Funny how all the bad comments are from same day. Looks like one hostile person, maybe even a fired employee trying to set out revenge?

Comment Date: 4/7/2012 Name: Jack
I find the staff very helpful. I am surprised at the previous statements. It looks as if there was one problem and every one from the group made nasty statements.

Comment Date: 1/5/2012 Name: edward
the employees have no idea what they are doing. they dont care about their customers even if the customers pay money to go bowling. the employees just care about the money. employees need to pay more attention to their customers and treat their customers the right way.

Comment Date: 1/5/2012 Name: john
the employees have to work on their attitude. did u see how many complains about the employee’s attitude?? well there are alot so the employees seriously have to work on their attitude.even the price is good it doesn’t mean that they need to be rude to they customer.

Comment Date: 1/5/2012 Name: tom
i had a very bad experience at Irvine Lanes. i am very upset about the employees rudeness. the employees made me unhappy about their attitude. all the employees that work there should be fired PERIOD!!!!!!!

I am having my party there in a few weeks. it is a nice bowling alley. everyone has their bad days and you should not judge a place just because the employee has a bad day. get over it. they have cheap prices and are a nice bowling alley. I will continue going there over the previous bowling alley I went to

Comment Date: 3/7/2011 Name: It is what it is
I like irvine’s run down but really cheap! We all know that Irvine lanes is a fun and unpretentious place so just have fun and lighten up….It is what it is…

Comment Date: 1/4/2011 Name: Raych
I’ve visited this establishment before, and it didn’t seem that bad of a place. Granted I didn’t actually speak to or have much interaction with the staff there. I was looking for a place to go for my birthday this year and, after reading the interaction between an EMPLOYEE who isn’t paying attention to what the customer is saying, It is obvious that they must not expect the employees of this establishment to actually have customer service skills. Guess they won’t get any of my money.

Comment Date: 12/15/2010 Name: Bob
For the record, the “Employee” is actually the owner. And of course I have never returned. Why would I? I’m treated better at every other bowling alley that I’ve ever been to, and every other one is cost less. Anyone going to this place after knowing this would be an absolute moron. If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere for kids, go to Forest Lanes in Lake Forest. Stop the hateful remarks on me. I simply voiced my opinion before being verbally attacked by the owner AKA “employee”.

Comment Date: 11/1/2010 Name: Anonymous
It was a normal bowling alley. Normal prices. In regards to the interaction below an employee is a human and is in the right to have an opinion. They are not working right now and do not represent the company. Bob is embarrassing himself. I work at Disneyland. I deal with guests all the time. Some are good some are bad. If i get a bad guest it doesn’t mean Disneyland isn’t fun. In otherwords, irvine lanes is a fine establishment even if one employee and one customer have a disagreement.

Comment Date: 10/12/2010 Name: I go yard bowling
Irvine lanes’ staff is one of the worst bowling center staffs I have ever encountered. Enough Said.

Comment Date: 2/11/2010 Name: Fed up
We get it Bob. ST*U and go bowl somewhere else.

Comment Date: 1/7/2009 Name: auntieh
now that i read the comments between an EMPLOYEE and a guest i won’t even consider going here.

Comment Date: 9/28/2008 Name: Anonymous
wow, i was looking for a good place to throw a party for my husband but if an employee of this establishment is going to argue with a guest about their opinion then what kind of service would i expect to get there. maybe you should think about that.

Comment Date: 6/23/2008 Name: Bob
I never said weekends. I never said league lineage. I’m just simply stating your rates are super high during the week, when every other bowling alley around is cheaper than yours. No worries though, Forest Lanes in Lake Forest is $2.00 a game Monday – Thursday, 11am to 4pm. I guess if I hit the lotto I might be able to play at Irvine again. Odds are a bit slim. See ya.

Comment Date: 5/15/2008 Name: Employee
You are the one who should save yourself from embarassment. Before you make any comments, you should actually read my statements. Go to {Saddleback Lanes’ website} and you will find the prices are on the WEEKENDS (LIKE I PREVIOUSLY SAID), evenings and holidays $6.00 per game.

Comment Date: 5/15/2008 Name: employee
hey Bob get your facts straight, she said league lineage

Comment Date: 5/9/2008 Name: Employee
Once again, your statement is incorrect. I just looked at one bowling center in our area (Saddleback)and they are the same price as we are on the weekends.

Comment Date: 5/9/2008 Name: Bob
You’re wishing I was wrong, but I’m right. Saddleback Lanes on Fridays is $1.50 a game. Again, Irvine Lanes is $4.25 a game, every week day. Seriously, you might want to save yourself from further embarrassment.

Comment Date: 5/4/2008 Name: Bob
Fair enough. And all that I am saying is that the price of a bowling game is cheaper at every other bowling center in California than Irvine Lanes.

Comment Date: 5/2/2008 Name: Employee
What I said is that our LEAGUE LINEAGE is lower than those around us. We ARE lower than Fountain for our leagues.

Comment Date: 4/29/2008 Name: Bob
If the prices were compared to the other local bowling centers, then I’m sure that some of these GREAT prices were discovered;
$1.25 per game, ALL day Monday’s at Westminster Lanes.
$1.99 per game, ALL day Wednesday’s at Fountain Bowl.
Irvine lanes best price is $4.25 per game, Monday through Thursday. That is more than 3x the price of Westminster Lanes and more than 2x the price of Fountain Bowl.
That being said, it’s obvious that the cost of a bowling game is not the cost that was compared to the other bowling centers.

Comment Date: 4/17/2008 Name: Employee
We check our competitions rates before raising them, so we are in tune to what the other centers around us are doing. We are still one of the lowest lineages for our league play compared to the centers in our area.

Comment Date: 4/13/2008 Name: Bob
10% is an unreasonable amount to ask for, on top of what was an already unreasonable price to begin with. You make it sound like 10% is not a lot, when in fact it is.
It’s a good bowling center… It’s too bad you have to be one of the Forbes 400 to play there.

Comment Date: 3/25/2008 Name: Employee
Furthermore, the prices were not jacked way up, there was an increase, but it was only 10%

Comment Date: 3/25/2008 Name: Employee
The rates are not $35.00 per hour, so you should get your facts straight before posting information that is incorrect.

Comment Date: 2/19/2008 Name: Bob
It seems the owner decided to dump a lot of cash on making Irvine Lanes a really nice place recently. Bravo! It looks great. The bad side is that all of the prices have now been jacked WAY Up! It’s now $20 an hour on a week day, during the morning hours. $35 an hour if you decide to show up after 5pm or on the weekend. If you get thirsty, you’ll find yourself feeding the vending machine $2.00 for a little soda. These prices are compareable to going to Disneyland for the day. Fountain Lanes is really where it’s at. Decent rates during the week, and the lanes are better cared for. Irvine Lanes prices are a joke. Your done digging deep in my pockets.

Comment Date: 3/4/2007 Name: ispeedonthe405
If you’re looking for someplace with a lot of noise and flashing lights where the kids will have fun, Irvine Lanes will do. But if you’re looking for a place to bowl, keep looking. The ball returns and monitors and such are in fine shape but it feels like the lanes haven’t been oiled since Carter was in office. It’s a high-volume party place, not a bowling alley.
