christine yuo have great mechanic who will ask you how are the lanes if you tell him something is wrong he checks it out the staff is great. the ones that complain you can count them on your finger. there are four crybabies they should leave if they do not like they would not be missed they think who the hell they got a great place its the best house in palm beach county.

Jupiter lanes is a extremely nice center the food is great and for the most part the staff is pretty personable. I have been bowling there for quiet a while and have noticed a few new faces. The food court staff is always friendly and so are most bartenders. Its nice seeing Beth back after she has been gone for a little while always very pleasant to me,Anish is one of the best chefs I have come across and the new bartender Judy seems to know what she’s doing extremely well very nice lady.Keep up the good work staff. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is why hire someone back that stole probably thousands from you and then make them a manager? Overall I’m happy with the place.

Comment Date: 7/24/2011 Name: 300 bowler
jupiter seems to be changing faces too many times again. why not pay employees better wages and maybe we wouldn’t have to see all the new faces that don’t know bowling from a hole in the ground. get with it christine!!

This bowling alley is very disappointment they rather put money into the arcade and bowling program but they can’t put money into a new airconditioner. It so hot in there that you leave soaking wet and the lane condition change because it’s so happy. Thats why I bowl at Verdes now it’s cold there!!!

Bowling was once a great sport now it is filled with cry babys. If you join a league here make sure it is the right one. Other wise idiots ruin the sport with their whining

I am very impressed with the changes made to the center in recent months. Most staff really seem to care for the buisness again. The HUGE projection screens and the new scoring and all 60 flat panel monitors are very nice. The New second row of fans cool the center like you wouldnt belive. i know bowling is a sport but before we were sweating . You can count on me joining a summer league here this year. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR IMPROVEMENTS!

I took my family to jupiter lanes for a fundraiser back in 2010. Everything was fantastic! The food wasnt your run of the mill bowling alley food. The employees informed me that this food was preped and made by a 5 star chef! I had to meet this guy. Anish was his name he was very modest yet very wize. Im glad i had the chance to visit jupiter lanes the experience will last a life time. Just saying thanks

This center has improved drasticaly these past few months. Keep the progress

Comment Date: 4/19/2011 Name: Anonymous
I visit Jupiter Lanes on almost a daily basis, and some things changed, but others still remain the same. The new renovations with the screens and lanes are fantastic. The management is way better then it use to be. The managers are knowledgeable about the center and are always trying to fix the problems. However, the head mechanic is still lazy, does he do anything to improve the center. As for the bar, specials need to be specials. Food wise, as a league bowler, I ask who is in the kitchen before I order my meal. As the Porters go, they are unknowledgeable about anything that is going on in that center. They just stand around and do nothing. Doug, you are never there long enough to address these problems with any customer so read this.

You haven’t heard from me since late 2008, but the bowling center still hasn’t changed. The NBA league was told before the 2009/2010 season bu Scott Griggs that the AC would be turned on earlier before the league started and it would be cooler for the bowlers. That lasted about 6 weeks and went back to the way it always. Thats a shame you have to go bowling and have to bring a fan. Then the fans that you have in the there work half of the time. You should not tell bowlers one thing just to get them in the door and turn around and go back to your old ways.

Comment Date: 4/25/2010 Name: Never Again
Just a note to say that the leagues are ran for the high average bowlers, handicap leagues should be equal, 80 or 90% from 220 is BS. I don’t believe a team with a team average below the top five have ever won a league in this center. I bowl for enjoyment but will not participate in a league where we lower bowlers pay for the higher average bowlers get 75% of the prize fund. S*CKS!!!!!

Hey League Man, you’re right, the shot is easy at Jupiter Lanes but I never hear complaints about the shot. The number one complaint is the heat, which is still not being addressed. Mechanically, the lanes are still constantly breaking down and I see the head mechanic in the front of the house more than in the back. It’s sad that such a beautiful house is in such disarray. Well, at least Patricia is back in New York.

Comment Date: 7/8/2009 Name: League man
Personally I love Jupiter Lanes. All of you league bowlers that complain must not be able to adjust which is all part of the game.In a place where the shot is so easy you shouldnt have to adjust.Jupiter Lanes is one of the best houses in the area.Thank god for the buckets!!!!!!!

damn it christine!! i am sick and tired of patricia telling me and my friends that in order to have a nice place to bowl and have fun at, we have to bay for it!!!!! i thought buy using any facility that we the people pay for to get in and injoy one`s self, is paying for it!! am i right or am i wrong!! christine, at one time i liked you. but i`m affraid patricia has ruined your business. the management is right in the gutter! the only person that gives a damn is bob. every one who works there smells like a brewery. the lanes are terrible. everything is sticky from the feet to the hands. it is nasty! and one more thing, who does that so called mechanic think he is? he told me to go to hell because i questioned him about the bowling machines. damn christine, please fix that place or i will be forced to take my money and all of my friends some place else….sincerly mr greg goldberg

christine, what in the h### is going on at jupiter lanes. its so hot in there and the managment is terrible!! you, at one time cared about the place. i try and talk to patricia about these issues and she is just mocking me. i pay good money to bowl there and i feel totally disrespected!! that mechanic you have is also useless! all he does is walk around with his head up his a## like he knows what he`s doing. please, christine, will you fix these problems? i think your going to lose alot of business.. sincerly…..mike jacobs

Comment Date: 9/29/2008 Name: Mr. Dejected
Christine, what has happened to you? You really used to care about Jupiter Lanes. It is so hot at Jupiter Lanes it takes the fun out of bowling. I bowl in 2 leagues a week and I have never seen the lanes in such bad shape mechanically. It is a rare night when teams don’t have to change lanes due to breakdowns. The present management is terrible with the worst being ,by far, Patricia. When asked at a recent league meeting why it was so hot at Jupiter Lanes her response was “Do you want to pay the electric bill?” Patricia, I thought by bowling at Jupiter Lanes, we did pay the electric bill. Customer service is practically nonexistent and there was a time when Christine cared about customer service. Bob is the only manager that seems to care and I haven’t seen him at night in a long time.

Comment Date: 9/7/2008 Name: not happy
I want to say I agree with the people earlier about the AC and the management. There is nothing but kids running the place and try telling one of them it’s hot in there and they bite your head off. Whoever the two skinny kids (so called managers) are need to go take a managements coarse or hospitality coarse somewhere. And are you turning it into a night club or can we still expect it to remain a bowling alley?

Comment Date: 9/5/2008 Name: respond to mr consistency
Yeah all houses arent the same but when it comes down to safety issues like sticky lanes then there is a problem. If u want to call me a wanna be talk to my 210 average i bowled there in a tournament and the approaches were terrible i averaged over 200 there but it was terrible

Comment Date: 9/5/2008 Name: Mr. everything
Well we still have the same old problems. I bowled on Tuesday night and the A/C of course must have been on heat instead of cool, warm as usual. The lanes down from us broke down they had to move. Our lanes resetted the pins a few times, told the manager on duty and of course she didn’t have a clue. Need to get some experince employees in there that know what they are doing.

Comment Date: 8/16/2008 Name: mr. consistency
i’m sick and tired of hear all these wanna be bowlers complaining about the lane conditions at Jupiter. People it’s called ADJUSTING !!!! Try it out sometime it may help. If your a serious bowler you know that not every house has the same shot thus you need to adjust. Quit the bitchin and try practicing or changing your ball surface.

I just want to say that the way things are run at this bowling alley are the worst I have EVER seen . People getting yelled at all the time by that red headed little lady . You get rid of good people who know what they are doing and replace them with people who don’t know what they are doing. I can’t believe you let kids run this place . The place is really go down hill and we can’t wait until the new alley opens . You guys don’t know how to treat anybody .

I haven’t seen her . We miss her and would like to see her back on sunday nights …We stopped coming in on Friday nights because you took her off for the tourment you guys were having .

I agree with the others who have said that the alley is too hot. I bowl in a league during the week and it’s always warm. I agree that the approaches can be sticky at times. A good industrial cleaning would help. Also, carpeting all the way up to the approach is not a great idea. {Deleted inappropriate comments} The staff is great now .
We come bowling a few times a week and i’m happy to hear and see a few people gone. {Deleted inappropriate comments} I’m sorry to hear John the manger is leaving he is a great guy.

Turn the damn A/C on!!. How about oiling the lanes so you don feel like your in a different house everytime you go there. Sticky approaches, ALWAYS. Someone is going to hurt themselves one day. Why does the whole staff smell like they were drinking. Hey owner, “Get a grip on your buisness.” Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens needs a new house so we can all enjoy bowling as it should be. May clean the approaches sometime. Does the mechanic do anything but walk around? Get to work people!! The place needs to be over-hauled. Maybe just a good cleaning will do. People are feed up with the place.

Comment Date: 2/26/2008 Name: League Bowler
I agree with the others who have said that the alley is too hot. I bowl in a league during the week and it’s always warm. While the ceiling fans help a little, the temperature isn’t cool when we start bowling in the morning. And as everyone gets warmed up from playing, it gets even warmer. I agree that the approaches can be sticky at times. A good industrial cleaning would help. Also, carpeting all the way up to the approach is not a great idea. It looks good, but it harbors spills, food, and heaven knows what else. Having to walk in that is not a good thing when you’re getting ready to bowl. A couple of times I’ve found french fries ground into the carpet around the tables. Guess what – our feet are there and it’s not healthy or safe for food to be in the carpet. It would be easier to clean up spills as well if there were a different type of flooring around the tables. Another suggestion – blower dryers in the bathroom. When it’s warm in the alley, it takes forever to dry your hands and then you’re still damp when you go to bowl – lots of times the ball sticks to your hand/fingers because it’s so warm and your hand hasn’t had the chance to dry off. The blowers on the ball returns are okay, but if they blew a little bit harder, it would help, too. Overall, I like coming here better than going to Verdes – they have a smaller house and the lane conditions are really variable – you never know what kind of oil you’re going to get. Also, the lower ceiling there makes me feel like I”m in a cave – I much prefer Jupiter’s house!

Comment Date: 2/10/2008 Name: Hap
Bowled last week and almost had to quit due to sticky approaches. This was due to the a/c not being on before bowling started. Not real fond of the carpet all the way up to the ball returns. What were you thinking. Must not be a bowler who did the design. Do you realize all the spills we walk through on the carpets and can not even see. I hope the next time I bowl there, you have the a/c on well before bowling starts. My knee and hip still hurt.

Comment Date: 1/18/2008 Name: jay
as an x owner of a bowling center i can tell you that one of your problems is the cause of your sticky approaches. a.c. and heat also control humidity in a bowling center, which has a great effect on lane and approach conditions.

Comment Date: 1/2/2008 Name: Doug
I had a good experience there considering it was my first time bowling in 2 years. The place was clean, the manager Bob was nice, prices were a little high but next time I will come on Friday or Saturday when they have game specials. I will definetly go back and recomend the place.

Jupiter Lanes if a very nice bowling center but it also has many flaws, not only with the lane conditions but with Management. Yes, the lanes are some what crappy including the approaches and it is most likely not because of Jimmy leaving. Even when he was still working there they condition was the same. As for the Management, Bob and John are most likely the reason of why many bowlers continue to return. P on the other hand screams at the top of her lungs at the employees as if she owns them. One can also very well see that P has had absolutely no management experience what so ever. Also, since when did it become right for an employee to drink on the job, especially a manager. But because of the fact that P is C’s cousin nothing with be done and will probably never be done. C is a very nice person in general, she is always wanting everything to run smoothly but once again there’s some flaws. C does not listen to what her employees say and is some what cheap with some things. As for D, I do believe it is time for him to retire! He is an inconsiderate piece, he does not listen to employees as well and is just crap! Jupiter Lanes could very well be a very nice center but with these problems blocking the way I see not to much success. What would really be nice if one opened up a bowling alley around Jupiter Lanes and put them out of business! In leaving regards what every happened to the random drug tests because more than half of your empolyees should get one frequently including P and D, whom is also worthless and does not have a clue as to what she is doing half the time, oh and did I mention she smells like she just left a bar!

I have bowl at jupiter lanes since they opened several years ago. Is management or Christine to cheap to turn it on before the early leagues instead of during or at the ends and those approaches are pretty sticky. I currently bowl on Tuesday nights in the NBA league and have hurt my back already. What happened to the machines, they are always breaking down now a days could that be because Jimmy’s not there. Alot of complaints on this matter. Please try to fix please.

Comment Date: 8/13/2007 Name: Former Jupiter Lanes League Bowler
Come on People, Christine Holds all the cards, why do you think the a/c is not lowered, simple ,because she said so, and she pays the bill, Thats why the managers can’t touch the a/c settings, So don’t blame them, And as far as Doug goes if the strings were cut , He would lose all his Toys

Comment Date: 8/11/2007 Name: Anon
I have bowled at Jupiter Lanes for many years and have a few comments. In general the machines are well kept and and it is a clean establishment. The biggest complaint I have, as do many others, is the air conditioning. Jupiter Lanes is simply too hot. Not only does this make it miserable for the bowler it also makes the approaches sticky. I personally know of many bowlers that have quit because they are afraid of injuries on those sticky approaches. Come on Christine tell your managers to turn down the air. Another complaint I have is the lack of postings of league sheets on the walls. I can’t tell you how many times I have come in to see where my team is in the standings or who we are going to bowl and there is not a sheet to be found. Let me finish with management.
Christine is wonderful and does react to concerns quickly but she is not at the lanes very much. Doug is the G.M. and he’s a good guy but why is it so hot? Patricia, all I can say about her is that it’s a good thing she is Christine’s cousin because she is definitely not customer service oriented. Thank goodness for Bob and John.

The management of Jupiter and Saint Lucie Lanes are always looking for highly motivated self starters to come on board and begin a career in the family entertainment business that will bring them professional satisfaction and financial stability. Please stop by the front desk of either one of our facilities, as for an employment application and arrange for a personal interview. We are always “looking for a few good people”.

My wife and I bowled there over the last weekend and found that the approach was sticky. We asked that it be oiled and they sprayed something on it and it was no better. We played two games and more than likely won’t go back. I have bowled for years and never seen an alley so poorly maintained.

doug and christine… you need to turn on the air conditioning to allow bowlers to at least cool down, then your approaches might work… think of that! and all this time you were putting baby powder to try to get them to slide… brilliant!
just imagine how many league bowlers you might be able to keep for another 5-10 years because they didn’t have a knee of hip problem!

I bowl in 1 league a week and am getting sick and tired of sweating because the mangement is to cheap to turn the A/C on before we start bowling, instead they turn it on after we have started. Then they come back an hour later and turn it off to save money. Several of the league bowlers have complained about this, but does the management -NO they don’t. As this bowling center gotten so cheap that they have stopped the beer frame ( that has been happening for many years) that each league use to have the opportunity to win each week. That is getting pretty bad and cheap if you ask me.

Special kudos to our A-Mechanic, Jimmy Mack. Jimmy tirelessly awoke early each and every weekend to personally be on premises to prepare our lanes and machines for the 72nd Men’s State Tournament. Any comments from your anonymous subscribers are wholly unfounded and false. Jimmy and his staff, as USBC Treasure Coast Bowling Association President Elect Raymond Huneault stated speaking of the nine week men’s tournament recently held at our facility……” Again, I would like to thank you, Doug Moore, (our General Manager) and your staff for the excellent job you did for us on such short notice.”

Comment Date: 7/24/2006 Name: Christine Vitolo
One of our bowlers brought derogatory comments from a disgruntled ex-employee found on your website to my attention. Unfortunately, this ex-employee did not have the courage to give his name and remains anonymous.
However President Elect, Raymond Huneault, USBC Treasure Coast Bowling Association, recently wrote the following about our staff and center:
I quote……”On behalf of the Treasure Coast Bowling Association I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for allowing us to host the 72nd Annual State Tournament at Jupiter Lanes…….. Your staff was extremely cooperative and helpful. I know nine weeks is a long time of early mornings and late nights, however, everyone had gret attitude and a smile on their faces. We recevied an abundance of compliments from the bowlers on how well the staff treated them and how well they liked the center.” Now, need we say more?

welll even thought i have been bowling htere for five long years jupiter lanes is hte worst bowling alley i ahve ver been 2 the appproaches r terrbl and very sticky the lanes are never oiled properley. Being a former employee of jupiter i should know that they treat their staff like dog crap on my shoe. Sometimes i wonder if the food is cooked or still crawling. The owner focuses way too much on her self and no else. She doesnt even care for bowling. Some employess get paid less then minimun wage. That brings me to another thing it will cost to people at least $50.00 for 2 games. People can easily spend $70.00 with just 3 people 3 games each. Their machines on the lanes always break and i garuntie you that at least twice you will have a problem. But mostley they dont care for the customer at all. I cant wait to start bowling somewhere else as soon as possible but for now it willl ahve to do.
– thanx

The approach is never cleaned (other bowlers complained as I got my lane cleaned, which did not help). You stop short which can lead to knee and hip problems and is extremely dangerous.
