This bowling alley is great. This place doesn’t just have bowling they have laser tag, mini golf, go-kart etc. It is versatile. The food price could go down a little bit more.

Love going to this place. They just opened up a new billiards room called back alley billiards with a bunch of pool tables. Place is awesome!

This is my LAST season bowling in a league here. EVERY summer since Fun Bowl has opened the A/C seems to be broken. It stinks bowling in a hot stuffy atmosphere. Looking forward to bowling in the Fall at a cleaner/nicer center. There is obviously no money spent on keeping this place up or “fresh”. Peace

As a league bowler at this bowling alley I think that things are pretty good here. I know the staff personally and they can be rude I understand that but most of the time they are very kind and willing to help. The food is overpriced but Mrs. Pat does a very good job of fixing it and I always enjoy being there. Come on people, you need to give these people a second chance and maybe start out being nice to them first. Try that and see where that gets ya.

I go to Fun Bowl about twice a week, on Monday and Sunday when it doesn’t cost a lot to bowl, I would go more but on other nights it costs a ton to bowl a game and there are way too many local teenagers loitering and somewhat verbally harassing the paying customers as they walk by and the staff does nothing about it, the kids just stand in groups smoking and starting verbal fights with other groups of teens which sometimes turn into more. So the price really isn’t worth going on a normal night because you don’t usually get what you pay for and the employees are just awfully rude. I don’t recommend bringing small children to this bowling alley on the regular business nights, young ears don’t need to hear the kinds of things the loitering people are yelling out.

It is a bit pricey, but everything is now a days and the fact that there suppossedly is not ‘southern hospitality’ go in there on a Friday or Saturday night around ten and try to have a good mannerism while trying to avoid people who only came there to socialize. Even if the managing has something to do with a lack of respect, when the place is crammed with people in every direction, the main focus is not to give people the satisfaction of being ‘pleased and touched;, but rather to do their job effectively; which is one thing they do. If you want outstanding service, go during the day on a weekday when the crowds are sparse.

It would be a great idea to be able to reserve a lane for a specific date and time. Require a credit card, pre-paid…something so that families can plan an event. Not hope that ‘first come, first serve’ will work in their favor. Require they be there early, or explain to them that they may have to wait a few extra minutes if the lane is not ready exactally when it is reserved. I think a lot of people will appriciate being able to reserve a lane!

Comment Date: 3/13/2008 Name: Paige
It would be very helpful to be able to make reservations for alley’s. I understand the concern that people might not show up but require a credit card or something with a minimal deposit or give up the alley if no one is there at the time it’s reserved for. It’s pretty simple. But after reading the other comments made I’m not so sure I even want to give this place my business as I expect good customer service if I am going to spend my hard earned money there.

So this place would be fun if there werent rude employees. I feel that rude employees make the atmosphere terrible. These people need a goo talking to and if the tokens are worthless then maybe they should be taken out of the game area so people dont get confused. Come on people use your head…no token games…take the tokens out. This is ridicolous. The bowling is fun. Thats it.

Comment Date: 7/19/2007 Name: amanda
The bowling ally itself was fantastic. but when i went in the game room the card system and the token system was a bad idea i lost 20$ in token that i didnt even want. it was hoarriable!! advice get rid of the whole cards and all that it is not good for your buisness take a look around you customers dont like it!!!

I have to agree with Michelle’s comment on this one. The service is really bad. I was babysitting my friend’s brother, and he about cried when he found out that he just spent his hard-earned allowance money on some stupid tokens that he couldn’t even use! I was so mad! I guess it’s the only place to go for bowling and arcade games in McDonough, so make sure you are in a REALLY good mood before you go there.

Comment Date: 7/12/2007 Name: Bestfriend
I think that the bowling alley is a fun place. You have many attractions to choose from but what I could suggest is that you redo the lazer tag arena and make it more fun. That arena has been that way ever since you first started and I think it needs something mew since you remodeled the arcade. Please take in to consideration but overall I give funbowl a 10 for the best spot in Henry county!!!!

Southern hospitality? Are you sure you didn’t mean southern hostility? They now hav esome card system where you have to BUY a card to use the games and then you put money on them. When I asked how to use them because my 5 year old wanted to use the money he earned. What she told me to do is put money on the card and then swipe it for the tokens after he swiped the card and received the tokens we discovered you use the card to swipe to use the games. The tokens were useless! They wouldn’t put the money back on the card so my child basically gave them his money and received 4 worthless tokens for 1.50. When I mentioned this the girl just rolled her eyes as if to say who cares? I will never go back. These southerens are the ruddest, most disrespectful and dishonest group of people I have ever met! 10-18 years ago I could of taken her by the ear and smacked her and no one would had said a word to me because she deserved it! Now I have to accept that they stole money from my son and I can do nothing about it. Way to go America!

Fun Bowl of Henry County is a great place. The have all new state-of-the art Brunswick equipment. They also have laser tag, an arcade, pro shop, and mini golf.

As a northerner visiting the south I was very surprise at the lack of good service, where was the southern hospitality if anything. It all beings with “management” it’s the foundation of disgruntle or loyal employees. As a business owner myself a Family/Team atmosphere is my foundation. I and (My mangers/supervisors) shake each and every employee hand with a “Thank You” while giving there check. If it’s the end of the day and we are leaving I shake there hand and say “Thank you” or “How is your day going” I really want to know what’s going on with my business that I am putting in there hands. Suggestion implement an employees anonymous survey (working there,commutation,facility,customers,sup/magr, hours, lunch/breaks, everything that deal the business) from your employees, implement a free lunch only if everyone participate.

Bad news

Comment Date: 3/6/2007 Name: my name?
The staff at Henry County Fun Bowl and the Fun Town (out side of the alley) do not seem to care about the costomers because they really don’t. The problem starts from the inside of the company. The management is bad. Therefore the employees are slack. If the management was a little more “professional”, then the bowling alley and the fun town would be a better place to spend money. What I mean by professional is: communication amongst the people in charge and the employees, leaders who have integrity, employee evaluation, a work scedule made 2 weeks prior to work, limit the amount of breaks taken per shift, finding ways to attract costomers (ex. giving the fans what they want, new attractions for the kids), and friendly service to encourage the spendage of moola. Also, the place is not very sanitary. So, the 5 second rule is not one to use here. But other than that, if you like to bowl, it is a good place to bowl.

I think that the empolyment is rude and do not care about the people and that the service is very bad. Other than that everything is fine.

Comment Date: 1/5/2007 Name: Anonymous
I find that the employees lack character from a cutomer’s perspective. Other than that I enjoy frequenting the bowling center. The shot is a good one and the overall atmosphere is enjoyable. The early afternoons on the weekends appear to be very much geared toward kids and family while the nights are for everyone else.

Dear last post commenter (if that’s a word), i think you are actually supposed to go to the bowling alley, then rate your experiences. A picture would not help you rate the cost, or overall value, but going would help all together.

How do these bowling centers expect anyone to give them a rating on their center if they do not submit pictures. Asking for a rating without pictures is like a politician looking for high ratings and he has done nothing while in office. Get the picture.
