Excellent house, very clean, friendly service, good pattern, The masking graphics are sooooo lame though. Otherwise, no complaints at all!!

Though the per-game price is a bit high for the off-the street customer, if you join the e-club you get coupons which give you some nice deals like 2 hours for $9 or $1.49 games. I like Strathmore for practice, the place is huge and I usually don’t have anybody on the lane right next to mine. During the winter the shot is nice; a good shot is rewarded and a bad shot isn’t. You usually want to play 2nd arrow if you’re a righty, outside of that you’re prone to getting overreaction downlane. In the summer it can be a bit funky because they seem to cut back on the oiling schedule with so few leagues, and from what I see, they like to overuse the low end of the house and keep the high end untouched during the day instead of spreading things out evenly (keeping the lights and monitors off at the high end makes it obvious that they are doing this).
Strathmore also has the best pro shop in the area. They are open six days a week, they have a great selection of balls and shoes, and the guys in there know the sport. I told them what I wanted my new ball to do and they drilled it up and it does exactly what I asked for. 80 percent of the bowlers in leagues at my home center (elsewhere in central NJ) go to Strathmore when they want to either buy a ball or get one they bought elsewhere drilled, they’re obviously onto something.

I bowl on tuesday night and the center doesn’t even care about how they treat their league bowlers. When it comes to the parking. Well lets just say that the bowlers have to park sometimes by blockbuster and Denninos area or in the boondocks. The movie theater with the promotion they are offering is having us bowlers having to park far away from the center. Come Strathmore do something about the parking. Yes the food has gone up along with the locker fees. The roof is always leaking, but our lineage goes up also. So where is this money going to besides the electric, paying employees, supplies and food. How come the center is making alot of money but not doing ANY REPAIRS where needed. Maybe all league bowlers should get a petition going to get the center caring for the league bowlers. We’re payng customers just like the open bowlers.

Had a death in the family. wouldnt allow a pre-bowl on a staurday even though their was 8 open lanes that I saw while I was standing at the counter. Every sunday, they fail to staff the desk adqequately when the league is coming in. If you are a league looking for a home. STAY AWAY. THEY DONT CARE

OK, But…
Cares more about their occasional open bowling business then the regular league bowlers.
Raise their lineage and food every year (I can understand that), then they raised their locker fee by 40%, they also disallowed leagues to bowl between Christmas and New Years (to get the open bowling CASH). They also put in the league contracts that they can with one week notice cancel bowling for other types of events (corporate parties, money making events) FOUR TIMES A SEASON.
What ever happened to taking care of your regular (LEAGUE) bowlers???
No wonder centers are closing, loosing league bowlers

This alley is OK but nothing special.
I noticed that the staff have their favorite regulars and ignore everyone else.
One of my friends is a buddy of the counter person and get our shoes for half price [cash discount]. The food is outragously expensive and not very good. I would only come here when there is nothing else to do. When we want to have more fun, we drive a couple of miles to another bowling alley.

I’ve been going to this bowling alley for 18 years and I’ve never had a problem. Lanes are well kept and they just got brand new computers for 2008, that even give you the speed of your ball. Strathmore Lanes is definitely one of the best bowling alleys in Jersey and I’ve been to a bunch.

The ball return machines are slow as are the resetting machines, but over all not a bad place.

Great Place to go but it costs to much.

This is an amazing bowling ally. Ball selection is great, lanes are very good and people there are nice and night bowling is great.
Overall one of the best bowling alleys I’ve been to.
