We went to Emerald Lanes on Saturday for a kids birthday party. The staff at the frontdesk were very acommedating and patient as well as helpful in letting us have thier birthday party area so we would have more room. However, thestaff that Emerald Lanes has in thier cafe-bar area could learn a few things about customer service. Emerald Lanes also needs to work on being more family friendly. You can buy a pitcher of beer here but you can not get a pitcher of water or soda for your kids. Whats up with that. Cafe personel need some sutomer service friendly lessons.

The best place in town to go. We use the coupons on their site all the time. Go check it out for yourself!

I went there on Fathers day with my son.. It was a Ghost town. There might have been 3 or 4 lanes in use on a sunday. I asked if they had a fathers day special. They guy was kinda rude, texting and talking to me at the same time. No specials on fathers day.. Would def help business. I think they need new management and staff. I could make that place gold. Appeal to peoples pocket books. No discount for my 4 year old son. $13 for 1 game each.. VERY INFLATED!!! Happy Fathers Day

I for one, love to bowl at Emerald Lanes and always reccommend it to everyone I know. I love the set up the lights, the lanes it’s awesome! I will admit that they are pricier than the rest, but it’s a much better place to bowl at. =) I don’t think the staff is rude, true they aren’t overwhelmingly nice, but not rude.

I found the staff to be friendly. There was an hour wait for lanes, but we played pool to pass the time. Once we started cosmic bowling we had a blast. I think this is the best place in town to go comic bowling.

Six of us played Cosmic Bowling on 1/21/2011 and had a good time. We just wondered why we had to watch such sexualized videos the whole time we were there.

Extremely Rude! Emerald is not a family friendly place. We tried to have a Birthday party. They wouldn’t let us bring a cake in. I’ve Never been been to a bowling alley where they wouldn’t let us have a Birthday party. Very rude on the phone too. they lost out on 150 bucks. Their loss not ours. Go to westy’s its way better!

Emerald is a little pricey, but the lanes are always in good shape. I will agree than the staff does not seem overly friendly, but they aren’t mean or overly rude. Overall, best bowling lanes in Lane County.

The atmosphere is clean but it did feel little crowded. The staff were pleasant. The biggest draw back is the price. It cost our family of four $25 for one game. Seems a bit much to me.

I went there for my company Christmas party this past Friday night and we all had a great time. I hadn’t been bowling for a few years and forgot how much fun it was. They had glow in the dark bowling which made a fun, energetic party atmosphere. I will definitely be back again!

My son and I just went and it cost us $25 for 3 games and shoe rental. A little spendy!

We went last year & booked three lanes for a pre-anime convention cosplay bowling party of 20 on a Wednesday night. It seemed pretty good fun & reasonably priced too. I seem to recall the cost was $6 plus the food and drinks we bought. We are going back there this year with double the numbers…^_^

The positive “it was awesome” comments are from the management. The other comments are the real expiriences from customers. Don’t spend your money here.

Has anyone else noticed that all the negative comments on this page seem to be written by 4th graders? Come on people! At least learn how to spell correctly! Perhaps try to take a few grammar lessons??

I was just there last saturday with two of my very good friends, out for a night without children… We very much enjoyed the Huge screens, Loud Music, and Service that we received. We especially liked the way that the guy who was serving beer smiled at us every time he took our order.. And yes, we did go back and order….. If he is single will you let us know…

We just had an awesome time last weekend during Cosmic Bowling. This was my first visit here and I will definatly be back. There were huge 10×10 projection screens down by the lanes playing music videos, all done by request. The place was packed, there was about an hour wait but it was well worth it. Good food, cold beer, great night out!

Comment Date: 2/10/2008 Name: I will never come back to this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t Waste Your time or Money. To over priced for the unfriendly service I received. They are rude.
I’ve bowled from Sunset Lanes in Ontario, OR to Cherry Bowl Inc in Emmet, ID. I’ve bowled once at Emerald Lanes and after tonight I know why I didn’t and never will return. The wait time they quoted was off by 1 hour. The service was horrible at the food court area. Not even 1 word of acknowledgment while they over looked me continuously. I wanted a pitcher of water and they refused to sell me water with out a reason why they can’t. The manager Eddie states that they only sell beer in pitchers. I can take a no but can I received an explanation to why? That’s great customer service if you can explain why. Then we had bowlers on our left dance with a little 4-5 yr old girl on the platform before you reach the lanes. They were even in front of our lane before we bowled. We complained to them and management. The little girl could have been hit by a ball going fwd or backward. The management didn’t stop them or even threaten to throw them out. They just continued to dance. They didn’t even leave the platform after the management spoke to them. The place has been renovated and is not priced accordingly with cheap rude help that was there. I want my money back! I’m sorry if this is to out of line but does the cafe help have there green cards? Better Business Bureau is my next complaint and A news station. People don’t go. You’ll have better service from a 25 cent lemonade stand.

I would have to agree with some of the other comments made. The owner has done a pretty decent job of cleaning this place up. The lanes are fairly nice, and the atmosphere is good. However, the seating is a bit cramped, the service was good at the front counter but not som much in the cafe area, and the prices were quite high…for six people to bowl three games each with shoe rentals cost me 75 bucks…hard to have a good family day out when you have to worry about the end result like that.

this is the worst place that i have ever been. i got cussed at by an employee, servise was terrible, the prices were rediculous, and it just s*cked. and when i went in one of the employees was making crude jokes about gay people. yea maybe they are against it, but when they are in a work enviroment they shouldn’t make comments like that. it can really offend people and now i have told all of my gay friends to not go there and none of their family members and close friends go their either so hopefully they will lose buisness and have to close. emerald lanes you guys s*ck.

I went to emerald lanes this past weekend for cosmic bowling, it was AWSOME! I guess they just got done remodeling the bar and they added some sorta of huge projector screens, its a pretty cool experience

After this trip to Emerald lanes I hope that no one will go there nor experience what we did. Not only is their service the WORST. A female employee called a customer a “jackAS$” and the owner did nothing but role his eyes and asked the people whom the waitress called a jackass to leave. What kind of business owner would allow that to happen to a customer? They were very prejudice. People need to know the service that Emerald Lanes really provides. After a call to the owner he hung up on me and said our behavior was bad. This owner must be in denial…. I wonder how he would have handled it if he was called a jackass! Whether this gets posted or not rest assured that I will let everyone I know about this experience and make sure to keep it going. Boise has much better bowling centers and this one does not even represent boise in any way.

After bowling at all of Boise’s bowling centers, this place lived up to their slogan “The Best Alley In The Valley”. Everything is new and clean. The staff is friendly and their cosmic bowling is twice the show of any of their competitors. This place ROCKS!!!

I came to the cosmic bowling and had the best time I ever had at a bowling alley. The light show was incredible and you can even make your own music requests. It was awesome.

Within the past year they installed new lanes – wow what a positive difference! We don’t like the seating arrangments at the lanes – too crowded and therefore, uncomfortable. We like the party lights, good music and decor. The beer and bowling prices are too high – I think they’re the highest in the valley. We don’t bowl there much because of the prices.
