What a GREAT place for summer bowling. This place is offering a practice rate for all bowlers of $1 per game on Fridays. The lanes conditions aren’t crap either. Highly recomended place too, its clean and friendly and theres always people bowling so theyre keeping busy too…

Local Seacoast, held association tournament at Strikers. Wasn’t surprised to see tournament director show up late again, after scheduled check-in time for participants. Then again, this is norm for this gal.

If ya haven’t heard we have a GREAT night of entertainment set-up for our big bash on New Years Eve. We have Jimmy (PJ) Walsh the comedien will go on stage at 8:30 PM to get the night started. Of course we’ll eat first, full buffet to include salad, veggie tray, sandwich tray, lasagna, chicken and beef, pasta and more!!! Then as things progress we will be rocking into 2011 with SWITCHBACK. Thats right we hired two of the best in local entertainment, all for the short price of $30 per couple. No way to beat this deal, bowling and shoes included… Call Strikers for tickets NOW!!!

Bowled in an NAT tournament at Strikers in Raymond and was very impressed. The center was very clean and had a really open concept. The lanes scored well and machinary ran good, the staff was very well versed and the pricing was better than average. The comment about the steak tips is completly true, they were awsome and Steve the owner was gratious enough to give my wife his receipe. A+ is my vote for this center and thats my first of many visits up to NH.

steve…great job with the high hopes tourney last weekend. EVERYONE…TRY THE STEAK TIPS

I bowl here every week on a league and have experienced nothing but friendly and helpful staff. I have only known of Steve since joining this league this past fall and he is well liked by all.
Everyone can have a bad experience anywhere and if they were mature enough, they would call management, write a letter or speak in person to someone in charge. Slandering a business and keeping an attack going on line is nothing more than grade schoolish to say the least.
I don’t quite know why I bother reading it, but I am impressed every time that Steve does not bother to respond. He is obviously above that.
So, Tom & Grace and everyone else that is reading this bs, stop reading and enjoy a night of bowling and see for yourself. It is a neat, clean and friendly family environment. Period.
Keep up the good job, Steve!

Bowled here over the weekend, decent time. Greg -Who was asking about DDR?? Leave the promotion for your own website please. **NOTE** confused (7/14/07) asked “What is ddr?” – B2U Staff**

Comment Date: 2/24/2009 Name: Greg
Sorry DDR is Dance Dance Revelution Which is the game in the arcade there that arrows pop up on the screen and you need to hit on the pad when they hit the top. Hard to explain but poke your head in their next time you go, and if your feeling adventurous give it a go! Only 50 cents :]

Congrats to all staff members and especially Steve and Lisa for another amazing pro-am weekend. Raising over 19,000 dollars for charity is insane. Thanks for having this event every year. I look forward to helping and not to mention to bowl with the greats. It is nice to know there is a bowling center that still takes pride in the sport. Cant wait for pro-am 2009!

THIS PLACE was cool with a good fun filled atmosphere. We were greeted by a nice friendly staff at the service area and the food was awsome for a bar and grill. We thought the prices were fair for a night of entertainment and we did the glow in the dark bowling(boy have things changed). MY KUDOS to the staff and managers this place deserves a good grade, it is very well maintained and clean.

No Iam not ashamed to put my name on here. I have bowled all over this country, Been to elaborate bowling centers and small home town ones as well I have not seen a more assertive group of owners in any center they are both informative and friendly. as far as the staff yes there have been we will say unprofessional but as a whole everyone is friendly. Some one wrote Steve Hardy was a weath of knowledge well thats an understatement any one that knows him and his wife knows they VERY MUCH care about what goes on in that center and I know first hand they try to accommodate most VALID problems. Steve N. in the pro shop does an admirable job at his work. The place is clean and the services are more than comforting. I am sure an open minded person would see right through the negitive comments about Strikers East. Thank you for reading and enjoy your game.

Funny how all the bad comments are coming from no named people. Really funny B2U whats that mean you comment on bowling alleys you read about? Then a guy (Eric) makes a comment about the service he recieved and he’s shilling for the bowl… YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET A LIFE. The staff at Strikers does just fine and the prices are the best i’ve seen. The foods good too!!! GET A LIFE WIL YA

It’s a shame that you people with the negative outlook are wasting a great resource. Maybe if you actually took the time to talk to Steve about your issues, if they are legitimate issues, things could be resolved. I only see Steve twice a year at best, at the States and the Northeast Tournaments. When I do run into him and talk to him about bowling he always willing to take the time to talk to me.
Not only is Steve a wealth of information but I have also seen how he interacts with open bowlers. You people have nothing to complain about and my guess is the ones hat are complaining are the type that would complain just to complain.
When I bowled in the state tournament in Raymond last year the teams that I went with were all happy with the center. Bowling is supposed to be fun, instead of looking for something to whine about relax and have fun, who knows you might even bowl better.

HEY ANONYMOUS you have no point in your post other than to say your easedrop on other poeples conversation. I don’t know all the staff there but who cares, mind your own business… The owner Steve is there all the time, can’t imagine him saying anything bad to a customer either. Why can’t people that make the comments put thier name to them. Maybe because they are petty and have no merit or are full of it…. This site does no justice to bowling centers either by allowing personal posts such as the anonymous ones. I understand that folks have bad experiences at centers and they should be allowed to post them. BUT whenever sombody pokes back they represent or work at the establishment, well, I bowl there and Strikers East is a decent place!!!

Comment Date: 3/27/2008 Name: Anonymous
Amen I totally agree. Someday Steve will take this critisism and use it to his advantage.

Comment Date: 3/26/2008 Name: Anonymous
everyone has the right to rate this establishment, that is what this site is for. In my opinion most of the negatives are accurate and there is alot of buisness ethics that need to be reevaluated by the owners. There is not proper topics and statements made to the customers and regualars from all staff members and even from its owner. There maybe positive out looks to the place such as there are great league opertunities but there is alot of work that needs to be considered when it comes to the staff. There should bve less controversial things being discussed by the empployees it is different if its the customers but the staff is suppose to be a rolemodel and even the owner is a negative rolemodel. So start stepping up to your responsibilities.

Comment Date: 3/21/2008 Name: Another Reader B2U
Everyone has a right, good or bad, to say what they feel. Not an easy business to be in. As they say, you can’t please all the people all the time.

Comment Date: 3/20/2008 Name: Reader B2U
The negatives, far out way the possitives… This speaks volumes……..How long will this continue to cosume this site for this house….. H_U_S_H If you can’t say something possitive, say nothing…. this would then become a BLANK page……

Comment Date: 3/19/2008 Name: Anonymous
the staff was rude and said many unperfessional statements that its customers do not want there children adapted to hearing. Staff needs to watch what they say and how they say it. lanes were very dry

Comment Date: 3/12/2008 Name: Curious
Eric N, you posted “I’m not shilling for Strikers . Just offering an honest opinion.” – just curious you you came to the realization that the Steve in the pro shop, was indeed Steve Hardey on the same day you posted your first post? Sounds like a little PR work from Strikers maybe?

Comment Date: 2/25/2008 Name: Ten Pin Lee
32 (perhaps 34) lanes of Brunswick A-2 equipment. I had a great time. Paid $3.50 a line for open bowling in Feb 2008.

Comment Date: 2/24/2008 Name: Eric N.
Well, reading the posts on this site has been entertaining as heck but I’ll get to the point. I’m sure that the “serious” league bowlers have justifiably high standards and as a relative newbie I don’t know how Strikers stacks up. As a newbie though I have to give the place very high marks. Great pro shop (thanks Steve) and the staff that I’ve dealt with so far have been great, as have the other customers. I honestly can’t evaluate conditions but I did find everything on and off the lanes immaculately clean and in good working order. I wouldn’t know Mr. Hardy if I stepped on him and the drama evident in these comments is pretty amusing, but I’ll keep on bowling at Strikers. For the record, I’ve bowled Stadium in Manchester as well and have an equally high opinion there.

Comment Date: 2/24/2008 Name: Eric N.
Amending one thing in my previous comment. Apparently the Steve that I thanked from the pro shop IS Steve Hardy. Certainly no complaints here… I got great customer service, good advice and a great deal and no, I’m not shilling for Strikers . Just offering an honest opinion.

Comment Date: 2/9/2008 Name: Anonymous
Staff doesnt respect the customers they have.

Comment Date: 2/7/2008 Name: Steve Hardy
AMEN…. and you will be missed,we can’t afford bad feelings. Every bowler has their right to their opinion too, don’t feel bad for that either. There is always hurdles to jump during a tournament, sometimes they cause grief. BUT, please remember that Strikers East used to be in that assoc and we left for very serious reasons. I beleive you remember what those reasons were too!!!
Thanks again
Steve Hardy

Comment Date: 2/4/2008 Name: Mr. Former
Mr.Former was on time and there 1 1/2 hours BEFORE the squad began, yes i was wrong for not signing up ON TIME. I didnt read the rules and i guess by your post you didnt either so i guess we were both wrong. But what i was complaining about is that there were over half the house availible to bowl on, it wasnt like they were two busy to take three or four bowlers and what happened to the courtesy anouncement that every center announces. Steve Hardy from what i heard announced every squad after that. Lucky them. Every one thinks iam bashing the directors they do a great job being a volunteer and all, thats not my intention at all I applaud them for the job they do. In this case i was mearly complaining about the announcement and the lack of of being pressed to get it going on time. I just think it could of been handled more diplomaticly. And I am sorry that I wont “be missed”

Comment Date: 1/31/2008 Name: former assc. officer and member
Steve, thank you for speking so honestly to the comment from former member…… I too left SNH. but only because I retired from bowling, however. Let it be known, I applaud the assc. manager for following through with the rule. To many over the years, expecting to sign up when they felt like it have spoiled it for the one time honest late entry. Rules are in place for a reason. In the past the rules have been bent for these “never on time” bowlers and so often that it was effecting all that signed in on time. You pick a time because its convenient to you, and you expect the tournament to start at that time… Not half an hour or more late because of late entries.. It also throughs off the centers time schedule….It sets all squads running late… It does not JUST affect that one squad… Next time Mr. former should just try playing by the rules and be on time. More tournaments should inforce the rule…I do not believe his leaving SNHBA will cause any grief…. Some play by the rules….

Comment Date: 1/28/2008 Name: Steve Hardy
Unfortunatly former is correct, I was going to bowl that squad and also like former I failed to read the rules that stipulated 1 HOUR NO EXCEPTIONS. I understand we allowed the tournament plenty of lanes and the association reps could have let us bowl, but last year the tournament ran 3 hours late, this is why they made the rule so strict. ALSO a note to you former: I think you bowled the first weekend and you already knew that rule was being strictly enforced by playing you must have read the entry blank…so shame on you.

Comment Date: 1/26/2008 Name: SNHUSBCBA FORMER MEMBER
I was at Strikers to bowl in the SNHUSBCBA tourn. I was waiting to sign up for the 2:00 squad and overheard a doubles team tring to sign up for the 12:00 squad it was 11:20 they were told they could not bowl because they had a hour before the squad time to sign up and did not do so, so they could not bowl in the 12:00 squad. Obviously they were upset I turned to look at the amount of members ready to bowl and was shocked that there were over 18 pair of lanes NOT USED by touney members> It hit me right then if they are stuggling to get members and entries for the ASSOCIATION and turn down bowlers who were there to show support for their association and were turned away. Why was I there. I walked up to one of the individuals and told them my feelings and agreed with them, Just then I heard the owner make an announcement to the center about signing up for the tourney he was told no one could bowl in the 12:00 squad if they hadnt signed up already, He said really cause he was going to bowl as well but couldnt. Thats SAD. OK now there was three bowlers turned away at $20 an event seems pretty lousey for the bowlers and the accociation. well it was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I started the off saying SNHUSBCBA FORMER MEMBER which i will be bowling in the other association next season, thanks SNHUSBCBA for opening my eyes. To the three that were not allowed to bowl I sympatize with you and there is another asscociation that WILL welcome you as well. Oh Yeah sorry make that four that didnt bowl I WALKED OUT.

Your off your rocker, the center has an upbeat staff now, and clean very CLEAN even the restrooms are spotless!! Outdated scoring system where’d you get that, I think its brunswick scoring too, where are you from MARS? approaches are a little tough depending on the weather they can be tacky. But dirty, outdated and rude you must have been someplace else they even added these really cool couches and message chairs. LATER DUDE

the staff was rude the lanes bowled like a lawn and the place was dirty, pricy and has an outdated scoring system. i will never bowl there again.

I am sick and tired of the drama i hear aroun d this place. {name deleted} should not be getting drunk in your bowling alley at 5am when shes supposed to be closeing. If you dont believe this fact6 check your cameras. But you are going to lose your buisness due to underage drinking in your facility. THis girl needs to be taken care of most of your customers cant stand her drama and her lies any further. She was drinking the night of the pro am….

To all of those on this board posting. Every center has it’s pluses and minuses. I have bowled in all of the 10 pin centers in the state during turnament play. Every year the host house is bashed about the kind of shot there is or isn’t. As a bowler we have the equipment for the different shots we experience all around the US including National’s too. Bowlers experences are based on their preformance only. If a bowler bowls poorly it is the houses fault but if a bowler bowls well nothing said about the house then. The shots put out in the houses are to keep the bowlers happy. Every business caters to it’s customers whether it be a resaurant or in this case a bowling center. Of course location is a factor in most peoples reason to bowling in certain centers. If you are a serious bowler travel is no concern if the challenge is there as well as the competion. During the 04 season i bowled from Portland to Raymond in 3 houses. Bowled in tournaments from Augusta, Me to Conn excluding Nationals too. Experience on different conditions in the houses makes us better bowlers. Of course we all have a favorite shot we would prefer but learing to adjust is the WHOLE part of the bowling game. Every house has it’s regulars who will bowl no where but there. As for Steve Hardy being arogant sure why not. He has accomplished goals in the game of bowling most of us would like too. One year he finished first in National’s all events with his teriffic bowling. Myself included would brag if i bolwed as well as Steve does. We all brag about things we do well. It is something we do to make ourselves standout in our accomplishments in life. My belief is that Raymond puts out a difficult shot so it is not boring to us competive bowlers. Thank you for your time and dedication in the sport of bowling. This center promotes bowling for all types from beginner to competive. Hosting the pro – am is a great way for us to meet our role models. Thank you for my experiences in a wonderful place.

I would agree with “Bowler” comments. I live in Raymond so I bowl here, beats the drive elsewhere.

Comment Date: 8/8/2007 Name: Bowler
A little out of the way…I don’t think it’s the “best” place to bowl but, if you live in the area, beats the drive to the other centers around.

Well, we ventured to N.H. and actually visited three different centers. Merrimack we found to pricey, and quite a distance including a toll. Raymond was a little further from our new local than we anticipated, but bright, clean and seeminly friendly. Especially after all we read on here. Asked for the owner to say hello, but he was not on site at the time. Right now we are open bowling both at Stadium and Strikers. In the fall we will decide. Both houses have there pluses. So far we are enjoying the convenience and friendlyness of Stadium, but come winter we will probably decide on the least travel, due to weather….. Strikers, looks like things are running a little smoother… hope it continues and maybe we will meet the owner some day….

Congratulations to the owner/of Strikers. You “finally listened to the masses. Now this site can again be taken for what it is meant to be. I for one am pleased to see this. Hope it continues, Maybe you have all learned this as a lerning curve and have all grown up a bit.. There is much more serious important things in life than a bowling center……… yeah!!! for you all

Comment Date: 6/10/2007 Name: Ben Ho
Wow. I just ran across this site and I figured I may as well throw my 2 cents in. It’s obvious there are a few upset people here and alot of name calling. There is likely no chance of changing their opinion. But for anyone new, here are some facts. I’ve known Steve, the owner, for several years. I’ve bowled with him, against him, traveled with him for tournaments and hung out socially with him. I can tell you he eats, sleeps and breathes bowling. He loves the game and his center. If he worked on a pinsetter during the day, he will call into the center 2 or 3 times that night to make sure it’s still working properly. Even though I’ve taken some time off from bowling, I still visit the center from time to time because of the friends I’ve made (not to mention the food is pretty good too). The leagues were like a second family. Yeah, Steve’s posts can seem a little harsh, but it’s just that he’s passionate about what he’s saying. If you heard those same words in person, you’d see what I mean. It’s worth a visit.

Mike D., Just to clear things up, i have seen people in Strikers East bowling center who have had a poor experience and to be completely honest with you its not my problem, nor will it be my problem. I am not on here to bash the comments and opinions of others. From my point of view, i think a buisness such as this is not an easy buisness to keep 100% of all customers 100% happy. If that was the case, which bowling center would you bowl in? For the rest of everyone on here, i apologize if you for any reason, thought i was bashing other people. Bowling is a passion of mine, i take it very seriously, and sometimes i might get ahead of myself even on the lanes. So again, i apologize if i made any comments that someone might have taken the wrong way.

Steve, Is this what Strikers is all about?? I hope not. After reading these posts, it is you who is doing the attacking and name calling thus, continuing to ruin YOUR reputation or, what’s left of it. Most of the complaints here were about your staff which you acknowleded but, between John, Steve N, Steve Jr AND yourself, you started to bash those who would complain. THIS it what this site is for!!! Good or bad, it is their right to post, you continued this, not them. And further, you dragged this over to Strikers AND challenged a bowler there to a fight?? What are you thinking??? Anyone reading these posts from you surely would think twice before giving you their business. As another poster stated, stop the nonsense.

There are a lot of people here who need to get a life. Steve you are insulting to “all” of ;your bowlers, when you spout off like you have been. :You are only adding fuel to the fire and perpetuating the situation. Lie low for a while. When will you learn you catch more flies with honey than viniger. Let it go and stop with the retoric and idle threats. Actions speak louder than words, so stay off of here and tend to business at your center. This will pass!!! but not if you keep responding. Your reputation preceeds you….

Frequent bowler(Stadium Ten Pin)… THIS SITE was designed for customers of the center, not poeple trying to deface a great place to bowl. Your comments have and will create stir, but hell I’m good at that too!!! 1ST OFF, You claim you only posted once your a lyer and the site will show that your all over it almost a dozen times. 2ND You claim your a customer here at Strikers your claim of 5 league nights at Stadium will surely prove that you may have been in here in years past but you theres not many nights or days left to play here. 3RD You claim I’m arrogant.. OK 1 for 3 isn’t bad I am!!! but not to a customer. I’m arrogant to an ignorant poster that has nothing to lose nor gain by making bogus unnnamed claims that real potential customers will have look at. GOD forbid I bowl at Stadium in the upcoming fall and find out who you really are, IGNORANT is the least of your worries cause I’m know for being well more than ignorant just ask around. Thanks again Craig… As for the other 10 hits we get here judge the center for yourself, come in and enjoy the place idiots like this frequent bowler are all over the world.. UNNAMED CLAIMS at least he or she could step up and put his or her name to the post, if my business is that bad they should be able to inform the public. BUT be man or women enough to let the world know who they are and that they really are a customer of the establishment they’re bad mouthing…

First off, I don’t bowl at Strikers. I am posting here because you Steve Hardey, felt it was your right to not only post on Stadium’s site but, promote YOUR leagues and, attack me for questioning whether or not you should post there. To quote bowling2U..”Comments about Strikers East Bowling Lanes , good and bad, are the opinions of visitors to this website and do not reflect the feelings and opinions of This section is the result of the immense feedback from website visitors who have felt a need to express their positive and negative experinces about a particular bowling center. No entry to this list will be posted until verified by a real person to ensure that NO vulgarity is posted. However, we WILL NOT censor a visitor’s comments about a negative experience and invite the centers to post their response.” Now Steve, you where not posting as a visitor NOR where you posting as the center owner so I was correct in calling you out and do not appreciate you hostilety toward me. After spending the last half hour reading about “what Strikers is all about” you have enough problems of your own. I’m sure either you or one of your friends, John,Steve, etc. will TRY to defend you AGAIN but, promoting YOUR center AND attacking me on another center’s site is unacceptable, PERIOD. Tom and Gracie, run while you can.

After reading todays post, both at Stadium and Strikers, I must say there is a definite difference in the professionlism of both managers. I think Steve does what he thinks is best and in the best interestest of his bowlers, as you can not always please everyone. However the professionalism and manors shown by Craig are remarkable. Bare in mind he did not have to say anything, and after what appeared on his site from Steve I think he was most gracious….. I agree that perhaps Steve, that you should ask the sitse to remove what is currently posted and give yourself a fresh start.

Steve, you just proved my point. I guess I just moved to a communist state where I can’t speak freely. Here’s an idea..ask Bowling2U to take your center off their site then everyone can go to your center and try on your rose colored glasses…btw up until your comment I bowled at your center almost every day, shouldn’t be too hard to figure out who I am since I won’t be returning with your new attitude, I wish you well.

Decided to take that revisted to the site…. We are disappointed to see that the retoric is still continuing.. Thank you for your message of welcome Steve Hardy, but we are looking for a possitive statement from regular clientel and not those who profess to be your friends. I am sure they will be forth coming. We will check back, and still intend to visit your establishment…..good luck!

As the manager for Stadium Ten Pin it is both enjoyable and relaxing to visit and bowl at other centers. Steve and his staff have always treated me with respect and great customer service. Day to day aspects of the business can be trying at times but you do the best you can and keep going forward to make the center successful. We are all stiving to continue to promote the sport of 10 pin bowling here in NH. Steve keep up the good work and we will see you soon.

to sr bowler…. If you go to strikers web site you can view all of its “league” bowlers by league. Count them up, some are counted two and three times as they bowl multiple leagues. Including youth it totals 318 and the site professes to listing all leagues which should make this a rather confirmed accounting of the bowlers there. I agree someone is a very bitter person playning games. Hopefully they will all grow up and stop the nonsence.

Here we go again!!! OK Confused, PLEASE read my posts as well as look at the posts I was addressing. I NEVER SAID I DIDN’T HAVE A STAFF ISSUE!!!! when my regular customers, not these silly posters who undoubtly have issues with posting unnamed and even sometimes bogus complaints.. came to me I addressed the issues that would help me make my business better. I jumped at the opportunity and even replaced several employees. This site is what it is, another place for unnamed people to make claims based on maybe a onetime visit or even a complaint they have seen here on this site. Some even have made jest that Strikers East can run much better if I would just listen to them… Unfortunatly this is never going to happen, I’m the owner, Barbara is my new Manager and we’re working on our new plan and budget for the upcoming summer season.. I think I have had as much of this riggamortis that I can stand, so, John C, Concerned Patron, another Concerned Patron, and now you Confused.. as well maybe several more that may even be one in the same, enjoy whatever place you call home and leave my business out of your travels… We’re here to stay, and its proven we care by the amount of increased business we’re doing.. I address all issues my customers bring to me, I take the time and talk to everyone that comes to me. Try this and you’ll see that too!!! I have to also add, that summer leaguers get $1.00 open play all summer, so come on in and enjoy your summer leagues here at the #1 family oriented entertainment center in state of NH.

Steve Jr, you need to re-read my post, I stated that this site is for unbiased posters, not that your post was biased. John B, this is EXACTLY what this site is for, to let others know, good or bad, what your experience was like. For the record, I bowl here because it is close by and I have been to other centers in the area so, I can compare.

Comment Date: 5/4/2007 Name: Confused
I recently visited this center and I am rather shocked at what I see here on this website! Steve, your prices are great but after seeing how you “handle” things on this site I am disappointed in you. Most posters were complaining about your staff, you went from denying you had a problem, to admitting the problem, to fixing the problem. The only name calling was done by YOU and your friends. This is NO way to run a business. As a previous post pointed out you attack with great venom. I have to say, by the way you respond I would be hesitant to address you with any problem I might have which, is why I did not use my name here. I not trying to be smart but maybe you should think about anger management?

Comment Date: 5/3/2007 Name: New to Area
Not sure if this is place I would spend my money after reading all of these posts from bowlers AND, responses from the owners.

JOHN C, if you would have read my post fully you would have noticed i never blamed a bad experience 100% on a customer. It seems to me people who are arrogant like yourself would want the problem to be on the staff. I think you clearly need to open your mind and eyes and read, understand, and take it for what its worth. Nobody asked you to come on here and try to bash Strikers East, you have stated several times you arent happy with it, yet you keep posting. Apparently you need to spend time in other bowling centers so you have something to compare Strikers too. I dont mean to sound mouthy, and your opinion is very much needed, but this website is not the appropriate place to adress your concerns. Take it to the manager, Steve Hardy. is not going to change Strikers staff or the bowling center at that.

Steve Jr, maybe all the biased comments should be replaced by the TRUE patrons who bowl there?

WOW!!! Things still haven’t changed, patrons put their remarks here, Steve and his friends (Nash, John B, etc.) tell everyone how great the place is and all of us “disgruntled” type are just looking to ruin their reputation. Steve, use your OWN website for self promotion!! Nobody is buying into your pitch here!!!

Umm… John C, I still work there and as far as I know John B hasn’t “worked” there for two months…. He may has helped a friend or two out in the Pro-Shop with permisssion but he has never punched on the clock or gotten paid for it in two months…. So evidently you might want to get better resources for your facts because your still behind the times with staff.

John H Bercier, let me get this straight, it’s the customers fault when they have a bad experience??? Ok, I guess we will all have to try harder or, maybe find another center.

To Tom and Grace,
I will give you a good honest opinion for your travel to NH. You have 3 good choices for your bowling needs as you are aware. Merrimack is a beautiful center, good location although a little pricey, food is good but pricey, sometimes ther’ye a little understaffed too but they have a solid league base. Then theres Stadium in Manchester, good management and plenty of good staff, fair prices, decent food too and prices are very reasonable. Overall not a bad place to bowl at all. Then theres us here at Strikers. We are located a little out between Manchester and Portsmouth, we have hired a NEW manager, owner is always there, the best prices for league and open play out of the three, good food at a reasonable price, good league base, really reasonably priced pro-shop with experienced drill staff. ok sorry, but I’m a little bias to Strikers, I own it. lol… As I have stated here in my posts, we have had some management problems in the past but I’ve taken care of that.NOT TO MENTION, my door is always open.. You’ll enjoy your experience whatever bowling center you call home I’m certain… Have a safe trip to our area and PLEASE introduce yourself if you venture into our place.

Comment Date: 4/18/2007 Name: Steve Hardy
Thanks John, you mean alot to me too!!! Tournament bowler: I was there for the entire tournament, we had one lane breakdown, LANE 5 and it was not used for just the one shift on the final weekend. We had a scoring unit lose comunication on lanes 3-4, however we put the unit in stand alone and posted a score keeper there. As far as the lane conditions and your inability to make the proper adjustments, there were (4) 300 games, (3) 299 games and (2) 800 series rolled during the event. Not to mention the countless 700’s by both BA and WBA sides of the event. I can’t remember a State tournament that posted that many big scores… I’m very sorry you had a tough trip but that event went really well and we were very happy with the results…

Clearly all this “honest opinion” guy has time for is to criticize a great bowling center. I worked at this bowling center and have seen some disgruntled customers because of a mistake they made themselves. i can only imagine what he must have done to completely bash employees and the bowling center in itself. Theres always room for constructive critisism jumpin joe, but there is never enough room for smart a** remarks. I now believe that this website is infact fraud, or so, becoming that way. Strikers has been changing staff around and in my opinion doing a better job. Steve from a customer to an owner, i think your doing a terrific job, i dont know how many times ive walked into your office and you have had your desk filled with papers and such in regards to the bowling center. Your not lieing when you say you have spent a countless number of hours there, i see you almost everytime im there, and im there at least 5 days a week. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and at times busy, which can lead to frustration, but none the less, there great. I have never had a problem with them. I wouldnt worry about the derogatory comments, this bowling center is in fact the farthest out of 4 that i travel too, and without a doubt, my favorite. Like i said, im there at least 5 days a week, at least. Although the shot is a little high scoring, not all bowlers are competative enough to try and learn the real game of bowling. Brian i do suggest the PBA Experience league…….not so walled! Haha!

I would agree with most of what “Honest Opinion” had to say except this, the lanes wern’t so great for me. I was one of the bowlers unfortunate enough to be scheduled on one of the pairs that broke down. Four lanes broken down is UNEXCEPTABLE!! especially for a State Tournament!!!

Even after reading what is on this site about this center, We will still venture to give it a try along with Stadium and Merrimack. .
We are moving to your area in July, and found this a relilable site for bowling center information in the past. Having 3 centers in our new area to choose from looks like a plus for us. We can visit all three and make our decision.
However,we feel that comments mean a lot more than star ratings.. We do not see it as a personal attack on anyone person, other than responses directed at postings from this Steve Hardy. The site says a lot and lets all air their opinions. There is also room here for possitive comments. I can not believe that you would all continue to frequent the site if you thought it was so bad. Seems like some have valid complaints and my take is that if they had been settled in the center, no one would have gone to this site to complain. Other centers in the area also have comments, and apparently have not the array of upset bowlers. Myself we will make my own personal judgement as to where we choose to bowl….and spend my time and money. we are people persons and hope to find a friendly center that offers a pleasant atmousfere. We will continue to visit to see how things progress. Hopefully your center will be able to turn all these negatives into positives long before we arrive….

Dear Happy and Loyal Customer, Pepole have a right to their opinions, that DOES NOT make them stupid!!! A bad experience is a bad experieance, there isn’t ONE post that says Steve is to blame. You need to grow up and stop calling names in my opinion.

Much luck… looks like you may need it…..

I’d like to present a balanced review of Striker’s East. No cheap shots; no pulled punches. Here goes. I’ve never had a problem with the employees. Steve N., in particular, has done great work for me in the pro shop. There have been some mechanical problems, such resetting spotters and incorrect automatic scoring. The lane conditions are consistent, though a little too walled up. I averaged 211 there last summer and I’m not sure that’s right. But that’s a USBC issue, not just Striker’s. (Yes, I know there’s a PBA Experience league available. Maybe that’s the way to go.) Regarding leagues, I couldn’t fit into the scratch Coke Classic because the cap was so low. Given the lane conditions, the cap ought to be higher than a 4-man 770. I understand the business reasons for a 770 (and for the wall), but either flatten the oil pattern, if just a bit, or raise the cap. There just aren’t enough 170 guys left to fill a team. The prices for open bowling are absolutely the best in the area, though Stadium in Manchester has a good deal on Sunday mornings, too. Overall, I like Striker’s and hope to bowl in the scratch league (3-man 600) there this summer, if I can get in.

I’ve been very busy lately (little short staffed) but I will always address ignorance when I see it. I run that bowling center by working hard, very hard sometimes even being there 75 hours a week 7 days. I do travel occaisonally to bowl, however thats why I have a manager in the place. I can see too, I’m not blind. I’ve made several changes in the past four weeks that are going to certainly help the business. BUT SELL, I ask you one question sir: can you do a better JOB or are you just another freak that thinks the doors open and close by themselves? What and who gives you the right to criticize me or even tell me to listen to this ignorance. Your correct too, we played host to the NH State tourney in the entire month of March, things went very very well, the event had a fantastic turnout and we did everything we could to accomadate all the bowlers even you I’m sure. When I say we, my wife Lisa, my staff Barbara, Mindy, Kim, Janet, Steve N, Stephen Jr., Tommy, Bridgett, Paul, Katelynn, Kelly, Joan Marie and myself. I am colorful on the mic, I have 740 loyal league bowlers that will surely attest to that!!! I care about them and the service that I provide to them comes on that very mic, thats why they’re there. People like you sometimes say I’m on the mic too much. HOWEVER those are the same people that didn’t realize the State tourney was even being held at Strikers or that we host the best pro-am weekend in the country, and they probably could care less about the bowling its all about the beer and how many times they had to potty or try to pick up some strange. ALSO LISTEN to me!!!! I will never break glass when it comes to my boy, I love him to death. He has a big problem realizing he’s a junior and sometimes spouts off. Because I’m sure he is exactly like his father and the APPLE has not fallen to far is a good thing for him because I care, work hard, I’m honest and I’m certainly not a hipocrit… my name is on my posts. SO, if he ends up like his father the world will be a better place. I’m sure if your still here posting you’ll be back in the center again, people like you always do. I will continue to do what I do, you try harder hey!!!

I have been a patron and league bowler at Strikers for a long time and although I am not surprized by some of the comments I feel as though they are not a fair assessment of the the center today. It is true that there have been some issues with teenage employees and an older center manager, however Steve Hardy has and is addressing those issues. I have recently learned that the center manager is no longer employed at Strikers and over the last season there have been some welcome additions to the staff and that at the very least they have added someone a customer can feel as though is on their side. It is obvious to me as well as other patrons that Steve has hired and is looking to find more staff that cares about the job they do at Strikers. I have bowled in many centers and my choice is Strikers. The staff is growing up and changing and Steve along with his managers are and will do what they can to make it a great experience for everyone.

Comment Date: 4/3/2007 Name: Honest opinion
Contrary to the defense you are mounting, you would not be doing this if you truly belonged in the position of manager. Owning your business does not automatically mean you are management material. To respond with the venom you are tells me, the problems and complaints I have just read are most likely valid. If not the true response would have been “I am sorry that some feel this way and I am doing every thing I can to rectify it”.. ..Either that or hire yourself a real manager and stay home. Do you really think people enjoy hearing your retoric over the mike…You have been doing this for years, and continued to do so once again during this last State Tournament you hosted…. Many of us that where at that tournament feel that way and will not return to bowl events in your house. Actions speak louder than words. No matter what anyone tells you seems to fall on deaf ears. The good ole boy network is NOT as popular as it used to be… The good ole boys are also deserting you. I suggest you stop whining about how all is unfair to you and look in a mirror….On another more personal note: To attack your own son is inexcuseable. You raised him and to be honest, the acorn does not fall far from the tree. Sort of like you reep what you sow…. This is a good site, and perhaps if you had not disgrunteled so many patrons they would not be responding on a web site. Obviously you don’t listen to them, so they have chosen this venue to strike back at you. Not everyone is in awe of you because you where once a “Professional Bowler’ who plays by his own rules. Learn….. something from these comments, use them in a possitive way. The house is great, the management, and staff need to clean up their act, or sell the place…..

I have been a loyal customer and league bowler here at Strikers for over 6 years now, and honestly, some of the people on this site need to grow up. Obviously they havn’t been around much lately, because things are MUCH better. The staff is much better, again, not to mention the pricing as well. Strikers has a great league line-up in both the winter and summer. If you people have a problem with the way that things are run, do something about it, don’t just post your hatred towards the center on this very unrealistic website. Seriously, what does this site really say about the center? NOTHING. All it is is stupid unhappy people trying to kill the reputation, of what is one of the BEST if not THE BEST center in the state. I feel bad for those that feel so negatively towards Strikers East, because honestly if they would get their head out of where it doesn’t need to be, they would be able to realize what a great place Strikers really is. and by the way, Steve is always willing to help you. Even if he isn’t available at that time, he will still address your concern quickly. So NO ONE has a right to throw him under the bus. He does so much for Strikers, and anyone that doesn’t see that needs to pay attention a little bit more.

i am fixin to move up from atl,ga where bowling is a serious sport and we have some mighty fine
facilities. judging by the your posts here there
seems to be some serious problems between management, open bowl and leaguers which I hope can be straightened out. a good center should have the right mix of open and league play to make it enjoyable for everyone. another thing is to ensure the equipment is up to date and running smoothly and most important that you have lanes that compliment today’s sophisticated bowling balls.

Steve, you may have an OPEN DOOR POLICEY but, would that have changed my post? No, your staff, specifically, your couter person were extremely rude. I stated your prices were good so, why do you state it is ONE person with a grudge? This is MY opinion from MY experience PERIOD. Judging by the posts here, I am not alone. The name I used says it all.

Steve, I have no grudge against you or your business. FIRST, I VOTED ONCE AND ONLY ONCE..PERIOD. SECOND I POSTED ONCE AND ONLY ONCE..THIS IS MY SECOND POST. WHAT I SAID WAS TRUE..YOUR STAFF HAD VERY BAD ATTITUDES..ESPECIALLY THE COUNTER PERSON. My post is my honest opinion, that is what this site is meant for. If I had seen you to discuss this my post really wouldn’t have changed..they still treated me poorly, I didn’t mention you. If you had read my post you would have seen that. Judging by previous posts, INCLUDING YOURS, your STAFF is a problem. Reading other posts, this is a re-occuring problem in fact, the only other negative posts were about your website and, teenagers so, don’t be pointing fingers saying this is only one person posting. I don’t know what happened with the voting but, it looks like the website fixed it. I didn’t post my real name but, I think this name says it all.

Again MY DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN!!! DON’T BE SHY!!!

Just found this site and I have to say, this site is a joke! No accountability for posts or voting. As far as Strikers goes, prices are great but, staff not so good, as previous comments point out, including Steve’s post. Not really thrilled about the teenagers there either but, we were all that age once. Overall I’d give the plac a 2.5 to 3 in my honest opinion.

I have been coming to this bowling center since the first day i started bowling. Ive also known steve hardy on a personal and a buisness level and i know for a fact he would do everything he can, to make the bowling center a place to come back to. Those of you who leave feedback on this website in regards to how much you dislike the staff and so on, you should probably take the time and come down to the center and have a chat with steve himself. Ive had problems, people i nor steve know have had problems and we have adressed them to him and he treated both of us the same. Stop wasting your time leaving 6500 votes on this bowling center until you understand what strikers is all about.

Judging by the posts from this overly concerned patron, somebody has a very big grudge with my business. I like to personally check the posts on this site because before this crap that this one person is playing, it was a good place to get honest critiques from real customers. I AGAIN SAY this patron has left a fine impression with this site as well as my regular patrons. The previous post he made that he signed my name to was changed because the webmaster obviously knew it wasnt from me. I also must say, last week we were sitting on 287 votes and had a somewhat positive outlook of 3.5 stars, seems we’ve been really busy this week and had in excess of 6700 customers vote about how bad my center is to beat down the star rating. My opinion is this overly concerned patron has spent countless hours voting negatively. I thought this site was real, now I think its sad.. anytime sombody can crusify a business without addressing his posts, they should be removed and our voting should be restored.. I honestly think these are coming from a fired or disgruntled employee. I will only again add, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, MY OFFICE DOOR AND PHONE LINE IS ALWAYS OPEN. and unlike the concerned patron I will sign my posts and address your concerns…

Pretty sad when the “owner” has to spend so much time here defending what is obviously true. Perhaps he should spend more time fixing the problems then advertising how great (LOL) “his” center is.

Price would be a 4-5…staff brought my overall to a 0. If I could vote negative numbers I would have.

Comment Date: 2/18/2007 Name: Steve Hardy
First off, I am one of the owners and I am def concerned and aware of the issues in the center. My son has a big mouth sometimes!!! you all should be aware of, if he gets canned by a manager, he’s out of a job… END OF DISCUSSION. I also want everyone that looks at this site to be aware, I address every concern and I would never request a customer should ever leave my business unless he/she were causing problems on the floor. PERIOD. I ask only this, the writer who wants these issues to be addressed needs to contact me personally and I can assure them I will address their concerns. MANAGEMENT problems I am also aware of and I feel I’ve made several strides in rectifying this as well. BUT I would give my personal guarantee that I will listen and act on all of these problems that come to me directly. Our center is an ongoing payton place for personal attacks and my managements staff does nothing to help fix the problem. I’m sorry for my staff, but I’m there Mon-Sat 8am -6pm and I will be happy to listen to all and work for resolution. But I ask anyone here to put thier name to a complaint if they want resolution and DO NOT PUT MY NAME ON SOMTHING I DID NOT WRITE.

I frequent this center often as a guest to a league bowler as well as an occasional open bowler. Over the last couple of months, Ive seen several issues that I dont believe are being addressed. Recently, after listening to and speaking with several league bowlers, I decided to voice my concerns as they say when they discuss them nothing gets done. For starters, management is an issue. No one seems to really know who the manager is or what his function is. I have to agree. The manager appears cold and distant from the customers. Secondly, the kids working there spend more time talking to their friends and/or fondling their significant others then worrying about the customers. Third, one individual who Ive been told is the owners son so dont bother saying anything cause nothing will get done needs to learn how to respect adults and other staff members. On numerous occasions, especially the last week, I myself have heard him complain openly about other staff members, tell people he wont get fired because his dad will just hire him back, and generally just annoy the bowlers by trying to tell them how to bowl and how great he is. I have heard bowlers make several comments concerning this and feel that if it isnt stopped the bowlers will be chased away. I now am listening to chatter about an issue that concerns me greatly which, out of respect to those involved, I will not elaborate on but it should be taken seriously. I think that those involved will know what I am talking about.
On a positive note, I have met the owners and think that they are great people with a big heart. I just hope that these issues are stopped now. It is a beautiful center with tons of potential. And they put on one hec of a pro-am event. I do enjoy coming here and will continue to do so, but I think that more attention needs to be paid to the surroundings.

Seems a shame that people in this area tend to go to this site simply to down grade the local centers. For intance…. Its a shame that people have nothing better to do with their time than ad negative votes for rating, just to bring a center down. I know both Stadium and Strikers. And by the looks of the increase in votes in the last week at the Stadium site some one spent a lot of time re voting negative. At strikers they did the same thing in a positive voting mode. I don’t think Strikers has that many bowlers on the roster in the first place. READ THE COMMENTS FOLKS, AND FORGET THE RATINGS. PEOPLE WHO DON’T LEAVE COMMENTS CAN NOT BE EXPECTED TO JUDGE THE CENTERS IN A FAIR WAY. THEY NEED TO GET A LIFE.

I dont know where else you can go and bowl, not only having a great time, but not paying 4.50 a game. 50 cents sounds a whole lot better to me. Prices are rediculous out there i dont even want to practice anywhere else but Strikers East. I am a very competative bowler and i bowl 5-6 nights a week, and also work in a pro shop. I do not see anywhere else near Strikers East that is run this good. 5 STARS! I love this bowling center!

Strikers East is pretty chill. My sister’s friends used to go there when it was raining/they were looking for something to do. I just graduated from high school and went yesterday with some kids and we decided we are going to go once a week now. And to all the people complaining about teenagers… Not all teens are bad. Most of us are respectable, responsible, young adults but adults don’t trust teenagers. Just remember, you were once in your teens. Strikers East is a good place for seniors, teenagers, and kids. Give it a try, becuase there isn’t much besides candlepin bowling around and ten-pin is clearly better. Also, back in the day I attended numerous birthday parties which were always well done. Recently I noticed the food is even better as well. Other attractions include a small arcade and pool tables, as well as a restaurant/bar that kicked my friends and I off their outside eating area even though we were just waiting for the bowling to open and there was nobody around. I guess that’s my only complaint: if the place isn’t opening for a few minutes and people are eagerly waiting, let them wait. Just because they’re teenagers doesn’t mean they’re bad, and they are bringing in business.
~From a new regular customer… and shut up if I didn’t break 200, I’ll get better!

We have been bowling at Strikers for a little over 6 years now. The new owner has many new improvements, and continually addresses any other problems that arises. We bowl the senior league and Sunday night league, the prices are great where in the summer can you bowl for .50 or a dollar. I find that the ladies room is very clean and adequate. At any time if you need to talk to Steve Hardy he is always available and his office is always open to you or any other bowler. He also is a type of person who will walk up to you any hour of the day and give you tips on how to improve your bowling. He is always available to lend a hand when needed. I also would like to say I have a severe latex and collodion allergy and the center always accomodates my needs. There are very limited places I can go.
As far as posting scores when secretary gives him required info it is available on web site. Our son Tim got his first 300 game ever on May 14 2006 and Steve Hardy and staff acknowledged this and made us feel very good. Score was posted on site and a banner will be put up in the center. We personally have never had a staff problem every one is always very accomodating. We feel there should be more places like Strikers east.

Some of the bad comments are dead wrong, I bowl there 3 times a week and the conditions since they got the new machine have been incredible. They are offering summer leaguers .50 a game to practice. Its really crazy how one person can upstand the image of a center and its proprietor by posting stuff about a great place to bowl. GOOD LUCK to them…TRY this place they are even having a IDOL contest…really cool

Hard to find a good comment here. I’m the one of the owners at Strikers East, some very offending comments on here. Obviously from two very disgrunteled people, I’m very sorry to hear that too. I would like to address them if I may. First off our website has and will now continue to be updated on a regular basis, computer crashed and we lost everything. We do post the majority of the honor scores rolled at the center. HOWEVER, the leagues that bowl here do their own record service and if they don’t provide the information sheets we can’t post it.
I HAVE HAD SOME STAFF ISSUES, however I would never induce poor customer service nor do I personally provide it. Our pricing is the best in the state because we have to, were located between Manchester and the seacoast. The lanes are conditioned with a brand new kegel lane machine and are very consistant. For the league bowler, we offer game passes for missed or absent nights, a special practice rate of $.50 and $1.00, discounts of up to 25% in the pro shop and free cocktails to any two teams that experience a lane malfunction, a strikepool that carries a jackpot of up to $3.000, 3-6-9 pot that pays out 5-1, NOT TO MENTION A RATE OF $8.50 for the 3 game match. If i can remind bowlers thats $3.00 less than any other center in the area. For the open bowler we offer $1.00 games and shoes on Friday evenings from 4-7, a lane rental special on Sundays for $8.00 per hour, $25 lane rental for the entire evening of cosmic, shoes included and good for up to six people, quartermania where everythings just .25. NOW add that to the well lit parking area, very very clean restrooms and smoke free envirement and a full service restuarant attached to the facility. Thank you very much for visiting us and our site and I’m sorry you felt your service was subpar but PLEASE check us out again if you have had a not so pleasureable experience in the past we continue to strive to get better.

Back again. Went to website for one more visit. Updated 1/6/6 according to whomever does the web site. No scores, no pertinent info other than to promote “all nite locking” Get real, why bother with a web site. Who ever is there league co ordinator, manager, owner etc. Has no business mind. I will not waste my time again…….

Wonderful website. Never up to date except to promote lockins???? Why bother…. Waste of time to visit. No helpful info at all. I bowl leagues there and so much for listing weekly scores….. Guess no one’s been bowling…

As a person formally from Ohio I find the Center is a bit far out, but once there a clean bright center. Staff could be more attentive to clientele. Proprietor is not easy to deal with, if not necesesary. His manner lacks any type of professionalism that one usually finds in proprietors. Being from the midwest I have always dealt with a proprietor that were eager to please the in house bowlers. Never his own circle of “friends” taking priority. One main problem is the shot. It seems to change daily.. To bad, it could be a terrific house with a little house cleaning and self dicipline. People do not like to be dictated as to how their leagues should be run.

Strikers East is just another average center offering nothing different than others. It is located pretty far out into the country and is great for people who live in that immediate area. For those who travel it is a different story. One for see able promlem is the control of teen agers. It is difficult on any given night not to have to run the gauntlet of kids to either enter or leave the center. Lock ins with little supervision are an accident waiting to happen. There YABA program does prove to be the biggest plus to the center, and my children have in the past enjoyed it.

The center is not that easy to find. There is usually a crowd of unsupervised teenagers hanging around the entrance. The propritor leaves a lot to be desired. They are usually understaffed and the person working the grill is the same person accepting money for bowling…. haven’t ever seen any hand washing going on! Not somewhere I would take the kids or let them go to lock-ins which are not very well supervised!
