Ladies and gentleman, Bowl One lanes has switched to the darkside and gone synthetic, i have no problems with the management, and i love Fred the pro shop owner, great guy, and long time family friend.

I used to bowl in the Youth Leagues back in the 90’s. I have to agree that the management does seem a little less friendly. I’m bowling at Pampa Lanes now in one of their serious money leagues. I have to say though, that the guys in the pro shop at Bowl One are very laid back and very friendly. It was a pleasure to get a new ball from them.

I’m in this center at least 5 times a week with family and/or friends. The new manager gives a harsh first impression. She never cracks a smile, and she spends more time talking down to her employees than she does helping customers. The last manager did a much better job at pleasing customers, and I’m not sure they are going to gain any more business with this new gal. I’ve noticed the employees are less friendly now -to the customers and each other,- always serious incase the management is around to scold them. I think the owners need to rethink the decisions they are making.

I liked the last guy too, but they canned him. Who knows why. They finally had a manager that was good with customers. Doesn’t seem they like to keep any manager longer than 6 months like was mentioned below. New woman won’t talk to me either, and she’s never in past 5 o’clock when the leagues are there. After 5, it’s then on to the assistant guy that won’t talk to me.
Staff is nice, but lately less friendly.
Atleast the lanes are easy.

I agree with Shawn, but I also agree with AMFBOWLER. It was a bowler’s dream to enter into Bowl One Lanes as a league bowler. Community Bowling Centers took it over and wanted to make it a huge open bowling place – Mr. Voight and his staff don’t believe in the traditional leagues anymore. They’re all about the open bowler and the short season no-money clubs. Woo hoo – I get a frickin’ pizza party when I’m done bowling for 12 weeks. I’m so excited.
Bowl One started to come back, but when you go through as many managers as they do, it’s hard to establish a rapport with the bowlers. I really liked the last guy, but I haven’t seen him in a while. Now there’s some woman that won’t talk to me. She seems to busy with telling the staff what to do rather than getting to know her customers.
Thank you for listening.

Bowl One Lanes has come up a long way they have really good lanes the lanes are wooden lanes not the plastic lanes like alot of other lanes out there and the leagues are building back up.

I used to love this place. When it was owned by Ron it was a true bowler’s paradise. Then it was bought by a bowling corporation. The place can’t keep a manager for more than 6 months. It has lost all of its identity. A lot of leagues have left this center. They couldn’t even keep the 400+ kids Saturday youth leagues in the place, they moved to Sunnybrook Lanes. During open bowling, the place is almost as quiet as a morgue.
