Popular league, friendly staff, great discounts.
Facility is out of date but lanes are well kept and the choice of lanes in the area.

I have been bowling at saint Lucie lanes consistently since 2006. I have belonged to 3 different leagues, and also love to come in for open bowling. The lanes are always kept up beautifully, and if there is a mechanical problem, it is always taken care of as quickly and efficiently as possible. And if for any reason something is not a quick fix, they are happy to move you if possible, and if not, they always try to compensate you in some way, i.e.; free drinks, appetizers, or free games. Their pricing is really affordable, even for those not on a league. They are family friendly, and the real family friendly, not just for parents who wanna dump their child on a lane and hightail it to the bar… For 30$ and change, you get an hour of bowling, drinks, large pizza, and shoes, for up to 6 people… That’s really affordable… The employees are really personable, and do their best to accommodate you. However, if are just being an ignorant A** they won’t let you take advantage of them. All in all, its a great place to bowl…

I frequent this establishment during the day, usually on Monday afternoons. And there isn’t a visit where I don’t spend at least 5 to 10 minutes at the counter. Most of the time when I approach the desk no one is there and when one of the two
women working does arrive, they are very slow. This isn’t going to stop me from visiting but I’m sure not everyone is as patient as myself. I just found this site and thought I would share my experiences. For the most part I enjoy going Saint Lucie Lanes, I would just like for my wait at the counter to be a little shorter.

This place is HOT! And I don’t mean in a good way. I have been bowling at Saint Lucie Lanes for several years now and to be honest it has alwasy been warm but lately it has been borderline miserable. I know bowling is a sport but you really shouldn’t be uncomfortable when you do it.

When I bowled there on June 7, 2009 in the Youth State leaqgue. I had a horrible experience. My mom is disabled and we got there late and there was no extra chairs except for the ones where the bowlers had to sit and put theyre equipment. my mom had to stand half of the time until someone finally saw her standing and in pain and got her a chair from the back. I stepped in something in my bowling shoes and I went up to the front desk and asked for the brush. The lady behind the counter basically threw the brush at me. I almost gave her the finger because all I did was go up there and ask her for the brush to scrap the stuff off of my shoe. I layed back on the desk and she made the remark of “Thats not where it goes” she said rudley. I just kept walking. What was I supposed to do, walk behind the counter and put it away? No! My team was bowling against the team from Cypress lanes and we had to call the officals over at leat 6 times because they had no lane curdisy. All the officals did was give them warnings. And when we got revenge we almost got disqualified. The food and drinks are wayyy to over priced. I think for tournaments now the West Palm Beach Squad from Verdes Tropicana Bowl are going to have ignore other youth bowlers from rival bowling alleys

It is a shame to hear that this place can no longer afford their bills and will be closing their doors within the next year. Christine should sell Jupiter and put the money into St Lucie Lanes!

I have bowled at all the alleys in the area. This place overall is the best. Great specials make it affordable. They acually take care of the lanes, yeah certain times of the week they are dry, but, dry is better compared to the slick willy lanes of superplay. Its rumored that superplay uses castrol GTX. St. Lucie Lanes isnt going to be a flashy place to bowl, But I prefer not to bowl around a bunch of candy s*cking little brats anyway, like superplay. St. Lucie Lanes is a bowlers place. If you want to have a good time, and trash a bowling alley with your stinkin brats, then go to superplay. If you want to practice your game, or bowl with your friends in a safe environment without worrying about twisting your knee because of the sticky approaches at superplay, then please go bowling at st. lucie lanes, best place to bowl.

I bowl on a league at Superplay and enjoy it very much. However, I noticed that the establishment feels too corporate and cold and the constant inconsistency in lane conditions was starting to drive me crazy. I decided to check out St. Lucie Lanes. At first glance you feel like your stepping into a time warp. The rugs, walls, decor and alleys feels like its straight out of the 80’s. It even smells old. But… The lanes are taken care of pretty well, they are on the dry side but they are consistently dry. The machines are faster and the pins are solid. The approach needs work as it looks like 30 years of bowling with no upkeep! despite that I enjoy bowling at this house. I especially like the the discounts and specials they run. Any one who has bowled recently can attest, the prices are HIGH. 4.25 per game per person plus shoes. for a family of 5 with drinks thats 21.25 per game plus shoes at 16.25 and drinks at 14.75 that’s 52.25 and that only for ONE game!!! so discounts are great! Unfortunately this is where my review goes south!! I have bowled about 2 times a week at St. Lucie Lanes for the past 3 weeks after being informed that after 9pm Monday through Thursday they had 4.99 per hour bowling. So we head up there and rent two lanes for two hours and have a blast. At the end of the night a nice young women informed us that this special starts at 7pm on Sundays. So the following Sunday at 7pm I return and take advantage of the 4.99 special. Several times after I bowled after 9pm and again on Sunday at 7pm. This evening (12-21-08) I entered the alley at 7:00 with 3 others to bowl for a few hours and take advantage of the Sunday special. Sundays are great for bowling at St. Lucie lanes because after 7pm there rarely is more then 10 people bowling. We approached the counter where there was 3 people standing around. The “night” manager a tall scrawny looking man with dark messy hair and two women. we asked for the Sunday special and we were promptly denied saying that it was not until 9pm. I objected and stated that we have received the special starting at 7pm on Sunday two previous times. at this point I was a little frustrated at the inconsistent pricing, and flip flopping staff. Almost immediately the “night” manager steps in with a enormous attitude and starts telling me that these specials have been like this, then he tells me that they change every month. First off, you never speak to a customer like this; and second with not more then 10 people in the house you NEVER turn away business. At this point my friend interjects and tells the manager he needs to calm down and not to talk to me like that. The manager immediately picks up the phone and calls the police!!!!!! he then turns to me and starts to raise his voice telling me that I ALWAYS come in and bitch about the prices and swear at the mechanics when the machines malfunction. I was outraged that a manager of all people would stand there and accuse someone. I am applled at the behavior of the staff and especially the manager. I wasn’t that trown off by his behavior considering he looks as if he has a problem with getting anyone to ackowledge his minute amount of authority. However, the one thing that completely surprised me was how quickly after we raised concern about the pricing that he suggested we go to Super Play, there rival that is driving them into the ground- The “competition”! Its no wonder why St. Lucie Lanes is DEAD on a Sunday night during Christmas break. They have hit the trifecta! Bad marketing, Bad customer service and Bad Upkeep of the facility. In my opinion if they don’t take drastic measures they will be forced to close there doors sending there ten causal sunday bowlers and there large leauge crowd to the coorporate giant accross town. just before leaving to go to superplay (as suggested) I asked for the owners name and contact info. He quickly told me her name and told me that I would not be able to talk to her outside of a letter. Suffice to say I will be speaking to his supervisor and expressing my disgust! I do not want an apology. I just do not EVER want that sad excuse for a manager talking to me again.

It sounds like the last 2 people to comment have stocks in Superplay lanes. I agree it’s new and looks pretty but that’s a far as i will go. If you like waiting in line, feeling like a sardine, bowling with ear plugs. Then have at it. Superplay to me is just like another fast food joint but in Bowling. I’ll stick with a real Bowling ally like Saint Lucie Lanes. After all I’m going to a Bowling ally to Bowl not play Laser Tag.

This Place is a dump,If you need a shower stand on lane 48,Roof still leaks,i don’t think they know what lane oil is either,On Sunday Mornings The Lanes are drier than the Mohave Desert,I guess having 50 cameras in the building is more important,Several Employees there also need an attitude adjustment,Inside of the building still looks like 1978,I would rather bowl at the center in saint lucie west, at least it’s more modern there and friendlier also

I have been bowling at st. lucie lanes for about 4 years now and i have never seen a bowling alley in a worse condition. I have been bowling for 16 years now and that place is terrible if you want to bowl in a real bowling alley go to superplay USA you know the place where all st. lucie lanes leagues has been going to. The PBA has been going to superplay the past 2 years and it will be a third next year because st. lucie lack. The reason for st. lucie being so bad where can i start. The last time I bowled the approach cut the bottom of my bowling shoe because a board was missing, the approaches are always dirty, Then they took out the bowling circle Christine and Doug how stupid can u get talk about a mess try bowling when people spill drinks and food in the circle because there is no other place to eat. Then the prices there is no wonder why you tried to sell to superplay its because you cant compete with their prices why go pay 3 dollars a game when i can pay 1 dollar over at Superplay. St. luice still has leaking roofs bc {deleted}. Even John Lugo was tring to get a job at superplay. So in all this u want a good fun place to bowl and for family fun go to superplay usa where it is cheaper and you and your family can play in the batting cages, lazer tag, and Mini Golf

Visited St.Lucie Lanes on a Thursday night after a very helpful phone call to the front desk on directions..
I found that the people were friendly, the help was friendly & the facilities were clean.
As an X Brunswick A-2 mechanic & completive bowler, I appreciated the sound of solid pin impact..(no broken or cracked pins) pm

Although an aging lady, Saint Lucie Lanes maintains its integrity as a Class A bowling center by providing exemplary service in a clean, well run and fun environment. The food court is spotless and prices very reasonable with lots of specials, especially for us seniors. The lanes are kept clean and Don, the mechanic, comes to visit with the bowlers and get their opinions whenever sees us regular bowlers. Keep up the good work!
