Been in 2 leagues per year at the Mermaid for the past 6 years. My dad has been a league member since they opened 27 years ago. Although they have done a lot of remodeling/lane changing since, it’s still not as great as it could be. The managment/employees are great. Although that could just be because we’ve been there for so long.

It seems like the owners do not care about the bowling center they have old scoring and old seating. Lots of lane problems, they need someone to step in and put some money and attention into that place, the mermaid has the potential to be one of the best centers in the state if they wanted to!!!

i bowl on a league here as well.
they do a half ass job on the lanes cleaning up befor league’s.
and when you ask them to kindly clean the approaches for they are dirty they give you a bad attitude about it.
for i pay weekly to come here they should take more care and respect for the leagues.

I have brought large groups to this bowling alley on a couple of occassions and found the service efficient and friendly. We have gone other places but the members of the group like the Mermaid because the bowling area is smoke-free.

I live in Eagan, MN but grew up in the north suburbs. I have never at place to be especially feeling safe, the security, just a safe feeling and to have a good time in. If you want to be and think the secuity is going to watch your vehicle and only your prescious item think twice. This establishment did not force you to go there and you have your own private bodyguard. Be responsible, enter at your own risk actually being under a light is a target because persons can see valubles. A need to take a need not to take. I love Mermaids and you all do a great job. Thanks from the citizens of Eagan, MN

Take your valuables out of your car and take responsibility for your own stupidity!!! Blaming will only get you another theft from auto.

The food is good and moderately priced. The lanes are very nicely maintained and up-to-date. The specials, such as unlimited bowling from 9:30-midnight for $9.95, are great. My only complaint is that there is a somewhat limited selection of house balls, but overall it is the best lanes in the area.

After spending several hundred in bowling and bar tabs for a group of 16 people, we left to find that our vehicle, parked near the front door to the bowling alley, under very bright lights, had been broken into. According to the security guard there “has been a rash of break ins” in recent weeks. We contacted the Police promptly. They were kind enough to tell us that it’s impossible to get prints and gave us a card to call and get the police report. In telling the security guard that he should speak with the management and suggest that they do a sting operation with the local police to catch the obvious repeat thiefs, he replied with, “IT’S NOT MY FAULT”. In the two hours that we were bowling, the DJ made several announcements about wrist bands, special dedications, bar closing time etc., but never once let anyone know that we may want to remove all valuables from our cars, or maybe check on them periodically. Something I think the management would want to do as a courtesy to their patrons given they are aware of the issues they’ve had. I’ve tried to contact the management, the office was rudely helpful and offered no sort of apologies. As far as we’re concerned, members of the Mermaid staff are clearly “in” on the thefts in their parking lot. They should be ashamed of their attitudes and poor handling of this situation. My family, friends and co workers all of which are aware of and/or have utilized the Mermaid facility in one way or another will be made aware and strongly suggested to do business elsewhere.

I bowl on a league at the Maid and they charge way more than any other bowling lanes. Also, they do not always clean up the setee area after open bowling and I have heard many people calling it the sand pit.
