This establishment is great! The owners work 14-16 hours a day, they work their tail off to help each bowler. Yes, the equipment may be a little old, it may be in a strip mall, and may be small, but it is Boone for cryin out loud. Until there is another choice in Boone, this is where we bowl, like it, or go off the mountain to bowl. Myself, and a bunch of others, we like it!

I took my family bowling due to bad skiing conditions and we had a blast! The place was smoke free and was very clean and family friendly. It was very busy because of the holidays, but we only had to wait 10 minutes for our lane and the kids had fun in the arcade room while we waited. The couple that worked the front desk were older individuals and were doing the best they could to maintain all the demands of the public. Very nice people and really wanted our kids to have a good time. We will be back for future family vacations for sure! Thank you.

The customer service here is as bad as it gets. The two men that work the front are as rude as you can possibly be. Completely out of line and something should be done about it.

i have bowled on leagues at boone bowling center since 1985… the owner/operator has been more then good to me over the years…being a business owner myself i understand things that they deal with, as in the PUBLIC, and i know that when you have a small business, and you work 7 days a week, its very stressful…. so overall, if you dont like boones bowling center, then go to lenoir or hickory and ask for the owner personally….. youll find both places are corporate, and the owners are actually nowhere to be found…support local business……not corporations…

Asked how much it would be to drill a bowling ball and the guy with the accent said it would be $80, the league bowlers told me to go down to hickory. The bowling balls in his pro shop are nearly 10 years old and still priced around $300 does this guy know how to run a pro shop?

how about a picture of your center would be much appreciated.I used to bowl in a small 10 lane house on base Navy.It was pretty good for it’s size.It had a beer machine and soda machine.Fancy that,a beer machine!I bowled pretty decent although not at first as I just moved here from OK. Anyway is your house Brunswick or AMF? I got my very first 200 there,a 208at 15years old! The house we bowled at was Brunswick Gold Crown with above lane ball returns. When I say we I mean me and my brothers. It was about 10mins.driving from where I went to high school, really convenient and only 50cents /game and 25cents shoe rental,I’d spend a good part of a Saturday afternoon there until an hour before eveningleague at 6:30 to condition the lanes for their practice.I really enjoyed and miss bowling there even to this day. They closed it partly because they thought it was “past it” and that it wasn’t making money I beg to differ ESPEcially at 50cents a game and 25 cent shoe rental .One would be crazy not to want to bowl for that. The base contracted to build a brand new one further down the road,20 AMF lanes with82/70pinspotters and AMF Surepik ball returns and AMF Magic Score monitors overhead. It was completed about a year after I went into the Navy myself in 1982so I din’t get to see it until then ,after a couple of overseas deployments.Really nice they just completed a major renovation a couple of years ago. It”s REALLY NICE TOO.ANyway thank you for reading this hope you enjoy,by the way they charge just over $2.00/game for uniform personnel and about $2.50for guests{MUST accompany military personnel with I.D.card,You CANNOT get a lane otherwise. You can’t even use the snack bar for the same reason}.Sorry this is so long feel free to edit.Again,Thanks for taking time to read this .

I bowl here a few times a week and it’s always a good time, even with my poor scores. It’s not the newest or fanciest but it’s a great part of the community and I’ll spend my money here to support them.

No one bowling here is earning a living doing it so let’s just try to keep it fun. Lots of oil, not a lot of oil, just adapt your game and equipment to the conditions – like you’re supposed to. I bowl here and enjoy myself quite a bit. Give them some slack.

It was built within a strip mall for gosh sakes, it’s not going to be a first class facility. Small changes in how it’s run and some better maintained or newer equipment would make a big difference but I don’t see them happening under the current ownership. I know I don’t have the money to try to buy him out and run things how they should be, how about anyone else? Or what about building a competing bowling alley in Boone? There are more than enough bowlers to support more than just this place.

Having bowled in Boone on Friday night mixed leagues for the past year I can tell you the lanes are not oiled or prepped prior to league play. Arrive a bit early and you’ll see the general public using the lanes up until 10 minutes prior to league practice starting. Other facilities will close down the lanes at least an hour ahead of time and oil the lanes so they are fresh for league bowling.

Boone Bowling is a very clean Facility. However they should improve their quality of customer service. Their are 2 of the employees that provide good customer service. The Italian and the girl working the grill. The lanes are well kept however only on league nights, if their hasnt been a league, then OBVIOUSLY they will not waste money to oil the lanes, which i can understand. OVerall out of 10 i give boone bowling center, an 8.

I unfortunately have to agree – the only staff member there who you could call polite, cheerful and pleasant is the girl working the grille on Friday nights! Lanes are bone dry, dirty and the ball return equipment is old and worn out. Don’t bring a ball you value here.

I don’t understand how Boone Bowling can be an accredited US Bowling Congress house where sanctioned leagues are held. The general public is bowling right up until the league practice starts, the lanes are not cleaned nor oiled whatsoever.
I can bowl 3 games here and the ball is bone dry and covered in filth. I can bowl 10 games at Bo’s in Lenoir and any other bowling house within 75 miles and see evidence of oil on the lanes and come away with less dirt and belt marks from the return equipment, even on non-league nights.

customer service doesn’t even really exist here. we took our 2 young sons bowling for the first time today. the younger son had some trouble getting his ball to go all the way down sometimes and the ball became stuck at the end of the lane twice causing the pins to be thrown forward instead of backwards. the staff person that we asked for help was very rude and would not even listen to what we had to say. we complained and the clerk was not terribly helpful either. our experience here was awful. if you have young children avoid this place.

“The customer service here absolutely stinks! They don’t seem to care about your concerns and were very short with us. There is not any room to bowl when they have league nights. They won’t let you in to bowl and they have league night every night exept thursday and sat. I will go to Lenoir to bowl at Bo’s instead. Way more fun there!” -Jason
Jason, i live in boone and go almost every day, sure they have leagues and league nights but its not like you cant go during the day until 7, thats when league starts. I understand your complaint but leagues are huge in bowling in boone, so they have to make room somehow, and with such a small center, its hard to let leagues and other customers bowl at the same time.

Ryan, the date you went to bowl was on a Tuesday. They only stay open that late on Saturdays.

Came by on 8/26 for cosmic bowling to meet a bunch of friends at 12:00 (open til 2:00) to find out you were closed. How can you expect to run a business when you close 2 hours earlier than what is posted on your door? I will make sure to tell all of my friends not to bother with your poorly run location. I will also make sure to file a complaint with your corporate office.
