I am a special Education for a local school. This summer during our ESY program wildlife lane graciously welcomed our class for a field trip. Not only were they able to give us a discounted rate but were very accomadating to all of our special needs students. Kudos to kind and well prepared staff.

This comment is to those of you who appreciate and value the hard work and care that has been put into the wildlife lanes. The owners are excellent people who care for their employees and their patrons. They are considerate and very concerned with the appearance and upkeep of the bowling alley, bar, and snack bar. The lanes are brand new, the televisions are unbelievable, the staff is informative and helpful, and you get great service. I have beena fan of wildlife lanes for over 11 years now, and have seen wonderful tranformations and progression. The owners are constantly working ot improve the center and will continue to do so. For those of you who feel the place is "warped" and "disgusting", you must like to complain. If you would have discussed your concerns with the owners like a mature adult, you would have received a more positive experience. I hope you all continue to enjoy the establishment and trust their is much more to look forward too!

Wildlife lanes is by far the best bowling center I have ever seen. The people that work there are always nice. The center has gone through a remodel and now it looks amazing. The lanes are nice and always clean. Mark keeps the center looking nice and is always great to the customers.

Wildlife Lanes has undergone a great transformation recently and they are continuing to improve the whole building. They have new synthetic lanes, new tables, new bathrooms and are putting in a new kitchen area. Mark and Nancy McCandless are wonderful people to work with and they treat the junior bowlers wonderfully. The instituted a scholarship program for the jr. bowlers last year. Look for a new website coming soon.

To the person that said it will always be Hiilcrest Lanes. Do us all a favor, don't come back. Secondly, if you succeed in purchasing Wildlife Lanes, which you won't. Kindly let us know, because if the current ownership is having it's worst day and you are having your best day, you still couldn't compete with them. Thirdly, type your comments when you aren't drunk so they are legible.

The people complaining about the workers being rude at Wildlife are ridiculous! If you think they are rude and unhelpful maybe itís how you are approaching them with the attitude that they should kiss your feet and thank you for their job because you are a league bowler one night a week!!! The women are always helpful and polite! Also for the lanes not being cleaned thatís another ridiculous statement! If you have ever gone there to throw off before the leagues start you will see them cleaning the lanes and vacuuming the floors all around the bowling area! If by chance there is dirt in the bowling areas tell them and they will come and clean the area, they canít have an alarm sound every time a speck of dirt falls on the floor!!! This is a great place to meet up with friends and work on your average every week without spending an arm and a leg!!!

It will allways allways be hillcrest lanes no matter who owns it. ive allways said ill buy that place someday, and im still ticking to it. what an aoutsanding place that was in the day. it was my 2nd home 1985-1995

I have been working at a country club the past 3 years and some of these comments sound like the rich old people that i have to deal with. They expect everything perfect for them or there so called league. This establishment does the best that it can to make it still affordable for families and groups. It should not be run to make the leagers there top priority.So you leagers can go to a country club and bowl where everything is made perfect for you or to some other establishment that will prbally close down in a few years because they are going above and beyond for you.

I started bowling on a Junior League at Wildlife Lanes when I was roughly the age of 7, and I excelled; I was one of the best to come out of there. I bowled my best games there and believe that Wildlife Lanes is much better than a few other alleys I had to visit for tournaments. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this alley, the management is amazing, I'm proof of that, they taught me everything I know.

Anyone who can find a better bowling center in the area needs to go their and not come back to Wildlife Lanes. The new owners have increased every aspect of this establishment to levels that it had never seen under previous management. The lanes are good, the management is agreeable, the food is OK and the bathrooms look like they could be in a design magazine. Like I said, if you find a better place, go there and don't come back. You can't be pleased.

I completely agree with the two comments below mine. While my name suggests, I am just a casual bowler, and will bowl possibly once a week with my friends. I have been to many other lanes other than wildlife, and none compare. The price, the establishment, and the services provided are all the best in the immediate area. I am fully satisfied with WildLife lanes, and I have no idea what anyones problem could be with it. Perhaps your blaming the "warped lanes" on your own game.

I forgot a couple of things. The ownership also had the heating and air conditioning systems overhauled and had a air cleaning system installed. Secondly, did you're "favorite" lanes close because the management was far superior to Wildlife Lanes management? Or, did they close because the management was so inept, they couldn't generate enough revenue to pay their rent?

I've been bowling at Wildlife Lanes, formerly Hillcrest Lanes since 1971. After these 2 absolutely ridiculous comments, i felt compelled to respond. I bowl in 2 leagues at this fine center. This center is 1,000% better since the current owners bought it 11 years ago. Under the current ownership, all of the pinsetters have been rebuilt with original parts. All of the ball returns have been rebuilt. The restrooms and and snack bar were completely rebuilt. The bar has been completely remodeled. This year, 5 high definition were installed in the bar. The lanes have benn sanded and refinished on several occasions. The last time being the week before the current season started. The center also has a person that comes in after it closes every night except Sunday night and cleans the center. This person cleans the bar, the restroooms. and the snack bar. He also vaccuums the concourse, wipes down the tables and scoring consoles, sweeps and mops and the settees, sweeps the approaches, and sweeps and mops the gutters on an as needed basis. How much more do you want? The staff at this center has never refused to help a customer. If they did, they wouldn't be employed at the center. The ownership never promised anybody at anytime new sythetic lanes. What they told the leagues was that they were looking into them for the future. Also, the owner has never at anytime refused to listen to a customer's concern or complaint. When i had a complaint a few years ago, we went in to his office and resolved it in a mature manner with no animosity. What the owner has refused to do is let customers abuse him and the employees of the center. When the current ownership took over 11 years ago, nobody gave him a chance. The center can get a loan from anywhere and anybody. But, because he cares about his customers, he is going to dictate the terms of the loan, not the banks. Why? Because the ownership is in such a favorable postion that they can afford to do so.

I have bowled in many leagues, on many different lanes, and Wildlife Lanes in Lower Burrell is BY FAR the WORST I've ever bowled. The lanes are warped and shoddy. The management also allows parties to go on the lanes used by leagues up until right before we bowl, and do absolutely no cleanup after them. We have had people fall on these lanes due to the dirt and grime on them after a party, because these people are too lazy to clean up the approaches after a bunch of kids have been on them. Also, the women at the desk are by far the most rude I have ever encountered in a bowling alley. Now, we hear that the owner himself thinks we league people are whiners, and he's no longer going to accomodate us? Well, good luck to you filling up your lanes all week long, if that's the case. The leagues are what keeps your establishment open! I'm sure you make some money from the Glow Bowlers, but I'm also quite sure that your leagues pay your bills, and the young people won't be there all week long, as we are. Maybe you should think before opening your mouths about things. The only reason half of the leagues you have are there, is because our favorite lanes closed not so long ago. Not by choice, as Wildlife was the last choice we had, and the only lanes with an opening. Hopefully we can find someplace new to bowl next year, so we don't have to deal with the rudeness and disrespect we've encountered here. Also, we came to these lanes thinking you were getting new synthetic lanes 2 years ago, and when we came to bowl, of course, there were none. Hope you can make enough money without leagues to get new ones, since you can't get a loan for new flooring. Thanks!

This center has some of the worst care taking of lanes and approches I have ever seen.Not only are they dirty but if you ask the attendent to help with the messy floor and approches she will not help, I seen people fall couse of the junk on the approches. This place has very rude people working there. Our league is voting now on moving someplace that cares about there league bowlers.Most places go out of there way to keep a league ...Not this place
