All i have say is that the lanes are to over oiled plus HDCP is not suppose to not get more than 65 pin HDCP and when your getting 88 thats unfair and it is not fair when you get only 43-45 HDCP their is no way of win any games when people start off with 300 in 3rd frame that is not competition !! The whole league is lost when its suppose to be fun. Not Work and not getting no where.

Just finished a summer league at Thruway Lanes. Lanes always in good shape, my ball was never damaged. They offered a free picnic with prizes. My wife and I had a great time.

The staff there is definitely the WORST, the definitely think they are ABOVE everyone. They forget the reason why they have a job is because of the Customers. When you join a league it will take you a month after the league ends to get your ball!

Thruways lanes has an excellent shot the leagues are run properly. the only problem i have is with the staff they seem to think the are above everybody else, like it is a privilege that they are letting you bowl on there alleys. Otehr than that the lanes are always in good repair and the facility is in decent shape. They really run the hell out of their snack bar staff too

For all those complaining about Thruway, you have no idea what you are talking about. Thruway is probably the best center in the area. I have never had a malfunction in the four years i bowled league there, and if the ball return does damage your ball, they give you a new one for free. Also, for the man that said that the lady in the pro shop only wants your money, you are wrong sir. Sue is probably one of the nicest and most intelligent shop workers in the area. If you want to talk trash about a center, may I suggest Lancaster Lanes. Every time you go there something breaks down. The management is horrible and the people that work there couldn’t care less of you, but that’s not entirely their fault, it is a horrible place to work.

I bowl on Thursday nights on a FUN league and the lanes are always consistantly in good repair. They have a good shot and the service is excellent. I have bowled in every hosue in western NY and Thruway Lanes is in the top 3. I bowl here during the week also and the prices are on par with other bowl places in the area. The pro shop has everything a bowler would need to have fun and bowl well. I would recommend Thruway Lanes to anyone who wants to have a good time.

The perfect end to a screwed up season… I was in a FUN league, with a premium for joining. I feel that my not getting my stuff was in a way some sort of petty revenge from the staff at that mismanaged hell hole! I had a problem, and had the nerve to say something about it. They had to actually do something, and were upset… Boo-hoo I can’t sit on my butt and watch people bowl. I *GASP* have to use customer service skills to deal with a problem! Never mind that they screwed up. I guess if you stand up for yourself, and are not a sheep, it makes people uncomfortable… Hey, you knew the job was dangerous when you took it! Just ask Super Chicken!
I cannot understand why this happened. I know I called and it was confirmed on 3 separate occasions that I wanted the poster package… I put a note in with my money on the first week, and even talked with an employee that was handling everything (useless tool!) To find out at the end I could not get it. Better yet, to be told I owed $15 at the end, for what I asked. Oh for my memorabillia package, of course! Then to be told I still wasn’t getting my stuff was beyond incompetant! How could you not know what I was supposed to get, and those of you who were supposed to get hats, that didn’t… I would raise all kinds of a fuss until I got my hat, never mind that you didn’t want it! I actually didn’t want to talk to the manager again, because I was certain I would have done something I later would regret… That’s how pissed off I am right now! Red stapler/Milton pissed off! Tornado? Why not 100 yards further? kind of pissed off!
Then, I can’t get my money I paid in without manager approval? I paid for the stuff, they never delivered, and I have to wait while they ask daddy for their allowance? (The truth is they probably didn’t have enough in the register to cover it) This is total BS, and just goes to further the feeling that they never gave a rats behind about us… Funny how we all walked into an empty bowling alley today? I guess we all know why it’s empty.

The equipment seems to break down daily. I have been there a few times and the lanes are never working correctly. The staff sits behind the counter talking and act as if you don’t exist.

Their lanes are in poor repair, I threw a brand new ball and it came back witrh gouges in it, from “nails” in the pin area. I left the ball for 2 weeks at the pro shop and they flatspotted the ball. When I asked the woman in the pro shop why it was not repaired, I was told I had a cheap ball and it wasn’t worth the effort. They do not care about anything but getting your money. Avoid this place, and go have fun somewhere else.

I bowl in a non sanctioned fun league on Friday nights and have not had a pleasurable experience. Scores are not added correctly, we are charged for equipment that is supposed to be included inthe price of the weekly bowling, several of friends balls have been chipped and marred, then told that it is not worth the center’s time to repair “cheap” balls, we get cancelled with no notice, the lanes are hit and miss on a weekly basis, and overall, I am not a satisfied customer. I do not like to give money to places that do not respect me as a customer.

My son and I came here a couple of months ago. We came after 8:30 and were charged $1.75 per game. Well we came on Friday 3-3-06 and to my suprise the price doubled, WHY? I can see an increase but twice the amount, that’s not right. I probably won’t be back.
