JC’s isnt a bad bowling center, your all just bad bowlers. Learn to adjust…or you could just learn to throw a bowling ball. All of you who talk crap about this place and refuse to bowl there, YOUR SCARED. Your cowards…you dont know how to bowl. No tact, no skill. Keep rolling on those easy lanes, and keep lying to yourself because thats all you will ever amount too. Oh and one last thing…if any of you got a problem with what im saying you can challenge me anytime, you know where to find me.

Comment Date: 10/15/2009 Name: cm
i wish the lanes would stay the same they change every week and get worse every time.i have been bowling here for a few years and love the place but their is never a consistent never know what you are gonna be throwing on week to week and that kills your game i know you have to adjust to the lanes sometimes but not every week.please pick a condition and stick with it or your gonna start to lose alot of bowlers.

Comment Date: 10/14/2009 Name: long time customer
first off let me say i love jc and his family very much and have been bowling at his center for years.last night i was bowling on the tuesday night league and for the past few weeks a young man has been going off at the mouth about the lanes and using very bad and nasty children ask me what he is saying and why he does this and it happens every week and some of the other bowlers say this happens alot.i just wish people could keep the bad language and nasty comments to their self.i love bowling here but if it doesnt stop i will find somewhere else to go.

the air conditioners are working is so cold in the bowling center now.thanks jc for solving the is rather comfortable when you bowl, but cold on the concourse.

I have bowled at JC’s for years and have enjoyed it very much. I have bowled in many tournaments in many states and all bowling centers are the same. There are lane problems with EVERY center and even ball damage. The staff here can use some help with people skills but from what I can tell so can alot of place that I go to. Wal Mart for example it is supposed to be a people place and look at some of its staff…. rude and mouthy. It seems that being in the business to please people is not all it is cracked up to be because you can not please everyone. I will still continue to bowl at JC’s because I do love the challenge of the center and can save some money in the meantime. There is one complaint I do have with bowling in the summer, IT IS TOOO HOT in the building. It seems that the air conditions are not working in there ever in the summer. Just to hot to spend to much time in there especially when there are alot of people there, and now that you have to go outside to smoke (which is fine) when the doors get opened on the ends it just brings in all that hot air to the lanes closest to them. It will cost some money but I do think that the ends need the second door to help with some of this also. Keep up the good work JC and I will see you again real soon.

i have bowled at jcs since it opened and bowl 2 mabye 3 times a week for 10 plus years.the lanes are great and the shot is always there but you have to be consistent and pick up spares or your not going to score good and thats been the name of the game for years.i have seen some of the comments on here and it upsets me.jcs is a very friendly and family atmosphere and some people just dont know how to control themselves and its ashame.i have been one of those people and i know how it feels to have a bad attitude.let me assure you jcs is a great place for family and friends so load up the vehicle and come on out and have some fun you wont regret it 🙂

In reference to the two previous statements. I agree that the disturbance was uncalled for and as the owner I truly apologize for their action. This bowling center is the most family oriented in the state and rough necks & trash do not hang out here. Again,I’m sorry for the individuals actions. My employee and I had a long talk about his part in this and he truly expressed being sorry for his action, and he apologized to the other individual and I AM APOLOGIZING to you customers that had to hear such immature carrying on and conduct. AGAIN I’M SORRY. JC

i was there on a monday night it was june 16 me and my family were bowling and all of a sudden i heard two people screaming and cussing at each other it was a league bowler and the man that works there i believe.i cannot believe he was talking to him like that he was a paying customer.and my 2 children had to hear and see all that.sorry but that will be the last time i ever set foot inside that place.and i will spread the word that this is no place for kids just rough necks and trash

Thats right bowl there so you can get you some handicap. The lanes are getting replaced there for a reason. That should help level the playing field in these tournaments now.

Comment Date: 4/26/2009 Name: I could not stop myself!
I think you got it just a little wrong. Bowling there gives you handicap. When is the last time a bowler from there won a scratch event? Grant it there are a few good bowlers there but come on. JC is trying to level the playing field by getting new lanes and such. Sorry I could not keep quiet.

jcs lexington bowl makes winners from junior league all the way to adults just look at the tournaments from city to state and that will tell you.all these othere bowlers that talk bad about jcs are a bunch of sissys that need a lane set up just for the way they shoot.

to anonymous, i was not trying to slam other bowling centers about repairing damaged bowling balls ,i based my statement in dealing with individuals that made statements concerning their ball being damaged at other centers. if the statement i made offended any of the bowling centers, i apologize. thanks for your comment,JC

Comment Date: 1/11/2009 Name: Anonymous
JC you are right, bowling balls get damaged every where. For the record every center in town will fix them too. Nice try.

Comment Date: 12/29/2008 Name: J.C.WILLIAMSON
james, this is in response to your statement about the lanes and damaged balls. i operate this center on the basis of giving the customer as much as i can possibly give them and pay the bills. i do not block the lanes for the so-called better bowlers to shoot high scores unless they have the ability to do so.the lanes are not a challenge for bowlers that understand what it takes to bowl good. i maintain a 200 average and my 22 year old daughter maintains an average above is true that you must make spares in order to bowl good and that is the challenge in this bowling center, not damaged balls as you indicated. all bowling centers have damaged balls, if you dont believe it,ask other bowlers that bowl at these other bowling centers. we do repair balls that are damaged at this bowling center, which other bowling centers do not. i really appreciate your comments and i will work on improving the ball returns but i will not change the lane conditions to satisfy a few so called better bowlers, i will always try to maintain the intergrity of the game, improve your game, MAKE SPARES,ANYONE CAN STRIKE. SPARES SHOW SKILL. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR COMMENTS, JC

The thing I like most about JC’s is the original wooden lanes. Sure, I don’t average as high at JC’s as I can at other centers. But it takes me back to the time in my bowling “career” when the game was truly fun — not just a competitive outlet to score higher and higher.
JC’s offers something that most centers in the metro area can’t — family fun at an affordable price. And if your scores suffer at this location, maybe you should realize that the other centers are making it too easy for you. jb

Great prices, great employees, sub-par lanes. Many people say they are tired of people complaining about the conditions at JC’s. They say “its a challenge”. While that may be true, the real challenge is leaving without damaged bowling balls. Sure the lanes s*ck, but the ball returns are even worse!

There is nothing wrong with the folks that run the center. EVERYONE is nice but, the center is in bad shape. The layout is awesome. Someone needs to spend alot of time on up dates (carpet, paint, snack bar, restrooms)

There is nothing Wrong with this Center.
or its Crew. I Worked there with JC and his Family
many years as did my wife Julie years ago.
As with all things People want perfect scores but cant even come out of there ball clean or roll it clean. There is not two tracks the same in nascar
but there not blaming tracks for not doing will
thats where Skill comes in after all no matter howmuch you spend the ball dose not hunt the pin you have to place it. first diss your own skills befor blaming any center.Much Respect for JC and his family it carried me far in many ways
Peace out ( The one that droped off the earth) Andrew

I have always gone to Royal Z in NE Cola. I live in Cayce, took my 4 yr old to JC’s and felt safe, comfortable and left with $ in my pocket. It is a great family setting (we go in the afternoon) and the staff is always so nice. We like it there so much we made reservations for his birthday party this summer. I read JC’s comment and what he is saying is the truth. In my opinion, the rest of the bowling alleys I feel like everyone is drinking, my packing a gun and cussing is everywhere. Not here. It’s great

We went to a birthday party at JC’s last weekend and I have to say – it was fantastic! The staff are so nice. They were very helpful and attentive. The party moved along at a great pace and everyone had fun – even the adults. We are going back this weekend b/c my son loved it so much! Keep up the good work JC’s

One of the things i dont like is that they dont have real bumpers for the kids. Instead there is some black tubing that the ball will just rest against all the way down the lane and then gutters at the end. Beside that, the staff is really nice, unlike most bowling allies. And their prices are almost half of what the competitor has a couple exits down the road. Also non smoking sunday is great for the kids, but i do wish i could get a beer during that time.

In response to J.C.W.’s comments. The intent of my previous comment was simply to let new bowlers to the area know what to expect before hand, especially to those “so-called higher average bowlers” like you said. It has been more than half year since I started bowling at JCS, and therefore can no longer remember which lanes I experienced pins problem. I was usually assigned somwhere between Lane 16 and 24 if that helps. However, recent expereience shows that the pins problem seems to be have been taken care of. Re-racking is rarely needed now versus 3-5 times per visit previously. I support JCS and will continue to bowl at JCS on a weekly basis.

It is with much pride, I take in to say this. I am one of the best bowlers there. I maintained quite an impressive average…and beat all who stood in my way. I havent forgotten the skill I learned. Ill say this…anyone who has some negative comments about that bowling center has no skill. Otherwise they would have overcome the obsticle of JC’s lexington bowl. Interesting…I got good because of that bowling center…….I became the best… day..ill become what im destined for…and if that road leads me to professional bowling…then ihave JC’s lexington bowl to thank…because im he best.

Owner of JCS Lexington Bowl. This bowling center was built because I love the game of bowling and not necessarily for making me rich. The prices I charge for bowling are designed to where I feel I can pay the bills and meet my obligations. As to the comments concerning the condition of the lanes, it is because they are original wood lanes and are in pretty darn good shape and are well kept, and as far as the wobbly pins, I would like to know what the individual was looking at that said pins wobbled on almost all lanes. It is like I stated in the beginning, this bowling center was built for the love of bowling and I will continue to operate it for that one reason.I will always try to keep the prices low and serve the best possible product. If you come to this bowling center to shoot high scores you better have the skill to make spares because I maintain the intregrity of the game and no blocked up conditions.I maintain a 200 average and I’m above the age of 70 and my daughter maintains a 190+ average and she is 22.We have real scores in this center and as far as I’m concerned it will remain that way because I do not cater to the so-called higher average bowlers. You have skill and you can bowl good here.It is one thing that I would appreciate from individuals that come here and that is to give me feedback as to what you would make you happier visiting us.I appreciate your business and will continue to save you money when you visit us. Thanks for your support!!

Ditto to some of the previous comments, lanes are pretty beatup. But that makes it more interesting to bowl here. Machines are slow and wobbly pins found in almost every lane. But hey the price is low. So its not a bad place to bowl consider what you have to pay. Its supposed to be smokefree during certain time, but I did see people smoke and staffs didn’t seem to care. Also, lots of kids parties Saturday afternoon. Avoid going there during the party hours unless you don’t mind them near you while you bowl.

JC’s is a rare, decent place to take the family. I have enjoyed having a birthday party there for my son. It was a pleasant and inexpensive experience. A major component to that was that the place did not wreak of cigarette smoke. Again, a nice place to take the family for some fun without breaking the bank.

This is the only bowling center in town that i have ever been to that i didn’t have to worry about whether or not the staff was going to be nice to me or not i knew they would. The owner of this establishment has been there many times when i have come in and has been on of the nicest people i have ever met. This is one of the last remaining real bowling centers in the area and personally i would rather go to a bowling center that challenges than to some stupid fake lane bowling center if that what ya’ll call it and have my games practically given to me just because of an easy lane condition. If there’s no challenge then what’s the point in calling it a sport. I would reccommend this place to anyone. They have the best prices in town, the friendlist staff and they will do everything humanly possible to make sure that you have a good time while you are there. Well that’s all i have to say about JC’s.

This Is the best bowling center in the columbia-Lexington area. The lanes are challenging, enough for a professional to get a good practice in. Its also fun and a really good atmosphere for people of all ages. People who feel otherwise have certianly not been to any other bowling centers and sampled the rude and common complex egos these other places have to offer. JC’s Lexington Bowl and the real deal…its down to Earth, NICE PEOPLE, Great prices and just a fun place to be. Anyone else can stay in the gutter!

This is the worst center I have ever been in. It is dirty, and the lanes are in bad condition. Needs some major overhaul from the owner down.
