For Eric 3/5/2014. The bottom line for these companies is in fact the bottom line. They could care less about you or your child. They're going to operate in the manner that creates the most revenu and profit. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about. If that means ejecting you and your child, that's the collateral damage. They're going to run and operate lanes with the highest paying customers. When shelling out your monies, consider other bussiness, not this one or their other locations.

|Parenting is simultaneously the most rewarding and heartbreaking experience a person can go through. Some days are amazing. Some days are a mix. On some days, you see the reality of a cruel world crush your children, and you die inside just a little, because there’s nothing you can do to recapture that innocence.
Annapolis Bowl denied service to my 5-year-old and me. I visited Tuesday, March 6, around 6:00 p.m. to take my son bowling as a reward for doing well in school. While three-quarters of the lanes were open, leagues were in maybe the 1st 1/4 of the alley, the man behind the counter said “You’re in the middle of leagues. Your child would need a ramp to get the ball down the lanes, and that would be distracting.”
I stared at the guy for a minute. My son and I have been bowling together for a long time. I’ve never, ever heard this.
In the meantime, my son went down to check out an empty lane behind us.
“And your kid can’t be doing that,” said the older gentleman behind the counter, pointing over my shoulder.
My son was putting his foot on the lane floor, which he shouldn’t have done, but I called him, corrected him, and he apologized. I was distracted, so that was my fault. I also apologized.
The employee then said “I’m going to have to ask you to leave. We will not be serving you tonight. You can come back some other time.”
Seriously, I got kicked out of a bowling alley because I have a child?
“I’m going to have to ask you to leave. We will not be serving you tonight. ”
I turned his words over in my mind. I didn’t know what to say. Beyond being kicked out of the bowling alley, I somehow couldn’t make the connection between what I had just heard, and “come back some other time.” I will assume he was joking.
I was just trying to go out and have some fun with my child, who is very well-behaved. Again, bowling was supposed to be a reward for doing a great job at a new school. I had to explain to my 5-year-old son we were kicked out of the bowling alley because they didn’t want him to bowl there. He got his first taste of how unfair people can be. It broke my heart. You spend your entire life shielding your children from the world’s cruelty, and it smacks you when you least expect it- at 6:00 p.m. on a Tuesday.
It was our first visit to the alley- we just moved to Annapolis. Annapolis Bowl would have made long-term, frequent customers out of us, our friends, and the social organizations we belong to, but the way they treated us can’t be tolerated. I will never forget the look on my son’s face when we had to leave, and I encourage other parents to consider what these people might do to your family before considering bowling there. As parents, we should wholeheartedly support those businesses that treat us and our business with respect- not those that make us feel terrible for having children.
Severna Park bowling was quite happy to get our business. We salvaged a great night of fun, learning duck-pin bowling, eating a big soft pretzel and having a great time together. Annapolis Bowl was correct, though- we were distracting. The family in the next lane leaned over to tell me what a good kid I had.

The managers and owners have a friendship with a former Anne Arundel County Executive. That's probably who was seen in the parking lot doing the deeds. They would let him park in the parking lot and take care of "business".

I want to thank Annapolis Bowl for use of the parking lot over the past couple of years. Additionally I gave you guys some free press and plugs and even showed your place on the news. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to spend there in the near future. Thanks again guys!

If you average 190 at Crofton you will average 205 at Annapolis. Not that it is easy, but if you hit the pocket well you will NOT leave the dreaded 10 pin that Crofton sets u up for. Did see a b-job in parking lot also one time......

In the parking lot I saw two nude women (probably drunk) hugging each other full on. I tried to ignore but then they started walking towards me. I immediately got in the car and drove away. There goes my special bowling night :(

|I showed up sat night to take my daughter and her 2 friends bowling. Parked in the front row near doors, got out of my car and saw a woman performing a lewd sex act on a man in a car right next to us. I was mortified. Ran inside with kids. We started bowling. next thing i know the man and woman I just witnessed in parking lot are now inside and actually employees that are now working. So gross!!

Gruin is a twerp. He cant even average 200 at Crofton. Also, Barbara with the tremendous legs at Southdale bowls here. She gets a crowd even with her old man there!!!

Annapolis Bowl is one of our favorite bowling centers. The lanes are great and there is never any problems with the equipment plus the bowl is always clean. Many of the staff have been there a long time and their pride in the place really shows. We always enjoy our visits and have never had a bad experience. Don't praise busineeses normally but this place desrves it.

You gotta love Annapolis Bowl! There is always a lane available and the staff is always helpful. My only complaint is the bar staff ladies who love get really snippy (I'm 25 but do look slightly younger). I have to send the gentleman up because they are treated much better than the ladies. Be nice you work for tips!

The new manager is doing a great job. The staff has stayed intact and they really do run a nice place. Only one minor complaint, they need to have a better selection at the Snack Bar.The food is great but not much choice.

I disagree with most of the comments about the food service; the food is always HOT and fresh. The waiting itself may or may not be the case depending on the times or league bowlers. I dislike to female bar maid (server), she has an arrogant about serving Annapolis customers (other then her inner circle of friends) and shows it off very well. I would welcome the owners/management to drop in on any league night to see her in action.

Overall the bowling alley is quite nice. There is always almost an open lane and the staff are fun and easy to get along with. There is always a large selection of bowling balls for the varying customers. Really the only downside to the alley is its food center. Most of the food staff, are arrogant, slow and never wait on the people standing in line. One instance i waited ten minutes as the first person in line as the employees talked to one another. Ive only had a few experiences when the soda was horrible becasue of improper mixing, but other than that the food is the same at any other bowling alley.
