Skore Lanes Comments –

My league bowled for many years at Oxford Lanes. At the beginning of the 2011-2012 season we were told by the owner that the building might be torn down to make room for a Volkswagen dealership but wer were GUARANTEED (yes, he used the word GUARANTEED) that Oxford Lanes would remain open for at least the entire 2011-2012 season. He lied. The building was closed on December 31, 2011 and we were forced to move to Skore Lanes. The move has been a disaster! Our lanes are NEVER turned on for us to start on time. The pinsetters and scorers are horrible. We have long delays every week. This week, we had two delays of fifteen minutes each. Management refused to apologize. They said that a fifteen-minute delay is “nothing” and only if we had a half-hour delay would we have a right to complain. Well, two fifteen-minute delays add up to half an hour. On top of that, the pop machines are always out of order so we have to buy “pop” (more ice than pop) from the grill at a higher price. My team and I are looking for a different league for next year, and it sure won’t be at Skore Lanes. |
