This place is a nice facility with a decent lane setup and the prices are good enough for me and some friends to bowl. The good part is that there is a one hour on a lane deal for 12 bucks, great for me and a few friends to practice bowl. The only downside is when the Kopa Room has karoke contests and always blast the music, distracting me and my friends. But overall, 4 stars!

The bowling alley is pretty nice. There are good deals for those in leagues. To my surprise, the restrooms are pretty clean and so are the lanes usually. My only complaint is the food-it tastes too much like cafeteria food from college, yuck!!! The service in the restaurant has worsened. They don’t let adults get a kids meal and we’re stuck with these outrageous portions that not everyone can eat and the lady was extremely rude. I did not like that. However, there are many leagues open for me that can fit my schedule. The only food I do get is out of the vending machine.

Nice place, but better if the lanes were better maintained. I had perfect shots and with the goofy oil patterns, the ball went off and i missed my marks.

It is a nice place to go to; however, the lanes could be better maintained as the ball returns take forever to give bowling balls back. Some of the newer employees need training on how to deal with all kinds of different people as some of the newbies are not very honest.

I bowled here once and the lanes were in bad shape-too much oil and constant breaking down. The youngsters working at the desk were rude and would not take care of anything. The place has sadly become a hangout for rowdy and drunk college students as I have had run ins with college students picking on me and my friends because of our disabilities and that made me so mad, me and my friends left. The food was awful as one got sick the very next day.
It was once a good place, but there needs to be some set rules for people on appropriate behavior and the lanes need to be up to date.

It used to be a nice place. But I have had run-ins with the college students who are rude and do not care about the rules. Furthermore, what is scary is that the youngsters working there are rude and allow the misconduct to continue. When our lanes break down, the yougnsters give the most annoying excuses rather than being honest.
The food was once good, but won’t eat after me and a friend fell ill one day.
There needs to be enforcement of the rules towards all people and if they cannot follow them, kick them out. I’ve been to other places where the rules are enforced once and for all.
One bad expereince included a college guy harassing me and no one did a thing about it. I wound up leaving the place ticked off more than usual.

This place used to be a decent place to bowl. However, this place is a hangout for rude and snotty college students who have little respect for disabled individuals and like to yell prejudiced comments. The kids also like to play their music loudly, spit, curse and do anything to make my and my friends’ visits a living nightmare. The kids (college-aged) have never done a thing about it. Some of the employees are rude and whenever there is something wrong with the lanes, rather than taking care of it correctly, I get a bunch of excuses. The lanes and equip. need to be taken care of better and the youngsters they have hired need sensitivity training on dealing with folks with all types of disabilities.

Iam actually ashamed of this episode. A few weeks ago I was bowling on a Thurdays Afternoon. I was walking past a senior bowling group and heard several racial slurs being thrown around. Since I was there with my African American girlfriend I could only assume they were referring to her as they all laughed. My g/f did not hear the remarks or she would have made a huge issue over it. I chose not to make an issue of it so it would not escalate. I do not think I should be called a “N” lover just because I love a woman of a different race.

I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. It is well kept. The only thing that upset me was that a certain individual who was not handicapped, took the only handicap spot available. He was totally rude and said that he was a veteran and was entitled to special privileges. Hope he is not a regular because this is a standup joint.

Does anyone know anyhting about Rusty Costello? His picture is up as one of the 300 at Linbrook lanes. Its an old picture like all the rest.

I love Linbrook bowl even though I can’t bowl for beans on those lanes. But the old fashion of the place is what makes it so fun.
I miss Shirley who got sick and I heard Eva was ready to retire. Those two are awesome. Eulalio is a great mechanic.
It’s not always perfect, some of the younger desk staff are kind of cocky and not very professional.
Still I have a good time and I hope it continues to be successful.

I’m in Northern CA now, and I miss Librook a lot. I worked the lanes, and was bar back for a while. The regulars are great people, and the gals serving drinks are the coolest. And the GM John is one of my favorite cats on the orb. The ‘actual’ bowling? I hardly bowl. I just really like the people and the environs.

Great place to bowl, drink. Love the place.. Unfortunatly, some employees have bad customer service skills and act a bit on the rude side.
do recommend!

The prices are good compared to other bowling alleys.. Monday and Tuesday nights after 9pm is only $1.75 a game. The lanes are ok at best, and the ball are ok at best also.. The diner food and staff is great. The prices at the diner is very good also… The bathrooms could use better ventilation. The smell … can last about 30 minutes in there. The staff at the counter is very friendly also…

Great bowling alley.

I enjoyed going to this center. Prices are very reasonable, including the drinks at the bar. But, I might add that the people who go there are very strange looking. Especially a drunk lady that goes there very often and makes a scene every time she goes. Overall…you get what you pay for.

Linbrook is a great place to go bowling but all it needs is a lot more repairing on the ball return and remodel the place like the 50’s since it opened in 1958. They also need repaint the makings where you mark to throw the ball. Also the food is great and also the Kopa Room is really cool since they have Kareoke. But Linbrook very old but most likely the cheapest price for a game. Monday-Tuesday 8pm-1am and Fridays 10am-5pm are just $1.75 a game.

Linbrook is pretty cheap, probably the cheapest you can find on weeknights but the quality of the lanes/facility/house balls is pretty dingy, it’s true, you get what you pay for…their lanes sometimes don’t return the balls and it gets stuck often and you often find shady characters hanging around outside since it’s not situated in the best of locales.

The place is a poor facility, both in cleanliness, maintenance, and employees. The house balls are in the worst shape I’ve ever seen at any bowling alley. The lanes themselves are in poor shape. The ball returns are in desperate need of repair. The place can be cheap on weeknights, but you really get what you pay for. I won’t even mention the state of the bathrooms.

I heard this was a great place to bowl but was very disappointed when I first went there. The place looks like it’s falling apart. It was pretty dingy and not well maintained. The lanes and the balls were in poor condition. This place needs some serious restoration.

Linbrook BC is the last of a breed, and a great place to bowl, eat and drink. Nice little website, but where’s the guest book? It would be cool to find out who is logging on. Hey: how about an internet bowling special? Free beer?
Ok, but Linbrook is the real deal: no missteps here.

Linbrook is great–all of us from the San Fernando Valley make the trek often ’cause the owners have retained Linbrook’s authenticity. None of the new “fake retro” look. All the great bowling alley signs are disappearing–there’s nowhere else you can go and see a spinning 50’s bowling pin sign like Linbrook’s! Love the coffee shop and that original cocktail lounge door is totally cool.

Very nice! Needs a website. I hear there’s one trying to be made!

Linbrook is a good place to have fun and it’s an overall A+ but it needs to make several repairs and make it so it looks like the 50’s, You know when it was bought by my friend’s grandpa.

The Linbrook center is a great place to spend the weekends at! It offers a great enviroment for people to bowl in and the food is great! I was a bit disappointed when the Pro Shop was closed on a Sunday and wasn’t able repair my new ball. Also, the center should be remodeled with the 50’s look and have a website.

Great place except the Pro Shop is closed on Sunday!
