|A large house-- 54 lanes. Aurora (the second largest city in Illinois) has only one other center, that is St Paul's (8 lanes). Parkside has something of a monopoly since next closest large house is about fifteen miles. Several high schools in the area have it as their home field... so you can end up being either the "away" team or "home" team and still be at the same house. Parkside used to run some good specials especially on Sunday nights, but now not so "special". After AMF Valley Lanes closed in North Aurora, much of its business went to Parkside. So prices have risen considerably on open bowling if you can get lanes. If you are a serious bowler and attempt to get a pair of lanes to practice crossing over lanes, lots of luck, you probably won't get it. This place is now really busy all the time. The food is pretty much typical bowling center, at one time the pizzas were excellent; I don't know now. Staff can very greatly as to friendliness. I haven't actually bowled here since last June, but friends say that they have been experiencing lane breakdowns more frequently with the heavier use lately. The pro shop guy really wants to market/promote much more than the current management.
