What Can I say, $3 for a glass of water, $10 for a cheeseburger that tastes nasty, snack bar charges premium prices for frozen food, they recently raise the prices at the snack bar 100%. They want to make more money how about sending some of the workers home when it’s 8 PM and no bowlers but there are 10 workers sitting around doing NOTHING??? I’m own a few company’s, and if I owned this ally I would fire the managers without blinking. If the manager isnt doing there job do you think the workers will? Come on, who ever owns this place, get some people who care about it, it’s a gold mine being run by people digging for salt.

Arcade games are ALWAYS broken, when I told the staff they would not refund the coins we inserted and lost. The pro shop, the people just don’t care, they are more interested in there own bowling then to help customers who wanted to buy a bowling ball. The place could be so great, but with all companys, poor management can ruin a great company. GERT RID OF THE SNACK SHOP GIRL WITH ATTITUDE THAT IS ON HER CELL PHONE ALL THE TIME, GET RID OF THE PRO SHOP GUY WHO TAKES 20 MINS TO ASK IF YOU NEED HELP AND PROMISES TO WATCH YOU BOWL BUT NEVER SHOWS. And get someone to help the poor guy at the counter! He runs his a** off and with a line of 10 people not one other staff member helps him out.

I’ve been bowling for these past years and as the arcade grows the only worker there are very unqualified always texting during business hours and always being really rude to costumers or even celling items from arcade to children. Most of the time that girl named Emilia always sitting down doing absolutely nothing or even fixing her makeup. Other worker hardly seen their very independent and nice. As of manager alee very adorable. Most machines out of order n when ask about it to the lady she always has great manners and reasonable answers not like miss rude over there!

I bowl every Tuesday. Leage, Tuesday Twisters. I just love the place it’s nice, clean, friendly, comfortable, safe I could go on and on. It would be nice to be able to check team standings on line. It’s hard waiting until the following Tuesday to find out how your team did compared to the other teams. I always look forward to a great night out at the STRIKE ZONE

Its a lot of fun is always packed. to be honest one of the only reasons I go there is because of a waitress. she is beautiful and a very good hostess….Natasha. She will put a smile on your face.

I enjoy Manteca Family FC and must respectfully disagree with these previos comments. I notice that the place is a little less busy with the retreat of the economy and allowsore relaxed and comfotable feeling while bowlin. On my last trip, i noticed an altercation in the alley and watched as security immediately took care of the problem. And the Rookies bar is a bit pricey, but the bartenders are very nice and welcoming. Overall a fun trip!

Manteca Bowling is my favorite bowling alley ever. I would be more then happy to work there.
Any week day and any time between 11:00 am and
6:30 PM.

It would be my dream come true to work for Manteca Bowling because no other place is safe for me because I have Seazures still.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There is no security, cameras & lots of lights are out there. We had a party during the day & one of our party members got their car broken into…in the day time! Management didn’t even care to come out to see (must be common to have crime there). The owner Marie Raymus doesn’t care at all and says that the crime in HER business’ parking lot is not her responsibility. This place has a history of crime and yet they don’t do anything about it. Besides the security flaws, the food s*cks, the video arcade games s*ck, & the bowling facilities is falling apart! It just looks like they are suffering for money and are cutting back on everything. That place use to be so nice years ago.
The only good thing about the place was the bar & the bartender.
My recommendation is: Don’t go
Please please tell all of your friends. Marie Raymus only listens to money and when the money runs out she may then improve the place.
Customer service is the only way you get repeating customers. We & our extended family will never go back there again.

They never answer their phone. Their website says they’re open 7 days, wrong they’re closed on Monday.
They don’t return calls.
Poorly run and organized business.

Are they still open???????? No one ever answers the phone–not very good business, not customer friendly to say the least.

Manteca Bowling alley the Strike Zone is my dream
come true to work for.

Comment Date: 2/20/2009 Name: concerned bowler
There is a rumor going around that they are closing down the bowling alley on mondays. This may be good for they can take the savings and put the place back to the way it was when Mr Ramous was alive. He had some great ideas and they would have been completed is he had not passed away. He is rolling in his grave the way they are letting it run down. They have no interest inmaking the house a great place sa it could be with good management. But that is to much to ask. Maybe if someone could buy the bowl or the kids take manage of it, it could be a great entertainment.

I thought it was a nice bowling alley at first but I was wrong it is not a nice bowling.
There is only four nice people that work at the
Strike Zone International Bowling alley.

Everyone in the area knows not to go to Strike Zone in Manteca. Everyone I know would rather go out of their way to Stockton or Modesto.

Comment Date: 11/23/2008 Name: Jewel
my husband and I took our kids there today … after reading all the comments here, i don’t feel all alone after all. When my daughter and I went up to place an order, there were 2 girls there just ignored us and kept talking about their hair and what hair products they use and how much they cost. Plain RUDE. When our order was called to be picked up, the other girl (fake blonde) was on her phone, texting or what not … didn’t even give us plates for the pizza or anything! Worst service by far!! Where do they find these people?!! After our game, I went to the front desk to return the shoes, the person just took the shoes from my hands and started spraying on them right in front of me … and gave me our own shoes, not even a “thank you , come again” or whatever! My kids are starting to like bowling and I know I will taking them there again but man, can’t they be a little bit nicer and attentive to their customers?

I have to say that MB&FFC; (Manteca Bowl and Family Fun Center) has totally let me down. When it first opened I could not get enough of how amazing the potential of that bowling alley had and how sweet it looked. There were projected TV screens hanging from the lanes so u could watch the game, there were couches and TV’s and even a BOX RING inside the bar, and the best of all Mrs. Ramus and Anita where not running the joint. Well the glory days have passed and i can not stress how poorly the bowling alley has been run and how fast it looks like its gonna go out of business. I even heard that the PBA was suppose to come down on tour there but the owners didn’t want to fork up the money. HOW DUMB CAN U BE!!! The biggest problem i have with the bowl is the amount of talent they are throwing away from the Bowler’s Connection Pro shop. Do they really have no idea who the owners are? Rod and Teresa Ross are two of the biggest names in the bowling industry in the entire US. If u don’t believe me then u could just watch the Olympics because they are the coaches of jr. team USA. This place had so much going for it and could have been the top spot for all bowlers around the world but instead they gave Mrs. Ramus and Anita the power to screw up the joint. (Heavy Sigh) I’m just a league bowler who has bowled there a few times but when the pro shops leaves, so will I.

I work at a bowling center in Southern Ca. Just thought I’d say something. We watch people try to see how close they can get to hitting the pin rack, without hitting it. Happens all the time. Then when they do hit it, we go down and tell them if that happens again, their gone, and they say it’s your equipment malfunctioning. Granted that happens occassionally, but not often. In a league of 16 teams, 4 on a team, that is 192 games. And no rack hits. Then in comes the open bowlers who couldn’t care less about the eqipment getting damaged, and they take aim. And of course they say we have a bad attitude when we say something to them about damageing our equipment. We see this all the time.

I went there on Wednesday, during Spring Break. Adam, who was working at the front desk was unprofessional, unpersonable, lacked customer service skills and was plain rude. When I was setting up our game, I needed assitance and hit the intercom button, to which he replied, “come to the front desk”, without even listening to my question first. I have been there many time and although I may consider going again, I don’t look forward to seeing that rude little punk. Even my niece and nephew thought he was rude…he didn’t even say “you’re welcome” to my nephew when my nephew thanked him for returning his tennis shoe. What a jerk.

Comment Date: 1/12/2008 Name: Tim
The machines reset twice right when the ball was thrown, causing it to bounce off the gate. After the second time in 45 minutes, an employee came up and courteously asked us if there was something wrong. No, just kidding, he said he’d kick us all out if it happened again. When we explained that it was their equipment, he threatened to call security. We spent over $100 for the family to bowl there, and we won’t be spending another dime there.

Overall, the experience at the bowling alley was very fun… by the way, this one girl at the front desk is pretty cute, if I ever get hired there, I’d help her oil up something ELSE after I’d be done oiling up the lanes ;D

Tonight was to be a night of family fun as we celebrated our 3rd child’s 14th birthday. Our family of seven enjoyed bowling while on a summer vacation so my daughter suggested a night of bowling at our local bowling center. We thought it was a great idea especially since it is advertised as a Family oriented bowling center. This would have been our first time at our newly adopted city’s fine family bowling center.
Unfortunately, we chose the wrong time and day to come celebrate our daughter’s birthday with a night of bowling, pizza and ice cream.
We have never been made to feel so unwelcome from the moment we stepped up to the main desk to pay for our games and shoe. The desk was manned by a few young people and an older lady. The older lady seemed to be the one in charge. This lady stated when I inquired about purchasing a open bowling and children’s bowling that there was a league coming at 8. That’s fine, I thought, but at 6:30 in the evening what does that have to do with my wanting to purchase family bowling time in a 48 lane bowling alley? Honestly I felt like we were really putting her out by asking if we could purchase a couple games (bumper bowl included) and bowl until 8. The less than stellar customer service continued as we ordered our pizza. I would say the only good customer service we received was from the bartender. He was polite, thanked me and even smiled.
With the exception of the bartender, we have never felt so unwelcome in a “family bowling center”. I can try to understand and appreciate that we had the misfortune of choosing league night to come bowling but:
a. we were there an hour and half before the start of the league and we left twenty minutes before the league even started.
b. less than one-third of your 48 lanes were in use at the time we were in your “family-friendly” establishment.
So what was to be a an enjoyable and hopefully memorable night as we celebrated our daughter’s birthday was less than so. Will we be back?
Not likely.

It’s a great place for the whole family. Their Pee wee league is great, but they need to keep up on their scores on League Secretary.

I bowl practice games at Strike Zone several times a week. It’s easy to have good customer service at the bowling desk. But I have to say that that the food is great. Looks like there are a few new employees at the snack bar, and they are doing great. I watched as the assistant manager was training a couple of employees, and there was a lot of good common sense, and customer service skills he was trying to teach them. Finnaly it looks like some things are turning around there. – Weekly Customer

The bowling is fun, especially when the lanes are, I guess you would say, oiled correctly, or taken care of correctly. The food is good, especially when the short blonde guy cooks, and the customer service on both the front desk and food court need work.

Comment Date: 3/16/2007 Name: Anthony Engel
Reading all the comments I can only agree to one..and that is the Food Court service is very unprofessional. Maybe thats why they never have tips in their, ‘tip’ jar. Other than that, the front desk and pro shop staff are very nice and helpful. Games are the normal price of 3.50. The only thing I wish they did was hourly bowling. Oh, and watch out on the weekends…they say they oil the lanes heavy+ because of all the traffic they get on Friday and Saturday.

I have to say that I enjoy bowling at Strikezone. First of all it is very clean and the service was very polite. I also needed a hand with the batting cages and the gave me a free game for my children. Lastly they helped clean the table up for us and kept these bad behaving little teenagers next to us in line when I asked for help. I asked because they were throwing 2 balls at a time and just goofing off. The gentlmen behind the desk took care of that.

Comment Date: 1/23/2006 Name: Sue
It is a nice clean place to bowl, but when an employee accuses my child of lieing then I don’t care for the place. My children were in the game area and had token trouble with a machine and the man accused them of telling him a lie and we tried to explain that they were not lieing to him but he said they were. Also the people in the food area are very rude and need to show some respect for the customer. The bowling was good and we enjoyed that but everything else well let’s say not so good.

Comment Date: 1/7/2006 Name: jake
Strike zone is a great place to have fun. Its prices are reasonable. But the service is horrible. West Valley Bowl in Tracy contains a more bowling atmosphere. With great customer service.

I wish that the fun stuff that went on last year before they closed would start back up. It seems that the stuff they do now is amateur compared to the old stuff.

My family and I have really enjoyed the Strike Zone in Manteca. I was sorry to hear that they closed temporarily and thrilled when they re-opened. We have never had anything less than excellent service and a ton of fun.

I would just like to say that as a former employee of Stike Zone International…they are a horrible company…they have just recently laid off over sixty workers with less than a 24hrs notice..not only to they treat the employees with the utmost disrespect but they treat customers with disgusting service…trust me – don’t waste your time with this horrible place …go to Modesto Bowl on McHenry …their a lot cheaper and customer service is awsome..!!!
