Great lane conditions for our 2008 Ladies State Tournament that we participated in Feb 16-17, 2008. Thank you! Teresa Hollars, Bellevue, Nebraska |

I love the prior comment. The lanes can not be damaged due to “Lofting” as they are synthetic and harder than the prior commentor state. I also doubt seriously that this person knows what ball damage is if they think pro anvilane can be damaged by a bowling ball. This bowler probably bowled bad and couldnt find it in themselves to think it might be them. Isnt bowling good bad and great what makes an AVERAGE?
As far as sticky and slick lanes – yes, this can happen on the first pair of lanes as this is where we put dry slide and one lane will get a heavy dose as that is where we start. Sorry about that.

Lane conditions vary widely on League nights; on 9/15, lanes 35 & 36 were so different, we nicknamed 35 as “Slicky” and 36 as “Sticky” Our shots were as different as night and day on those two lanes. Furthermore, the equipment is known for damaging balls, sometimes severely; and the lanes are pitted somewhat from bowlers who feel they have to loft their balls three or four feet into the air to make their shots. In other words, Management and League officials do very little to encourage proper technique. |
