I love Double Decker! I don’t know what the other people are talking about, the staff is really friendly, and they do their best for the customers. The lanes are good too. It’s a great place for a Birthday party or to practice bowling

Me and my friends went there last night 11/18/2011 to have fun, we hadn’t been bowling in years. our game kept on freezing and so did the peoples next to us. They finally went up to the register and got there money back, once we went to get our refund they told us that since we only had 10 frames left that we were only entitled to get $4.75 back, the cost of 1 game, even tho we all paid our money. I will never go here again, Double Decker lanes ruined my first experience bowling in California, i took my family, and they ruined it. They couldn’t even give us a free pass, or half off. once we asked for the supervisor they said no, he isn’t here, there is no supervisor here, what kind of place doesn’t have a supervisor their. they were very rude, and i wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone.

Double Decker Lanes is a fine establishment. My wife and I always enjoyed visiting your lanes. The management keeps a very clean atmosphere, and allows for a tremendous amount of fun for all ages. The food was good, and I enjoyed meeting Nick in the Pro Shop. He was willing to do some ball work for me, and showed me around the facility. The machines looked very well kept, and the mechanics were very knowledgeable as far as the maintenance and dressing of the lanes. Overall, my assessment of Double Decker lanes is nothing short of five stars. A very enjoyable family atmosphere! ….. Earl Anthony

i bowl in a small bowling alley, so i love to come to the bigger bowling alley. i like the atmosphere. nice lanes. clean enough. nick is a great guy and pro shop operator. i have been coming to him ever since his days at windsor bowl. highly recommend him. rude service at front desk last time there.

I have bowled at many bowling centers in the south and northbay. I have never seen so many problems with lanes breaking down and such aweful lane conditions. The mechanic in charge should go back to school to learn the machines to get them fixed right and learn how to put down a lane condition. Avoid this bowling center or better yet boycott it… Owner needs to teach his staff how to treat the people that come to bowl there. From what I, Heard from an employee is the owner cares only about his wallet and not the bowlers. I will never go there again..NEVER. Avoid this place people. Go elsewhere.

We were having a really nice evening with friends and family at Double Decker Lanes until we went to get a few beers. The old lady bartending was so unbelievably rude to our group that my family will never go back there. She ruined the whole night for us. When we asked her why she was so angry she told us if we didnt like the way things were run we should go somewhere else. Well we plan on doing just that. We asked to speak to a manager and she told us she was the boss.??!! No wonder some of the other employees that night had a bad attitude as well. I can’t imagine working for such an angry woman! Everything else was fine but I won’t go back there intil she is fired.

I find the DD Lanes to be a good place to bowl. The lanes are well kept, the electronic scoring system works well, and aside from occasionally being placed next to a group of morons I thoroughly enjoy my bowling experience at DD.
The pro shop, while not the biggest around, is probably the best. Nick knows his stuff and is happy to share what he knows. He is very helpful answering questions and has a very friendly & outgoing demeanor that makes visiting the shop an enjoyable experience.
I have heard that the front desk staff can be a little cantankerous at times, not unlike anyone who deals with the general public. I however have not experienced this and in the case of DD they generally mirror my own attitude. The bar staff on the other hand seem to be a little uptight on occasion. They also seem to have challenges in regards to processing credit cards.
Overall I would rate Double Decker Lanes a 4.5 out of 5

Double Decker Lanes is a great place to bring the whole family. The place is safe, clean, and affordable entertainment.

Nice place. I always have fun. I do agree with the less than satisfactory customer service but people believe me, its not everyone who works there! Trust me, I know. Do what little kids do, If mom gives you attitude, go ask dad. haha
No really, If a certain employee is rude to you…dont deal with them again. Try the other one. Theyre probably nicer. If not, ur screwed for that day. I have gotten attitude from a lot of them. But there is this one girl who is ALWAYS nice to me and others. Think her names starts with an E. Talk to her.

I am a frequent bowler and have been all over the US, and any chance I get while on vacation, I tend to visit the local bowling alley. All I can say is this bowling center is by far the BEST I have EVER visited in my lifetime. I say this because of the superior customer service that was given to me and by the physical appearance and setting of the alley. At the front desk, a girl by the name of “Sara” assisted my group and I like a professional would. She would assist us by answering our questions very politely and helping our lanes out when we were experiencing problems. I am very familiar with the types of different lanes there are and oil patterns and Sara seemed to know it all. However, it seemed as though she was the only one doing her job while the other employees were standing in the back slacking off. Sara seems very dedicated to do her job and I can tell she has been working there for a while because of her instant responses to my questions without any hesitation. The telephones on the lanes really help to communicate problems to the front desk and beats having to walk up there every time there is a problem. There are 50 lanes and every lane has its own flat screen monitor. Minor problems occurred but were dealt with in a very timely manner. The overall appearance of the alley is extremely delightful and once again the customer service that was provided to me made me feel right at home. I would recommend this alley to anyone who loves bowling as much as I do.

I can not believe how this bowling alley is ran. It is such a nice bowling ally but there is one girl there who seems to give everybody attitude and her name is anna. I have been there multiple times and am finally fed up with how im treated so now im complaining. I wish there was a direct line to Mr decker on the website so I could send him a link to this. Every time I asked a question all i got was a rude response. Her attitude to everyone is one which shows me she’s just trying to get fired cause she really doesn’t give a care. If that was my business she’d be gettin a big lesson on business etiquette.

Skip it.
I tried to bowl here twice. The first time, I was told that no lanes were available, because of league play, when more than ten lanes were clearly not in use. I could wait for an hour and a half.
The second time I called ahead to find out about scheduling a lane and was told that night was never too busy. When I arrived the story was different – “put your name on a list”. I could wait for an hour and a half.
They can wait forever for my next visit.
Skip it.

I have been to Double Decker lanes several times and have had a problem with the people bowling. They’ve been extremely rude and have made bowling nearly impossible. Some would block the approach of my lane, little kids not supervised by their parents would run all over the approach and step in the oil and get it all over which makes bowling very difficult. Then you get the rude teenagers who think they are the only ones who are there. The last time I was there, 4 or 5 of them were on the approach and 3 of them decided to start throwing ball after ball down the lane. One girl threw a bowling ball like it was a baseball. Come teenagers, learn to respect other bowlers, have some common sense and learn to TAKE TURNS. If someone is up to bowl, learn the meaning of patience and WAIT until they are done BEFORE you go. It’s a simple courtesy for you and your fellow bowlers and can prevent an accident from happening!

Service is terrible. Automatic scores dont work right and desk people dont even know how to make corrections. Bowl does look very nice. Owner/Manager Needs to work on the staff for customer sevice and train people how to make scoring corrections.

I love to bowl and since this place is so close to home its the obvious choice. Overall I would say I have had pretty good experiences and continue to go. However, I do agree with the customer service complaints. Although I have had some good customer service, on several occasions I and/or my friends have been treated rudely by both one of the ladies at the counter and the older female bartender, for what seemed to be no reason. I understand that they are busy and stressed, as I was a server at a very popular restaurant for years I can understand completely but that doesn’t give them the excuse to treat customers rudely. Good place to bowl, just don’t expect consistently good and/or friendly service.

Double Decker Lanes is an AWESOME Bowling Alley. I have been there pleny of times and I truly love it. Every time I go, it’s packed with people. There always seems to be a lane opend though for the next costumer. I have bowled my highest game there which is a 211. I got 7 strikes in that game, and 6 of them were in a row. unlike some other alleys, this one has 50 lanes rather than only 30 like Windsor bowl. So if you love bowling, take my advice. The people at the front desk are very polite. This is the decfinte alley to go to to have a wonderful time with your family, friends, and especially your date.

I a absolutely can’t believe the HORRIBLE customer service “Anna” gave us (snotty and rude!!).
After being there a few weeks ago, an employee intentionally decided to screw with our 4 games in the 9th frame. He goes back behind our lane and lifts up the ‘catcher’, so the lane functionality stops, and the pins keep getting picked up/taken down by the pinsetter. About 10 times of this and we had it. We went to the front desk, where we met the rude “Anna”. She refused to refund our money, gave us an incredibly rude attitude (Think of the movie “Clueless”, where the girls think they can be rude and get away with it..only Anna was more horse-face looking) and only after speaking with 3 different people there, gave us 4 voucher games.
Last night we go back, spend about $40 in drinks (the bartender, Annie, was really rude to us too, for no reason!!) and food for my friend’s birthday, *plus* 2 paid bowling games, and then we want to use our 4 free games. Anna (horse-face) is there again (great) and immediately starts giving us attitude, acting like a snot-nosed 17 year old would if she got her Mustang taken away by her dad. She tells us we have to pay for shoe rentals. I tell her that is absolutely obsurd, since the employee last time intentionally screwed our 4 games up, we should not have to pay for shoe rentals. She tells us we have to talk to the bartender (??) about it, very rudely says “HAVE A NICE NIGHT” and walks away. We go to the bartender (Annie) and she is equally rude, blaming us for not having shoes of our own, and that she does not have the “authority” to give us shoes for our free games. I mean, come on. What authority do you need, to give decent customer service, and pick up a few pairs of shoes and give them to us to use?? She told us we have to call the owner in the morning to talk about it. Well, the next day isn’t my friend’s birthday anymore, and we were all so furious we just left.
I would advise not going here if you want good customer service. Both of these people should be fired.

This is one of my favorite bowling centers. Very rarely are there any problems with the equipment (and all problems I have had have either been fixed in minutes, or the staff moved me to another lane and proceeded to fix the problems).
The Manager is also very helpful. I organized a bowling club at a high school in Santa Rosa that I attended and the Manager, Dennis, happily gave me league rates for club members.
Jose, I am sorry that you had a “bad” experience, but there is no reason that you and your family cannot return balls when you are done using them (of course you don’t own the house balls) and there is also no reason that you and your family/friends cannot untie the shoes that you rented when you are done. That is not the job of the staff (their job is not to clean up your mess).
The staff at this location are very friendly (as long as you follow the rules, then watch out for the bar tender). They are also very helpful.
This location is very clean and they have the best prices that I have seen at any location. This is inpart due to the fact that they use solar power.
I would recommend this alley to anybody who plans (or regularly) bowls in the Rohnert Park/Santa Rosa area.
The best lanes in my opinion. These lanes are by no means overrated, maybe underrated, but not overrated.

I have been to the double decker lane bowling arena twice and bpth times i have had horrible experiences… the first time i went the lanes kept breaking down and we had to get an associate every 5 minutes or so, this was annoying after the second time… the second time i went an associates made us un tie our shoe laces on our bowling shoes and then she tried to make us put all the bowling balls away which half of them didnt belong to us in the first place.. I as a customer will never go back to this location or company, i as a general Manager expect great customer service which in both cases was not provided… I am extremely upset with this company and will not support this company any further as well as my friends and partners…

Overated? No. I think Shamus is just a worn out bowler. The lanes are in excellent shape and it’s a very decent shot. The proprietor puts money on great upkeep of the place.
Great junior program… a wine country pro tournament every summer.
So O’Grady… when do we have a match at this center? I’ll call you and set the time. Loser buys Outback steaks…

Went there for the first time today. They were doing some renovating, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying myself. Lanes were decent. Dry heads, with a little oil in the center. Staff was helpful, and the approaches were very clean. One thing that is kind of cool, is the scoring machines. After you throw a shot, it has a video of the same shot you just threw. The quality of the video isn’t that great, but it is just a fun little thing there. Price wasn’t too bad. Overall a fun place. I wouldn’t call it overrated with the rating that it has. I would call it underrated on lanes. And I didn’t find the lanes all that easy. They weren’t especially difficult, but by no means were they just giving up strikes.

I’m sick of all the people who cry about how hard some lanes are so they come to this overrated center.
