This is got to be one of the best bowling alley that I ever seen. I really love the price of $1.75 on a weekend. The lady at the front desk is so friendly & put a smile on people’s faces. And I did bowled for 3 games & it was excellent. My third & final game that I bowled was way too good. My average was 167 at Shell Lanes & I did practice so well, I thought to myself that I do want to be in a league even I did work so hard. I have to use my sideway hook throw on my right hand & my fingers tuck in gently (just like a baseball player uses a sidearm pitch) by releasing it underhand & throw while spinning it to the left hook like a curved rainbow as I finishing release quickly while walking fast in approach before landing the foul line & made myself a strike. But anyway, I did have a whole lotta fun at Shell Lanes in Brooklyn, NY (just across the street from the Coney Island overhaul subway train facility & storage yard), I will come back every week if I have to & I hope that the price remains the same every weekend & I will continue to bowl over there like always. And it is nearby the Avenue X subway station on the “F” train elevated platform on the Culver line in the Gravesend section in Brooklyn. Thank you Shell Lanes for having me there for the first time around & continue on with the friendship smile at the place. I really love your bowling alley over there.

Pro Shop Alan was very helpful. The new Track Rising ball I purchased as a christmas gift to my self is awesome. I have been averaging over 200 over the last 3 weeks of league. One thing that Shell’s management needs to do is to revamp is AC’s system. The place turns into the Old Boston Garden hot box in the summer. Other than that its a awesome place with mostly cool people.

It’s a shame that the HOT SHOTS destroyed the Sunday Night League and forced the founder/secretary in leaving for the 2005/2006 season. What these bowlers fail to realize is, that the weekly fees of bowling include the cost of bowling. These BOWLERS count this as costs and not the actual monies they pay into the league. SO to say, the SUNDAY NIGHT CLASSIC pays too little to the top teams is incorrect. They were the first in the city to quarantee $100 per man for last and also allowed low average bowlers to join.
They programs offered were great, and they were the only league to fill the house twice in a five year period, and average 24 teams for 12 years running. I will miss him alot. Please come back.

I DO NOT like the Sunday league at all. I felt if you bowled in it the only way you could try to make a penny in that league is by coming in first… the money is weak, the bowlers are weak, and so are the officers…

I would like to say that the Sunday Night Mixed Classic, is one of the best leagues I ever joined. I’ve been bowling for over 25 yrs from Men’s scratch to fun leagues, and I have found this league to be the most fair for all bowlers. The officers are first rate and the founder puts his heart into the league every second he is there. The management of Shell Lanes should have more leagues like this one and people like this who care about their leagues.

I would like to say that the Sunday Night Mixed Classic , is one of the best leagues in the house. The people running the league, allows all bowlers to join for low average to high average. It is the most fair league I ever joined.
