Does anyone know when the Lang’s family will officially take over? We are all waiting patiently!

@ Good news, I am sure once the Lang Family takes over it will like the good ole days! Ed Lang was a gentleman and a GREAT business man so I am sure his family was taught well!
It will be a welcome change to all the bowlers!

@ All the way, I so agree with you. Hard to believe that EP would hire that guy, really if they did their homework they would know Mr.NO personality is NOT the guy for a business dealing with the public for sure!
People think we are writing because we are jealous, LOL jealous, NOT we have a brain and we the history of this guy! Anyone in the circuit does not like or care for him,it’s a known fact. He knows it himself!
He’s wearing a path from the office to the snack bar back n forth. League officers don’t even know who he is imagine this. Neither did he nor EP ownership announce the change nor introduce him, guess that tells the story!

@ all the way, class? He needs to start at level K for kindergarten. God skipped his crib for many things, starting with personality, the leagues don’t even know who the GM is, they still go see Dave, imagine this? He doesn’t even wear the “white” shirt like the managers are suppose to do,he dresses like he’s in the nursing home, and it’s freezing in EP lanes!
Bringing him in to manage has certainly “upset” EP lanes for sure! He is not liked for sure!

A all the way! LUCKY YOU UNLUCKY US! EP is already failing with the “chooch” for real! UGH
I know of two groups that had funraisers at EP that will NOT return because we have the “chooch”

Glad the state tournanent is here and not EP Lanes. Veltri has been there ,what, 4 months and the place is like an upside down tomato can ,bobbing in the ocean. he really needs to go to some type of class…

Just reminder the State Tournament will be held at Lang’s.
Let’s support this RI.

Hopefully this place becomes great again. with so few good centers (walnut, oml, alley katz being the only ones I can think of) and all the bs drama I’ve seen or heard from doing travel and knowing people in leagues or subbing it’s just all really sad. As it stands now youve got 2 decent choices up north for next year- walnut and Langs and down south oml and maybe alley Katz. These other centers need to listen up and get their shot together

It will be great to have Lang’s Bowlarama BACK as Lang’s! Ed Lang was a real gentleman,he knew the business,he was hands on and ran a great bowling center. He worked everyday and he knew who his customers were!
EP is privastley owned and I have NEVER seen either owner at the center invovled with we the bowlers, they let others run their fscilitys in the lane.
Corporate is usually not good you are correct.

Heard that Bob Toth is looking to buy Lang’s. Perhaps he could get some business back from AMF Cranston. Independent will be much better than corporate.

Way back when I was a Jr.bowler at Lang’s,Mr. Lang was hands on,he ran a tight ship, had good people working for him,WITH him,I am so glad the Lang family is coming back. Mr. Lang aka Ed Lang was indeed a gentleman. I hope his family bring back Lang’s to what it was.
I also hope they are able to get a GREAT PRO SHOP on board! Someone that can drill the equipment for all bowlers!
As far as the manager’s position goes, I hope they employ a person with lots of experience that understands the game 100%. I know AMF ruined this place, however if anyone can bring it back it will the Lang Family! WTG Lang family.
As far as the manager that ruined this center I believe he crossed the bridge on the East Bay! Hope he stays there and sinks that center! He fits right in with the element there.

So glad to hear langs wont be amf anymore come the spring amf ruined all the mom and pop centers across the nation when they became amf and i hope they get rid of dm hes nothing but a jerk and is a coward they dont care about the employees nor the bowlers they only care about NUMBERS

Dont let the door hit u in the rear when u vacate Langs in May. AMF and your no good mgrs. especially the one discharged a few yrs. ago really put a hurtin on the place. Hopefully the Lang family can resuscitate the place…

In my experiences at AMF Lang’s, I have had fair experiences, in leisure and competitive settings (ive bowled there in open play, practice, league, and tournament) Its a standard AMF center: prices are a bit higher then your independent centers, and the lanes are HPL surface (they will hook more than an average lane surface). Ive never honestly had a “bad” experience there and Ive bowled at Lang’s extensively. I think that maybe the staff could use more training as they sometimes do not know how to perform simple tasks (as a former AMF employee, ive told them how but overall, it’s average. I do like the elevated lounge though behind lanes 1-10 (there is often a good game of Pitch going on at any given time). There is often hearsay that AMF is finally giving up the lease, so if it is true, I am curious to know who is in line to assume operations. It is a decent market and someone with the right concepts could do great things with the facility.

Do not ever join a league ran by Marty Jones he promises money at the end of the league but you get nothing

Don’t go to EP the former manager from Lang’s is now there, LOL EP will tank for sure. The owners have NO clue what this guy is capable of doing, tanking bowling centers. I am heading to Walnut Hill 2012

I bowl here and my ball hooked too much. But what do you expect. Bowling away from your normal house, lane conditions are diffrent. I really enjoyed Langs Lanes, great food, good employees, and after a few games I adjusted, I bowled very well. Langs is a very good house. Going there today on oiled lanes. It will be fun.

Used to bowl here, ever week, 3 games. That was until I was treated like {deleted} when I went there. The lanes were breaking down on me and the lanes are poorly maintained. I either could not hook the ball or it hooked too much. However there were two employees there that I particularly liked. I tried taking my Brunswick Danger Zone there, and the bowlers there were giving me this MASSIVE look. At first I did not know what their problem was, and then I looked at the B on my ball. I was so pissed I got my money back and left. Really? I can’t use a Brunswick bowling ball there, and the staff s*cks. Not to mention their prices. $4.00 a game and $5 for shoe rental? Nah, I’ll head to Walnut Hill Bowl where the shoe rental isn’t more than the actual bowling. Oh well Langs. You have lost my business. I now bowl at Walnut Hill Bowl and LOVE ITT 🙂

THIS PLACE S*CKS.The lanes don’t even stop you when you bowl all you have paid for and then they make you pay if you go over. Then there was another time when there was a drunk creep at my lane that wouldn’t leave me them {deleted} alone… and all the people there were really {deleted} loud. They were a**h*l*s to my mother and me when she took me, and shoe rental is OUTRAGEOUS!!! $4.55 TO RENT SHOES?!!? I DON’T THINK SO.

There is no drunk roaming that ally so those are lies. Nice clean place. Lanes are awsome. Food is excellent. Great weight selection for bowlers of all ages.

I have been bowling here for many years thru the jr program and now adult leagues, they finally got the synthetic lanes back in September, this is finally a high scoring house with improving personnell. Which I have known for many years, I don’t know what these other guys are talking about. There is no drunkenness there whatsoever and the place is clean and it’s decent to take a date for a nite of bowling.

It’s just a nasty place. With nasty customers (that grab little 13 yr old girls’ butts) & a manager that approves of the behavior. The place is a dump & very frustrating bowling when the machine break down every 10 minutes.

I think this is the most nasty bowling alley I’ve ever been to I have three younger chidren and I do not think they should have to witness drunk females acting out sexually

I love the new food and the employees are so kind.
