this bowling alley has had dirty bathrooms since 1994. I generally don’t bowl in the bathrooms, so don’t mind if they aren’t sterile.

Really the place has gone DOWN HILL for the past several years. I bowl on a league there and the cleanliness is pathetic. The restrooms are truly terrible. Just the overall cleanliness is so very poor no way I would take my family there.I have NEVER seen the manager there, see he comments here a lot but who he is,??? You dont need new carpet or other things just someone willing to do some CLEANING. This is why bowling is failing. It is not the lanes or the equipment it is the sad state of simple cleaning.

Yes, Why?

Is this the same Brett Locher from Lorain, OH that is the manager here?

Mr.Locher, i don’t know how these people have this many problems with charger lanes.Just went there and loved it. My only problem was to much oil on the lanes and i couldnt put any spin on my ball.Still didnt ruin my night. Great job!

We are new residents to Norton. I would just like to say, this bowling alley is awesome! The people were very courteous and my family thought it was a beautiful place. Thank you for providing a place that offers good family and friend entertainment. I wish your business well and plan to come back often.

I do not believe that your assement of our center is fair, we have generated some very consistant lane conditions and scores to match, and our machines do run well. The owner of Charger Lanes (Frank Miroballi) has installed new lanes, new automatic scoring and added parking lot lighting, a new water filtration system and resurfaced the parking lot! I believe that he has shown that he is here to stay and we have legions of people who truly enjoy this center and all of the improvements done here! If you would like to speak to Frank directly, please feel free to call the center and i would be happy to provide you his number. Thank you!

I took you up on your offer and came in for some open play to see how it was. Aside from the appearance which was marginally ok (I give it an 8/10), I was disappointed. All of the talk about lane conditions and being a better house was disheartening. To think I spent 2 bucks per game and couldn’t get the ball nowhere near the pocket. At the conclusion of my Monday bowling adventure, I asked when the last time the lanes were oiled and was told, Saturday. Not a good value for my dollar and took my overall evaluation of the house down to an unimpressive 6/10.

Bob I look forward to your coming back, please ask for me when you visit, would love to sit down and talk about the good old days here. As for a hard business to be in, it is , but we are trying to improve the overall quality of the entire center as many have been implemented already with more to come!

Thanks Brett, I dont have a problem with it just s*cks cause I remember when Brunswick owned it back in the early to mid 90’s it was a high tech nice place to bowl, I understand works in progress and I just couldnt believe either on Sunday night the place was dead as hell, no leagues no open bowling no nothing. Its a hard business espically right now, good luck to you and we will be back. Great Oaks in Wadsworth is a stones throw from our place but its horrible

Bob i am very sorry to hear that you think of our little center as dumpy, it is truly a work in progress and more changes to come over the next few years, as for the carpet that will be replaced in due time and our bathrooms are usually very clean, i hope you will gives us another try soon with an open mind. Thank you.

I went in last Sunday night and I will admit the new lanes and masking units look nice, but still kinda dumpy elsewhere, man those bathrooms are still nasty as hell and that carpet, seriously needs to go!

Greg, we offer $1.50 per game on Wed. noon -5pm, on Fri. noon -6pm and Sun. 5pm-10pm, our league bowlers also pay $2.00 per game for open play, the only time it is $3.75 is on Fri after 6pm and Sat after 6pm. Hope this helps and you may call after 12 noon everyday to ask for open play specials. Thank you.

Any bowling specials Brett when it’s not 4 bucks a game?

On behalf of Frank Miroballi (owner), Brett Locher (mgr.) and the entire staff here at Charger Lanes, we’d like to congratulate Hulon LeGrair on his record tying (for summit county), and new house record, 878 series, 300-278-300, bowled on Tuesday March 23rd, 2010 in the TNBA Senate league. Once again congratulations Hulon and great bowling.

I have been manager here at Charger for 2 plus years now and we have taken care of all the problems from all of the older posts, so if you haven’t been here lately come on in see how we have changed( for the better!).

Comment Date: 1/25/2010 Name: Mike Vimont
My wife and I paid a visit after having bowled at this center six years ago in league competition. The changes that have taken place are fantastic! Lanes are in great shape. Never had a problem with lanes breaking down, and staff (there were only two at the time we were there) were very friendly and helpful.
I don’t know if things have changed regarding hours, but in the past the time of operation had been very inconsistent.

Comment Date: 8/17/2009 Name: Brett Locher
I would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone who has not been to our center in the last couple of years to come and check out all the improvements made to Charger Lanes and please give me (Brett Locher) your honest evaluation of our center, good or bad , so we may continue to improve and provide a great scoring condition and a clean, family fun center for everyone.

This is to annoymous. Been gone awhile have you? Becky and Pauletta haven’t worked at Charger Lanes for over 4 years. As far as the place being crap, well, there again, you haven’t been there in over 4 years. You obviously didn’t give the place or the employees a chance. It is really a nice place to go. The new lanes are great. There are a lot of leagues bowling there, and cosmic is still going strong, and for someone that hasn’t (as I said before!!) been there in over 4 years, that was just an unkind thing to say. If you wish to see the old help, try the other Barberton bowling alley. They work there.

what happened? i went there over spring break and it was horrible what happened to that really nice bartender names pauletta and the counter person becky. withiut them this place is crap. i think for sure it will most likely run out of business in awhile.

Just got back from open bowling at Charger lanes
and what a difference a year makes, the place looked great and the lanes were gorgeous. Keep up the good work and we will be back often.

I wanted to say what a great family place Charger lanes turned out to be. I recently took my family bowling here(Charger), as I had not been at this facility since before they installed new lanes, and what a pleasant surprise for me and my family, it was very clean and the shot was extremely playable. I just want to say we will be back often and soon.
thanks to the staff for making our visit very enjoyable and for making us feel special!

I am the manager here at Charger Lanes and have been for the last 15 months and am very pleased with the progress we have made here at Charger.
The owner has recently had Brunswick Pro-Anvil lanes installed(July 2008)and Vector Plus scoring(sept 2005),so please stop in and check out our improvments and let us know how we are doing. We look forward to meeting and exceeding your expectations. Thank you.

I have had a great experiance here. I had once participated in one of their summer leagues with a few friends and it was great, along with getting a brand new bowling ball. I plan on doing it again this year. The staff are very friendly, especially once they get to know you. I would definatly come down for the summer leagues, for they are fun, and everyone enjoys the time.

i have a question about cosmic bowling (if you have it) how much is it? and when is it?

what is up with charger. turnovers in employess gettin rid of good ones bringin bad ones. the bartender doesnt seem to know what she is doin an doesnt care to take the time to help out she leans against the counter more than she does waitin on people . i was in bar for more than an hour an watched her she didnt card opne person in that hour when at least over twenty people came in for drinks . she was to busy flirtin with the guy atseemed to be not drinkin at all but was takin up her time. i got so discusted i decided to go bowlin instead of drinkin my drink the lady behind counter was very pleasent made me smile. helped me with the computor on the lanes sence im from the old days an didnt quite understand the electronic system . she was patient an showed me what i needed to do an an smiled. while she was also doin oreders over at snack bar answerrin the phone an puttin custormors on lanes. she was always smilin. chargers take a look around at your employees ifyou want to improve your business get more of your counter person an less of your bar help . notonce while i was there did she even come out an try to help the one person who seemed to be the only one workin. i was there a total of five hours an while some of that time was not the most pleasent i will be back but only because of the service of your one employee . give her some credit she does deserve it .

I just moved to the area recently and decided to take the children bowling. THe place is like ghetto. It is located next to a trailer park and let me tell you there is a lot of trailer park people hanging out. Not to include one of the ladies working there that had rotted front teeth. She was very rude and looked as if she was annoyed with children. The restrooms were filthy and over all the place was very runned down. The prices were over priced for everything inluding bowling and the snack bar.

Goodbye Mark. Congrats on leaving and your new job. Hope all goes well for you. Charger Lanes is currently with out a manager.

Mark Bradley should be commended for the job he has done with the entire house. A bunch of guys from our trio league stopped in twice this past summer, at Mark’s request, and bowled until our arms fell off. I really believe that, based on everyone’s experience, this house is a house that other houses should use as a model for the best bowling experience in Medina county. The food is excellent and the facilities were fresh, clean and fuly functional. Every league captain should be bowling their leagues here, and enjoy bowling once again. Mark, job well done and hope to see you this fall.

Lies I tell you, all lies! Mark is a wonderful addition to the center and will do nothing less than consistently do everything in his power to assure that everyone who enters Charger Lanes will enjoy every minute they are there. Professionalism and courtesy will greet you at the door everytime. With consistent lane conditions and a friendly/clean atmosphere, you should want to bring all your friends here! Also, make sure when you visit Charger Lanes, stop and say hello to Mark. (he is the big bald guy that loves to sing duets)

What has happened to the place in the last few years. Did new owners take over? It definitely isnt the same anymore. It has changed for the worst. Prices are much higher now, they service s*cks and the place is filthy. Its like noone gives a crap. I only bowl 5 or 6 times a year and these things are very noticeable to people that arent there everyday.

I would like to say i have been to brunswick in the past few weeks and want to say that it is improvin sense they got rid of alot of the problems with their employees. its seems alot more nicer to walk in to and not have a real snob behind the counter and a girl in snack bar that was never where she was suppose to be. they had real bad attitudes and i wasnt goin to go back till i knew they were gone. i say give the bowlin alley a chance now you might like it. they have a nice young lady workin behind the counter that always smiles and is polite to you willin to help in any way she can. shes very good with the kids and is pleasent to be around. and the snack bar is startin to have better service with a smile. the bar help is pleasant too. .

I am the new GM of Charger Lanes. I would like each of you who have had a negative experience to call me at the center and discuss it, or stop in. If you will give me and my team the opportunity to make it right, I will do everything I can to do so.

I forgot to mention how filthy that place was. The restrooms smelled of raw sewage. It was just absolutely disguisting.

Comment Date: 1/26/2007 Name: Michelle
Avoid. This place has rude employees. I don’t think anyone there knows what they are doing. It was one of the most waste of money activities that I have ever done. My lane kept messing up I kept going up to the counter and the lady working the caounter didnt care about it. I tried to get a sandwich from the snack bar but couldnt get anyone to wait on me. Then later in the evening I went back to the snack bar and the young lady that was on the lane beside me was the lunch counter girl. No wonder why I couldnt get waited on. She was too busy lolly gagging with her buddies. I ordered a burger and was told that the were out. So I asked for a Chicken sandwich instead but they couldnt do that either. They were out of burger buns. So from now on I will go to another bowling center for my bowling entertainment.

More than one time we went there during the day when they were supposed to be open only to find that it was not. Made for some very disappointed children.

Comment Date: 3/9/2006 Name: Anonymous
Horrible Horrible horrible. We had a lot of lane problems. My ball kept getting stuck, the machine kept breaking. The stocky bald guy working at the front was very rude. Everything was overpriced. I ordered a drink at the bar after waiting for the lady to look it up in her manual she then informs me she couldn’t make it. So I ordered an overpriced beer. The restrooms were very dirty although they did smell good.
