|Your right. I should, but I'm not the one who lost an entire team too bureaucracy. instead of focusing on the problem, you attack this individual's grammer. Smart. If there was an award for idiocy, it would go to the last post. Titled: "#winning." let's get this right : "You called me." I showed up, and you shut the door in my face. yup perfect customer relations right there. Isabel was the only one concerned about it. I haven't been back since. I used to bowl there everyday. I'm sorry for people who do. They shouldn't be treated the way I was treated. its unforgivable. and not right.|

|With respect to Sandy,, Isabel, and Randi. Thank You so much for the many phone calls soliciting me in for another season of the B.O.B. League. And thank you for not finding me a spot on a team this season. I know you guys will look over this, which is fine. I live in Upland. I Bowl at centers all over Southern California. You failed to retain me as a bowler. As a businessman and owner. I would be concerned over loosing a customer. I left really mad tonight. but I'm not mad about not being placed on a Team, I'm mad at the fact you guys called me to come in; because I had been on the league before. My fuel and good faith efforts. waisted on what is suppose to be a fun night of bowling.. All the reasons I Bowl at Arlington Lanes. It's Fun without the BS|

|They need new machines. or ones that don't break down. I had to buy two new bowling balls, because of the centers crappy machinery. All centers have there issues. This one doesn't record your season end league averages to USBC.|

|Went there on a sat night. was kinda pricey and the lanes kept breaking down. But they did add more time to the lane. It was very dirty however, I think we went after a kids party so they left it trashy. But other than that it wasnt to bad. Ill be back on a less crowded night|

|I just recently returned to bowling after a 6 year hiatus and the league i bowl in at Upland Bowl is both fun and friendly, but the best thing about the league is bowling 24 weeks as opposed to 33! Also the staff is cool. there are a few single and duo spots available on Thursday at 6:30, so come join the fun!|

|I recently moved to the 9o9. My old work crew and I used to bowl at friendly hills in Whittier, The name pretty much said it all, staff is beyond excellent, machines work. I have nothing bad to say about them. Every time we went, it was a great experience. Itís unfortunate that I canít say the same about the upland bowling alley. I do agree with the other post about horrible service.Even the league bowlers can't say anything good about this place. Some of us believe we work for our money not play around and lollygag, or be rude to customers. The mechanicís comments show it all, you are there to do a JOB, not to smart off to customers voicing an opinion!! If you canít handle it, or are rude to the paying customers, the owner/owners should seriously consider hiring a new work crew. After all it is the customers that are paying for a service and Yes this does pay youíre wages. If Mgrs did the job they where being paid for, no one would have anything bad to say. I myself supervise at a shipping dept and if I ever heard my staff not working, having friends over, and being rude to customers, I more than guarantee you They wouldnít be working for our company anymore. Thatís what supervisors do! All of us at work will drive from the I.E. to Friendly Hills on a weekly basis to bowl. |

|I see a lot of complaining about the machines and lanes being messed up. if anyone out there thinks they can solve these problems better than me, I welcome the challenge. Good Luck!!!|

|I been to this bowling alley one too many times, the service is awfull, I took my little girl and saw the Mgr Randi hanging out kissing her girlfriend. Yes I asked her to stop as my daugther starting asking questions about why 2 females would kiss like that. my daugther is only 6 , as a manager she should have never done that. and her girlfriend was Rude and horrible attitude, saying I get to do what I want when I'm dating the Manager.. Poor service. Will never come here again.|

|I agree with the Ball Damage, but you must note that happens at every bowling center that has older pinsetters. But I have to admit I have never had or seen an issue with a Ball not getting repaired or replaced. There are very good at handling this issue. Just ask for the Manager Brunswick has always been good at taking care of this. |

|I agree with the last hree comments, prices are good right now, u should never have to pay over 10 bucks for 3 games and some shoes nowadays, but the facility is is need of repair, just last week our lane through my ball out the back and chipped the hell out of it. its been more than i week and still no ball fix. the pinsetters and lanes need repair badly.|

|Not sure what you are talking about but I bowl on Tuesdays, and a new house record of 877 was shot, also there was 800+ series shot in the same night. Seems things are great at Upland!|

|The dumb a** that run the place s*ck. The lanes are never oiled properly because they dont know how to work the machine and are too stupid to let it warm up first so the first 6 lanes are always dry. Their drinks are made with a measuring pour spout so are always weak. The food is horrible, even the pizza isnt properly cooked. The monitors are all broken, the pin setters are in serious need of repair. And they keep increasing the league game fees every year while everything else goes down hill.|

|The proprietor of this house refuses to upgrade the equipment. Balls gouged and getting stuck, the touchscreens not working or completely off. I suppose he pays himself a nice bonus from the money the leagues bring in.|

|I bowl here with my family every week. We tried to go on New Years Eve but they were full. So I went down the street to Rancho Cucamonga Deer Creek and got a lane their. The price was higher but they had pasta food and great prizes we had a blast. We had a great time and the staff was great. Our family now wants to go to Rancho Cucamonga bowl.|

|I bowl on a league here every week for the last past 2 years. Our team always has a good time, so I thought I would set up a company holiday party here. I tried to book a party here but I couldn't get anyones help or to call me. So I had to go to another bowling center. I guess bowling parties aren't their cup of tea.|

|The Manager there is hot! Is he married? He has a cute smile- and seems really nice!
The place is bright- like the neon lighting things|
|Comment Date: 3/28/2007 Name: Bowl man|
|I think things at this center are fine. If the lanes are bad one day you should be able to use your skill to adapt and hit your shot. The team you're bowling against has the same disadvantage. If youre wondering why your ball is getting damaged, its becuase your throwing it.|

|Pro shop: Joe Staton, the owner, is completely knowledgeable. I have a high average and always go to Joe for my equipment. He listens to my concerns and picks the right stuff for me.
Lanes: I love the new oil pattern, and I'm left-handed. It is no fun that the new bowling ball technologies have made more oil necessary, which isn't really fair to people whose old equipment isn't made for that condition; but that's the way things are nowadays. This condition helps you be ready for Vegas or anywhere else you might bowl.
On the other hand, the ball returns are a joke. They consistently and deeply scratch bowling balls.
Bowling areas/approaches: They don't seem to clean up after the afternoon kids have trashed the area. I've found gum on the approach more than once. They need to pay clean up for their league bowlers.
Staff: They yell into the microphone, which occasionally ruins someone's shot if they happen to be in the middle of their delivery. If you ask them to make a change because the scoring machines have messed up, they can't seem to figure it out.
The league coordinators are very friendly, though.
I feel that my league is treated as open bowlers and largely without the respect we should have as a regular source of income for the house.|

|I was suprized to see the Lanes starting out great this winter league season (2006-2007) and then the management decided to change the oil pattern and keep them soaked.
They now oil the lane to heavy and oil from gutter to gutter instead of leaving the 5 board out alone.
The oil was very heavy and gutter to gutter during the 55 senior league this past wed. 2/21 at 1:00 pm that I went home after hurting my back trying to bowl the increased angle.
Normally the lanes are dryer during the day.
I believe the manager made oil machine adjustments just to piss off the hook bowlers and lower the high games to get out of buying anymore prizes. The over oiling really screws the left hander here and is stuck with the oil night long.
The Day Manager has been asked stop this crap and to change the lanes back to the way they were, but has chosen to ignor us.
The guy that runs the oil machine does not make the adjustments to it. It is the people above him that do that.
I thought that Upland bowl had made some good changes to the lane conditions after taking a year off and bowl deer creek, but they screwed up the lanes once again and I will leave once again till the management hears that pop when they pull there heads out of there a**es.
Brunswick Upland Bowl really s*cks more now than in the past and that is really saying alot.
Good Pro Shop and that is all.|

|I've been bowling at upland bowl for 5 years now and West Covina Lanes. The differance are day and night between the two, with upland bowl at the low end. Bad lane conditions and dirty, poor food and food service. Leauge bowlers are not treated as steady customers they are given nothing for their loyality and are treated poorly. At West Covina Lanes you are treated like you are important you concerns are taken care of and the staff and management are sinply the best around Upland Bowl needs to go to West Covina Lanes and take some notes so they can get that place in order before they have to close because of lack of business!|

|Overall service has been better compared to these comments below... Decent Customer service... Need work on their food services, but not a horrible place to bowl as these other customers have made it out to be....|
|Comment Date: 4/6/2006 Name: Anonymous|
|Staff acts like they are doing you a favor by helping you or assigning you a lane. Staff unhelpful for the most part. Bar service is pretty good. The guy running the pro shop is a complete ass who doesn't know the first thing about customer service. I had to go all the way to Diamond Bar's Oak Hill lanes pro shop where I received excellent customer service!|

|Food Service is terrible, surprised nobody catches hepatitis. Thank heavens lanes are in clean when I bowl there.|

|Well I experienced Upland Bowl worked with the head mechanic, his attitude s*cked, his training s*cked, his customer service s*cked.. I guess that's why he got transferred, and the manager?? He only showed concern when there was food there. I don't work there any more because I didn't want any part of their b/s and I feel sorry for the younger people working there. By the way, I worked there for 1 year and I observed 100% turn over rate there. And as far as knowledge for lane condition, they know nothing... want a (expletive deleted) job? Work for Brunswick Corp. and become a manager. A fat 1|

|They are very poor in trying to make bowlers happy for what they pay for. They were rude, and very disrespectful. They were no good and I wouldn't go there again.

|I have been bowling for 6 years in a league, but not at the Brunswick Upland Bowl #121. So what I was going to say was the people behind the counter are very rude. My own bowling ball got caught in the ball return and let's just say that the ball looked like it was supposed to have big white stripes on it or should I say IN it. I got them to "fix" my bowling ball but they did a very poor job. And getting it back was another ordeal, I have never been so mad at a bowling alley like that. The guy who is the manger of the pro shop is unfriendly and lacks customer service skills.|

|Having bowled at Upland Bowl and having a son who is now 17 and started bowling there at the age of 7, I have to say that I agree with Toni Holguin (see comments below). It has gone DOWNHILL, and it continues to do so! My family lives very close to the center and we just drive past and laugh as we head off for an afternoon of fun! They really have taken the joy and the fun out of bowling...It's very, very sad. For being located in a city that is known for its pride and dignity, Brunswick Upland Bowl has neither!!|

|After bowling at this center since it opened I am totally disgusted by the lack of caring by the so-called managers. The bathrooms are ALWAYS dirty the staff couldn't care less about the bowlers. Brunswick does nothing special anymore for the league bowlers. After wasting so much money there I am now going stop bowling at Upland Bowl. Since your manager doesn't seem to care if we get upset why should I spend my money there? The sad thing is I used to say that Upland Bowl was the best place to bowl. Now my team and other teams want to stop bowling there. Your choice of managers is so poor that we have lost our love of the game. Good job Brunswick, we thank you for that.|
