Everyone wants something for nothing. The commentors here are more than likely the same ones that cut you off on the freeway, text and drive while they have their kids in carseats, park on railroad tracks with kids in the back, etc. These are the ones bitching here, not people who want to throw some balls for a good time. There is nothing wrong with the lanes, the people or the staff. Been bowling there for a number of years and it has been great, unlike fantasy land across town.

Valencia lanes has the worst worst customer service. I called to being my kids bowling and verify how the program works kids bowl free. The girl on the phone told me, “kids only pay for shoes up to 5 o’clock.” I came in and when I told them I was here to have my kids bowl she told me I needed a coupon she never never informed me of that .. She said she didnt understand my question.. I would have to go home and registor on line. My 5 year was crying at this point. Did she wave ir and keep a customer happy for 7 dollars .”No”. I would never set one foot in here again if it wasn’t for my kids wanting to bowl .. So disappointed with them when I use to pay 40 every summer for 2 years for my kids to bowl for 6 weeks never again !!!

Comment Date: 6/4/2012 Name: Anonymous
when can the kids bowl 2 games for free if they have the coupons?

I cant wait to start Bowling here again in Sept. 2012. I have been over at S.C.Lanes what a scummy place to Bowl. The owner Tom cares more about his dream of becoming a Casino owner than the Bowlers. I have to buy new equipment because S.C. lanes lanes are so dirty and the machinery are so old. It DESTROYED my Bowling Balls. The only good thing about the place is the bartender Mel.

My family and I went bowling at the Valencia Bowling. It was awful, the people who work there are so rude. The place wasn’t clean. We will never go back there ever again.

Comment Date: 3/11/2012 Name: Bowler’s Parent
The bowlers and parents of junior bowlers at Valencia are HORRIBLE. They are loud and rude, flat our mean (and proud of their behavior) with regard to other bowlers. The staff there does nothing to stop the behavior. I know MANY people that will never allow their children to return there nor will they themselves bowl there ever again. The poorest excuse of sportsmanship in people I have ever seen. If that is a sample of the people that are regular “house” bowlers at Valencia…NO THANK YOU !!!

Valencia Lanes is a very well maintained facility! They seem to have kicked out the gangbangers and the leagues there are awesome. The coaches in the youthleagues are very helpful, the food there is exceptional, the arcade is good, and the Cosmic Bowling Rox! Tell ya Valencia Lanes seems to have cleaned up and also, they added the new Brunswick Vector Scoring System with 10-Frame Format Views of Juniors Sample Animations and installed slim sleck new flat screen monitors which will make any bowling center more upscale!

I recently went to a birthday party there, and the party hostess was great her name was Tammy. I recommend a party at Valencia lanes!

What happened? bowling alley used to be clean few months ago, now its filthy. What happened to those other 2 employee’s on neon nights? now its just some fat guy {deleted} behind the desk?

Comment Date: 11/27/2010 Name: Joe bowler
Had fun nice and clean easy to use scoring. Seemed a little pricy $32 for 1 hour for me and my daughter. Guys at the desk seemed a little short and unwilling to help. Overall though had a good time.

Comment Date: 5/14/2010 Name: Anonymous
so what are your hours? your only open from 9pm-7am every night? no other time at all?

Comment Date: 4/8/2010 Name: valencia
I just about died when I read ms.garcias comment. Maybe you spent a little too much time at the bar… what kind of responsible adult spends “tons of money” at a bar during their kids party…Im sure they were rude for good reason. LOL

Comment Date: 4/7/2010 Name: Amber
I agree with Monika. You can atleast set up a FACEBOOK page so people can see what your establishment is like – and its Free!!

Comment Date: 3/24/2010 Name: anonymous
I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. It is by far the best bowling ally in Santa Clarita, they frequently wax their lanes, its clean, and their balls are organized. The staff have always been super nice and accomodating. Ms Garcia and her family must have been really nasty because they frequently have allowed families to bring cake and eat it there. Its just as long as your respectful with them. This is an example of how nice they are: my brother has a disability and when some kids started making fun of him and pushed him, a staff came in and defended him and told the kids if they didn’t knock it off they could leave because they don’t tolerate prejudice.

Comment Date: 2/15/2010 Name: anonymous
Ms. Garcia,
You can not bring outside food or beverage into an establishment that serves food. They were not trying to be mean, they are trying to cover their a**!
Obviously, it is people like you that bring in outside food, eat it and then sue the establishment for getting sick…

Hello, I think you guys should have your own website. It’s 2010!!!! It would be nice to see information about the hours, prices, any weekend specials etc.. I’m sure you want to get more business… let’s do a little facelift and catch up with the technology.

great place, great people, great price, great time had by me

Comment Date: 2/24/2009 Name: Anonymous
I have recently began bowling with my wife and friends. Of the two bowling alleys in Santa Clarita, this is by FAR the best.
The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the prices very reasonable. They also have great special rates for lane rentals ect. My wife and I bowled three games each for $9 total! The staff is happy to help with anything from tournament info., pro shop needs or setting up scoring/lane assignments. They have league bowling, tournaments etc. The bar has reasonable prices with a fair beer/mixed drink selection. Pro shop staff will give you fair advice and wont sell you stuff you don’t need. They also have plenty of activities for the kids-bumper bowling, arcade etc.
Bar staff needs to be increased during tournaments or busy times. Waiting in line for a drink for 10 minutes during a tournament seems excessive when there is only 1 bartender and 120 bowlers plus friends and staff. I have not eaten anything but fries here, but they were cold.
Great overall value! Clean fun for friends or family at very reasonable prices.
Side note: The other bowling alley in Santa Clarita has a nice facility, but rude staff and high prices drive most of their customers to Valencia lanes.

I feel the place needs a big time makeover in staff and staff!, they are rude and racist. I will never again set foot there, it needs new management and maybe change of ownership!

Hey Mr owner can i get something for nothing to?

Comment Date: 11/11/2008 Name: anonymous
I have a paper bag you can try to act your way out of. Get real lady. Your like the guys who stand on a corner trying to get something for nothing. If you were a better actor you would have money to pay for goods and services instead of trying to get them for free.

Comment Date: 11/11/2008 Name: matt34561
This lady is a wacko! She is just a scam artist trying to get something for nothing.

Comment Date: 11/7/2008 Name: chris m
Miss garcia must have written her letter and not reread it. It is clearly an attempt to get a business owner to give her something so she will not keep trashing his business. I believe that if she contacted the business owner much sooner he would want to do something to make her happy providing her story is even partly true. What owner wouldn’t?

Comment Date: 11/7/2008 Name: watchdog
You have got to be kidding!!!! If Ms Garcia can’t see that she is at minimum “strong-arming” a business to give her something for free she is absolutly in denial. I’m sure the acting business is slow for her as her name is not a name I have ever heard of.

Comment Date: 11/4/2008 Name: bowlerbuddy
to ms garcia
your letter does sound a little like blackmail. you will start saying good things about the business (after saying bad things for 5 months) if they give you something. is acting work scarce?

Comment Date: 10/31/2008 Name: John wayne bobbit
The manager @ cosmic bowling, slapped my wife and accused us of drinking our own beer(from a bag) We have the receipts to show otherwise, screw this place

Comment Date: 10/24/2008 Name: Ms. Garcia
I would like to preface the following letter by saying that I got a call back from the owner. In short he stated that he agreed with everything except for the part where I waited five months to write the letter and that my letter was like “blackmail” to get something in return. I stated to him that I was not personally asking for anything but that I was thinking about the horrible time my nephew and everyone had. A total of 35 people. I also stated that using the word black mail was very harsh and inappropriate. In business the customer is usually always right and it was clear that he did not want to do anything to rectify the situation except to pretend to agree with me BUT for that one sentence. He stated that if I had come to him immediately he would have refunded the total 300.00. I told him I would never know that to be the truth since it’s easy to say whatever you want to say right now and are obviously finding loopholes to avoid having to do anything. I told him he was entitled to his opinion and that I would continue to be entitled to my opinion that Valencia Lanes is not the best place to go to celebrate a special occassion. Here is the letter:
October 20, 2008
Re: May 10, 2008 Birthday Party for my nephew
Dear Bill Mossontte (owner of Valencia Lanes),
On May 10th, 2008 we attended Valencia Lanes to celebrate my nephews birthday. Our time was from 9pm to 12midnight. We approximately rented five lanes and consumed much alcohol and soda beverages. When we celebrate an occasion we like to go all out and thus like to be treated with respect and courteously since we are providing business for you. When we arrived, we were made to wait. We had already called in advance to say that we were coming. Also, we ordered pizzas and a cake and were told that we could not cut the enormous cake that we had bought. Its interesting that your establishment thinks that pizza will make less of a mess then cake. Also interesting was finding a cake box in the trash which meant that someone else HAD been allowed to eat cake there. Furthermore, the manager at the time was soooo rude and lacking in personal skills. We had brought our own plates and napkins and utensils and had not been told about this cake policy. After we asked him to make an exception, even offering to pay him extra for allowing us to eat cake there, and stating that we would eat the cake around the table provided and clean up after ourselves, he still said no. It was clear that we were not irresponsible little teenagers but parents and responsible adults who would keep their word. After spending tons of money in your bar, he still said no. We were forced to sing Happy Birthday in the parking lot and the cake basically went to waste. Furthermore, at 12am, instead of giving us a five minute warning, he cut the lights abruptly and the games as well and basically with his rude manner rushed us out of the place. His demeanor was impatient and made us feel like we were bothering him for having to wait for us. At the point it was soooo apparent that we would not return to your establishment for business.
Since then, we have, through word of mouth, spread the news about your business. Perhaps it may not matter to you, but if any of what I have written does matter or makes you ponder the situation, it would be appreciated as the last thing I or any of the Valencia folk in my group want to do is create bad feelings in general for our community. As a business owner I would hope that you would offer, not me, but my nephew and his friends, some type of discount or incentive for returning to your business. This would create harmony and allow our consciousness to begin saying nice things about your business again. Its up to you.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. It has taken me several months to respond as I am a Screen Actors Guild Actress and have been away on projects and did not have time to write this letter until now.
