No, Columbia is not the old Royal Z in Hamilton, that place is now a open-play and birthday party bowling house only called new linden lanes. They do an amazing business with just groups and casual bowlers with the new company that owns it. We were just there for their opening weekend for this season a cpl weeks ago.

To anonymous, what makes you such an expert on their financial situation. The place is looking terrific and they are trying to make it a place of pride for Hamilton families to enjoy.

How are the lanes going to open with no leagues. They have all going some where else.
You can inprove the building but if you don’t have the leagues it is not going to work. You are just wasting your money.

They should give up they lost all of their leagues. And they can not even pay the taxes on the property.

The lanes have been purchased and will be open by the end of August 2010. They are in the process now of completely gutting the “front” (Bar area, bathrooms, etc) of the lanes and cleaning / replacing / repairing the area. I have worked with the new owners because of our affiliation with them and feel confident this group does want to turn this house back into what it once was. They have a lot of Hamilton pride and a lot of new ideas as well as the financial backing to achieve them.
Here’s to hoping this house gets revived into a place we all can once again enjoy.

You need to find a good general manager that can come in and run the place, find Tab that used to run Northwest or Nick Glomb from Fairfield so you can actually take care of your bowlers

Try cleaning the place up and making it look more appealing to the human eye. I have been bowling there for many years and have seen its steady fall from the mountain of bowling glory. I know you make money there so why not invest some into the cosmetic and mechanical portion of the business to keep the bowlers you have and maybe get some new bowlers. You have lost numerous leagues due to this problem so please take the time to look at what you want for the future and hopefully makes the proper decisions.
