|The "proud owner" essay was written by me, Tim's wife. I sleep well at night knowing all I wrote was the truth. And I am not going to sink to your level and say anything disparaging against you. I just find it interesting that you even take time to comment on the place at all. I fail to understand why you walk through the door if you are that repulsed by everyone and everything in it. But I'll be sure and tell Doc you mentioned him next time he's in for lunch.|

|Successful fundraisers? You chased one of your biggest fundraisers of the year right out the door! I wonder what Dr Powell would say about that.|

|Sterk, seriously, are you kidding us? We all know you and know you are trying to run this place into the ground. It is dirty, old, disguting. and I am not even talking about employees. I don't have time to talk abouthow lazy and rude they are. Oh yeah, do you know some of them are robbing you blind, right in front of your "security cameras"??
PEOPLE--Go somewhere else, you don't want to get yelled at if the owner is there.|

|As tempting as it is for readers of this site to doubt the trustworthiness of these two dissatisfied gentlemen, allow me to pipe in as the "perpitrator" of the Romper Room Meets Pee Wee's Playhouse "decour" and co-owner of this establishment. Hm, John Doe, do you think if you had bowled at a place that looked like SESAME STREET, you may have learned how to spell?
For almost 12 years, we have constantly strived to painstakingly and lovingly refurbish this almost 60 year old neighborhood gathering place. It looks NOTHING like the dark dungeon it once did. We added a beautifully landscaped beer garden, gutted the entire bowling center and recarpeted, repainted, and rebuilt old equipment, and added expensive automatic scoring.
I personally spend a ridiculous amount of hours decorating for every holiday. Christmas alone takes 45 hours to do the whole property. Sorry all my work did not meet your apparent high standards on that particular day.
As for the "gauge" in your bowling ball, I had no idea those things came down the ball return. Why didn't you just keep it in your car to check the air in your tires? Oh, wait, unless you meant GOUGE. Funny, I am still bowling with the same ball I used for the past 28 years. And it has the countless nicks I got at Miami Bowl decades ago. I once even got a chip IN the thumb hole there. Of course the internet was not around back then so I had no way to advertise to the rest of the world how horrible Miami was. I would not have been that rude anyway, because Miami was a nice, bright, old bowling alley with beautiful wood lanes that were a treat to bowl on. If the oil was a bit too much right after the lanes were done, you grabbed your towel and wiped it off. Bleekers is just like that. A great old neighborhood bowling alley with a cozy friendly bar attached that is owned not by a corporation but by a couple who break their backs to try to keep customers happy. A full league schedule prohibits a lot of time for open bowling and no, we don't have fancy expensive cosmic special effects. But we manage to attract many organizations who hold very successful fundraisers and candlelights here. And our prices are the same or cheaper than other lanes in the area. Check if you don't believe me.
I am sorry you two had bad experiences at Bleekers. Enjoy bowling elsewhere. And I hope neither of you ever strive so hard at your life's work only to see it trashed in some nasty reviews on the internet.|

|Dirty, Filthy ugly bowling center. It's decour is a mix between romper room and Pee Wees playhouse. At four dollars and fifty cents a line, you may be broke in a year if you deside to practice here. You'll be lucky if you escape the house without a gauge in your bowling ball. One three game set and you're bowling ball will be covered in filth, and it'll look like it's been through hell. Don't waste your money here, trust me.|

|One of the worst bowling centers around the area. The equipment has to be updated. It gave me the score on some frames. |
