“bowler”, Three things: 1. Management??? HAHAHAHAHA 2. Too little too late 3. You can’t fix stupid. My money still goes elsewhere.

Mark B.; thanks for never coming back. As for all the Haters; management went through changes since the first of the year (2011) and are trying to improve the way the center’s run. New pins will be installed this summer to give time for them to get “broken in” before winter leagues. Bike night is coming back. management seems to care now about the needs of the regular bowlers; but as most can see from some of the comments, you can’t please everybody.

Well done,,,,it only took you 6 1/2 years to turn this place into a giant piece of CRAP. Way to go idiots. If you didnt pay me so well, I would quit today.

I almost makes me sick to see places like this one or Paradise lanes in Gadsden go down the drains. Lighting strikes was a great center in its day, when Dennis Lewis worked there. Some one need to print this out and take it to the owners, they need to be aware of the state of the center from out side bowlers view. it is easy to lose sight of what the center looks like or how it runs if you never ask the questions or watch how it runs. Please wake up and see this before it is to late, it is way to nice of a center just to go to $%^# in a few years.

Holy crap!!! what happened to this five year old center? I walked into the building last week after being in the service for 18 months and was absolutely disgusted by what I saw. This place is NASTY!!! THe restrooms stink, The carpet is filthy, The lanes look like they haven’t been cleaned in a week and the parking lot had broken beer bottles scattered all over the place. What happened to the staff that gave a crap about their center? All I saw was a bunch of idiots just sitting around doing nothing but collecting a check. If it was up to me, I would fire every person there and hire back the original staff that opened the place. THEY CARED!!! I will never step foot back in this dump again. My money goes elsewhere.

It is such a nice place to see it close! The owner should get rid of the family that is robbing her blind and the place would make her lots of money. I will really hate to see this place close because no one knows how to run it. The right management could make this place make lots of money. I sure wish I had the money to buy it, it would make a great bowling center!

Everything very professional but the Video game room had like have the things busted or just out of order. Told the staff but they didn’t seem to care. Sad this place looks great everywhere else.

I recently had a birthday party at home and was flaberghasted at the amount of time and money I spent on the whole thing not to mention I had to clean up after everyone left. 2 days later we had been invited to a bowling party at LS and I was amazed at how the mother didn’t need to do anything but watch her son have a GREAT time. I was very jealous and next year my sons party will be at Lightning Strikes…. I would pay $200.00 so that my son can have a great time and so that I don’t have to clean up after it, or before! It is also a very spacious beautiful facility… We love Lightning Strikes!

I thought it was fabulous. Nice lanes and clean atmosphere. I even was able to beat an idiot that said he had a 250 average. His ball spent more time in the gutter than it did on the lanes itself.

Lightning Strikes is a great place to bowl. It would be an even better place to bowl if it were a NO SMOKING establishment. Since 75% of adults do not smoke, you should cater to them. I dislike walking into a business that smells like an ash tray. Besides, second hand smoke has been proven to cause cancer in non-smokers. Smokers will still bowl in a non-smoking house just as they still go to work in non-smoking businesses.

We would like to thank everyone who has taken their time to express their concerns and interest in Lightning Strikes. As most realize, every new business will have a few problems or kinks that must be worked out and resolved. We will be the first to admit we have had our fair share of problems and would to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation with dealing with these problems. However, we do appologize and hope that our customers will continue to work with us in overcoming any of these issues. In only 6 months, we have completed over 350 bithday parties and are very proud of this. As our customers already know, we administer a complete post-party survey for all of our customers to answer if they choose. We are more than happy to share any and all of these surveys with anyone who wishes to review them. With customer service being our primary goal, we have made extensive efforts to guarantee this. In fact we went as far as to ask our direct competition to attend a birthday party and critique it as their own. At the end of the party, our competition stated to us, “It looks like we have some changes to make if we want to keep up with Lightning Strikes”. For anyone who may be concerned or interested, we are more than happy to provide you with list of refrences of those who have had that “complete birthday party” with us. Finally, we appreciate any concern there may be with our pricing. We welcome all of those who choose, to shop around and decide for themselves for which center best meets their needs. For anyone concerned we welcome any suggestions and comments you may have. You may contact us via phone (205) 655-4500 or through our website,

I think that they should have a special area on where they can find information on the drilling costs, slugs, and finger tips and etc.

Beware! The overpriced kids’ and teens’ bowling parties. We made a reservation for a Saturday at 2:30pm. The management called us back and said that we had to reschedule to 1:00pm due to a league coming in that afternoon. Arrived at the Bowling Alley on-time at 1:00pm and was told that they could not give us lanes until 2:30pm!!!! And there were open lanes all over the place, never used while we waited. The cost was going to be $200.00 – however we told the attendant to forget it. We ended up just renting two lanes and the shoes, instead of going with the party as originally intended. This business lost money we were willing to pay due to inept service. Not to mention – $3.00 for a diet coke? It’s cheaper at the movie theater!!!!

The birthday parties they make sound really well, but beware. For teen parties they get almost nothing for $200.00. This is way too expensive for them to do it. You can come out much cheaper by just renting their lanes, shoes and feeding them from the snack bar yourself. I would think for $200.00 you would get more than an hour of bowling, 1 slice of pizza. Had to ask several times for tokens for the kids after they sat in a party room that was like a oven. Moms, think twice before doing this. Kids were very disappointed because they did not get to finish their game or have coke and popcorn as promised in the advertisement for the teen parties. Very expensive for almost nothing.

Way too expensive! There’s only one bowling center in Birmingham that has reasonable prices for open bowling. $4.50 per game is right out.

Very nice new alley.. There are 40 lanes and all of them have new touch screen monitors that you program bowlers into. There is even a good sized arcade with air hockey and pool tables.. to race car driving and ski ball. Very Nice!
