Honestly, this house could use another 12 to 20 lanes. Improvements in the management of the lane/house conditions has upped the demand to be here. HopefulIy, the owner can come up with a design where part of the house can be closed off if not needed in the Summer to cut A/C costs, but be available when needed during leagues and tournaments.
I know Illinois State Youth Leaders has mentioned that despite of or because of good location and being well run that ISYL may have to look for a bigger house (or schedule Pioneer Lanes during the Illinois High School Season) since ISYL has been sold out the last couple of years and this year had to turn away 20 “walk-ons” at August 15th event . I just hope that the “bigger house” ISYL can find can layout a true sport shot. The secret of laying out a good true sport shot is that the lanes have to be clean, clean, clean, before laying out the shot. Pioneer has seemed to learn that. Some houses haven’t or don’t care to learn. |

This house has recently gotten much better. For a while bowlers complained of oil puddling in spots. If there is a big crowd the air conditioning has a hard time keeping up with humidity at times. Management has gotten smarter and much more creative with leagues, etc. |

This center’s owner has a lot of faith in his employees and lets them do their jobs accordingly. They are the most versatile employees I’ve seen in my 26 years involved in bowling. Especially a lady named Karen who works with the youth group. |

Nice place but lanes are not maintained as well as they should. Prices sorta high. |
