Something is not right at Pampa. First our sanction fees were not submitted until February, secondly, on the last night of bowling our house ran league did not have the cash for our team payouts. After some delay we were payed by check. Everything was a mystery as to what had happened and why. At this point they are not to be trusted.

Horrible !!! I visited Pampas on a Saturday night at about 10:30. I was accompanied by my 18 year nephew who was visiting from Western Michigan University. I thought it would be a good place to spend a little family time together. When we got there it was large crowd made of about 8 people in front of us who were receiving service from the attendant. After about 10 minutes, were quickly givec bowling lanes. I thought to myself, well at least the wait wouldn’t be long. But I was wrong, when it was my turn to purchase lanes and rentals shoes I was told that the wait would be 40-45 minutes. I thought that this was insane considering the people in front of us had a wait time of 0 min. After thinking to myself that this may be the last time I get to hang with my nephew for awhile. We decided that we would wait. After looking around for about 20 minutes I realized that there were lanes that appeared to be available judging by the lights and screens being shutdown. I also noticed that the only people that were bowling were of Caucasian decent give or take one or two black guys. I thought this was a little strange so I quickly approached the attendant counter and asked in a very curious manner “why is there a wait time if there appear to be lanes available for use?” The attendant replied by saying “oh all of those lanes were brought out by others”. What other??? no one was bowling on at least 15 of the 80 or so lanes. I then said to the attendant: “excuse me, is this white only bowl?” The attendant and several other employees replied with laughter and in a joking manner said “yeah sure this is an all white bowl even though there are blacks bowling also.” I thought maybe I had missed something so I looked around for the 4 or 5 time to see… to my surprise there was only 1 black guy bowling while 20 or so other blacks were in chairs waiting for lanes. After the joking comment was made, one of the attendants ran off and quickly re-appeared with another attendant of African American decent and told him the question that I had asked (I’m guessing this was to reassure me no funny business was going on). They all seemed to want to share the laughter together. In embarrassment I turned by back and started to walk away when the original attendant that I had spoke with requested I come to the counter. (hell I thought I was going to get asked to leave for the question) but when I walked to the counter the attendant was prepping to assign my nephew and I an open lane. He then said in a joking manner “where would you like to bowl?, you know what. His African American coworker said Ill put you with the rest of your people, lane 35 near the back ha,ha,ha. At this point, I was pretty pissed. But being that we had others on the way to join in on the bowling; we decided to stay and just blow it out on the lanes. I will never again return to this bowling alley, and I will be advising my family, friends and others to do the same. My experience was 2/16/2013 10:40pm

i use to enjoy pampas not anymore i went bowling on a afternoon and they put us in the boondocks but when some other people came and they got lanes up front i dont know if it was the color of my skin or the fact that when i walked in with someone that is gay they had a problem with it, i dont like or appreciate it. they cut my game short i wonder if the other people will get their game cut short this use to be a place i love to go guess i’ll have to find a new bowling alley its sad prejudice still exsist.

First of all the center is very dark and dingy and above several lanes is plastic and buckets on the T.V’s to catch the water so it doesn’t go on the approaches yeah my kinda bowling center NOT. The counter people have attitudes like rocks and where the bowlers sit is very cramped. So to the person who thinks it is bright in there take you sunglasses off and see the real picture. I all so bowled a 300 game there back on Feb. 25 and am I on the Honor Score Board no I am not it must be saved for there BOYS they like. So my suggestion is if at all possible find another center to bowl at. You get what you pay for and it looks like it too.

Best Synthetic Lanes in Michigan. Very affordable prices in the morning hours.

I never had a problem with Pampa’s until I recently visited & I received myy I.d back with a whole punched through. If I gave up my identification to them it was because I trusted it was going to be returned the way it was given. But in thisz scenario it wasn’t.

I hate Pampa. I had just purchased a new black widow and I was bowling on lanes 17&18 and my ball came back and it had huge shave and chip marks all over my new ball. Dont bowl there.

I wish I was writing a nice comment but I can not at this time.On April 18th I bowled my first ever 300 game and as you may know after you bowl a 300 you fill something out and your Sec. of your league signs it and mails it in and the next week your name is in the paper and about 3 weeks you get your ring.well Pampa lanes is the Sec./Tres. of our league and they droped the ball they never mailed my paper in and I had to call the USBC”GDBA” and take care of this myself and YES we do pay them to do the Sec. work. Also im the Pres. of our league and I get a letter in the mail last week that our year end Avg. have never been turned in and if they do not get them in our avg. will not be entered in the year book and you know those are important for tourneys. And I wish I was done but One more thing. If your bowl a 300 at Pampa Lanes they give you a 300 Jacket they told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks to come in well I stoped in today and they told me it would be 2 more weeks.P.S this Comment does not reflect on most of the workers at Pampa Lanes because MOST of them do a GREAT job “ED” “Brian” and ect… but whoever is messing this up please do not let this happen again.

We bowled on a Vegas league one summer at the center. It was a fun time for sure! The center is very clean, bright, and has friendly people working there. The Rock N Bowl is a great time too, you should go sometime!
