I thought I was going to pass out last night from the heat. It was horrible! Fix It!!!!

Comment Date: 4/13/2015 Name: Heather W.
Could air put the air conditioning on its rather hot in here. Thank you

Comment Date: 4/15/2014 Name: BBoyer
I am one of the co-owners. We know the identity of "tired of sweating." The air conditioning did not work because this "nudnik" pulled the service disconnect on the air conditioner. I wonder want his mother would think. What a guy.

Comment Date: 4/10/2014 Name: Tired of sweating
It must be the end of my winter league. It's 66 outside and 76 inside. You have that massive heater/air conditioner. Can you please set it at a proper temperature? Half the time we freeze in the winter and then spring hits and it's like a sauna in there. I won't bowl a summer league at Rama just for this reason. It's cooler on the softball field than they're willing to set the temperature in a bowling alley. See ya in the fall.

This was our third New Year's Eve here. We'll be back for a fourth. Great family friendly party. It's nice not to be overrun by drunkards when trying to enjoy New Years with children.

Comment Date: 12/29/2013 Name: Phil F.
Our family swore this place off some years ago. We live right up the street and were really unhappy with the overall depleting conditions and rude staff. Even the food in the bar went downhill. This place had taken a turn for the worst and wasn't the place I grew up in as a teenager. For a few years now, we'd been doing our bowling at another local bowling alley. We decided to try Bowl-O-Rama again after church today and I'm very happy. Things have definitely changed. Granted, there are still things that need to be improved, but it's definitely better than it was. The gentleman at the counter was pleasant and very helpful. The food from the bar was better than I remember in more recent years. We'll definitely be coming back. The $1.00 game special definitely makes it affordable for a family of five. Keep up the good work. We'll be back soon! -Phil

I took my children to Bowl-O-Rama today for the "Kids Day". All the kids had a great time. I also noticed several improvements there since my last visit and the house is looking good. Keep up the good work guys.

Let me start off by saying that I do not agree with J-Bear's comments about the allies. I bowl in the Monday Night Church League and the lanes are just fine. If J-Bear isn't satisfied then let him bowl elsewhere. I think the "New" manager is doing just fine. Haters are always going to hate!

Comment Date: 3/13/2013 Name: Thomas
Family fun! All the members of my party had a great time! Getting to the alley was also easy (we are from NJ). Great atmosphere. Our kids loved the arcade. Overall, we had a great experience. The staff was friendly and we would deffinately come back!

I love this bowling center... But do not buy a evening magic in the bowling bathroom it doesn't end well 9 months later!

Comment Date: 3/11/2013 Name: J-Bear
The Evening Magic machine ate my last two quarters and now my wife is pregnant.

Comment Date: 2/18/2013 Name: J-bear
Things here have become worse than ever. The lanes are drenched in more oil than my body at a Tai massage parlor ;p. If that wasn't bad enough, I go into the bathroom to buy some jimmies and the Midnight Magic machine eats my last two quarters. I am so done with this place.

Comment Date: 1/17/2013 Name: QB
I bowl on Monday nights and we haven't been moved all year. Much better than the last 10 years have been. There was one week where I couldn't get my ball to curve, but other than that I'm not displeased.

Comment Date: 1/8/2013 Name: J-Bear
Things here keep getting worse and worse. For the past 2 years the "new" GM kept promising the leauge bowlers things will get better but they haven't. For weeks 3 pairs of lanes were broken and can't even count how many weeks teams from our league got moved to a different set of lanes mid game. I know that next year a lot of teams will be moving to different bowling alley in the area. Good luck in the future.

A bunch of my friends and I came in for midnight bowling last Saturday. It's definitely much better than it used to be with the lasers and lights. If they had glow with black lights, we'd probably come here all the time instead of going to Colonial Berks Lanes. It's better but still not best.

Comment Date: 8/27/2012 Name: Smoove
Came here for a tornament Saturday. Better than anything we got at home. The lanes was good. Food was off tha chain! My granmammas ribs are not as good as this place. Those ribs and the smoking makaroni and cheese MMMM HMMM. Soul Food and bowling. Don't get any better. Thank you Bowlerama for a crazy fun day. It was nice be treated like a guest instead of customer. We gonna come back! Love your deck!

Brian, the new floor in front of the lanes looks fantastic. Looking forward to a great season

Wow is Bowl-o-Rama down to one janitor that no one was available to clean the place, even a soda spill. Times must be tough. I tell everyone to get to Berks lanes. They at least have shifts of janitors. I guess the counter help at BOR must now be janitor along with being puppets to the Boyer clan. Has David gotten a real job yet??? Maybe he can be the janitor and actually do something rather than just s*ck money from the place.

Comment Date: 1/24/2012 Name: happy somewhere else
Well all I hear is how this place changed!! Well one thing that didn't change and actually got worst is the customer service!!Anybody can put on a good act when Brooke is around and I guess that's what happen, for him to think its so much better and his employees are so good now. Brooke you welcome car tech well good for you..but how many bowlers left there? I'm sure its more then your welcoming from car tech. I think you should sell it to Al while its still worth something!!!

Just got home from a fun New Year's Eve night out with my husband and children. Thank you Bowl-O-Rama for providing a fmaily friendly environment on New Year's Eve. Loved your DJ!

Comment Date: 12/23/2011 Name: lefty
The desk was informed. We waited 5 minutes. Its ok a coach get it

Comment Date: 12/22/2011 Name: Brooke M. Boyer
Sorry Lefty. The janitor is out on Worker's comp and instead of crying on this site after the fact you should have informed the desk and someone would have taken care of the problem.

Comment Date: 12/20/2011 Name: Lefty
Well Brooke your far superior staff is lacking in customer service skills. Its a shame that the schools have to clean up soda in the sette area. Great customer service. Just admit this center would be better off with someone who knows how to run a business. Oh wait you do know how to run a business, Into the ground!

Comment Date: 11/11/2011 Name: Brooke M. Boyer
To anonymous 11/7/2011. Kindly spell my name correctly if you wish to pretend to know about my business affairs. The problems that did exist at BOR were the product of my years of neglect by the staff. Most of the major problems have been remedied by the new staff whose skills are far superior to the persons who were replaced. BOR remains a work in progress and will only get better in the years ahead.

Comment Date: 11/7/2011 Name: Anonymous
No matter who you put in the general manager position at BOR they will always be the puppet to Brook and David. Years ago Brook and David didn't do anything on the bowling end at the center and when they took over they took away everything their parents built and the parents actually knew something about bowling. Ask Brook and David about their bowling experience. How many leagues has David bowled in. How many bowling properitor meetings have they attended. They didn't even have the sense to have Lou sign a no compete clause. Best of Luck to Lou. At least his manager now has a bowling past and knows the bowling business and puts money back into the business and not as much in his pocket.

which product are you referring too?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The BOR product is definitely improved and speaks for itself.

So you are now happy they fired Troy, Lou and Bill? Is this new guy that good?

Comment Date: 9/22/2011 Name: BK
Apology accepted, Anonymous. We are striving hard to bring Bowl-O-Rama back to what it was in it's prime. We're happy that you are pleased with the new changes and optimistic about the future. Best of luck to you this season!

Comment Date: 9/21/2011 Name: Anonymous
I am posting this because I'm optimistic and I feel that I owe Bowl-O-Rama an apology. I posted here before and said how unhappy I was with this alley and the owners decision to fire Troy, Lou and Bill. I am three or four weeks into my league fo r this year and it's nice to see that things are looking up and changes are being made. Thank you Bowl-O-Rama for making an effort and I apologize for the harsh words.

I will also echo Mr Boyer's post. Welcome back Car Tech!

Comment Date: 8/18/2011 Name: BK
Hey Joe! I told you that you could have those back. I don't think you want to eat them though. They're a tad out of date. Sorry I had to send them by courier. I'm not sure when the schedule would allow me to make it down that way. Enjoy the good humour and thanks again for all the fun we had down there! BK

The new GM is greatly talk about but how many centers has he been at so far! THE REPORT CARD ISN'T SO GOOD.

Comment Date: 8/5/2011 Name: BK
I'm not worried about the past of Rama. I'm here to try and create a future for the bowlers and the center. I will do the best with what I have.

Comment Date: 8/4/2011 Name: Anonymous
Brians a great guy but the ownership well mise well say sole owner has already hurt the place to much and will never get the business back that they once had!

Comment Date: 8/4/2011 Name: where's the ()====>
blah blah blah hearing the same crap and one guy is NOT going to change it cause sooner or later his hands will be tired-just like Lou's were with the owners. Only doing stuff since Lou left to make it look like Lou didn't try for his customers! From what I'm seeing and hearing Heister's is booming pretty good since Lou is out there so if he was that bad of guy why did everybody follow him? I can't imagine what the BOYER'S father/uncle would say if they were around. Marty wasn't afraid to put money in the place specially if he knew it was for the bowlers.

Comment Date: 8/3/2011 Name: Lifer
I've been a bowler at this facility from the beginning. I have watched the bowling alley rise and fall in my lifetime. So many changes over the last year have given many of us an unstable or uneasy feeling. Some of these feelings even turned to anger toward the board. I feel that is about to change. Another lifelong bowler at Bowl-0-Rama and myself had the opportunity to sit down with the new manager yesterday. We have both agreed that the board of Bowl-O-Rama made a good decision by bringing this young man onboard. He is a firm believer in promoting the sport and giving back to the bowlers...especially to our seniors. I have always supported the entire board on their decisions, except for the firing of Lou. He is a friend of mine, but what's done is done and there wasn't anything myself or anyone else could do to stop it. I want Bowl-O-Rama to rise again and be what it used to be when I was a young man.

Comment Date: 7/21/2011 Name: lefty
Boyer why don't you just sell it before you put it TOTAL into the ground.Let someone who cares about the whole business not just the bar!take over

I will not bowl at a center where you can be verbally and physically assaulted by head lane mechanic and the owners and staff do nothing about it

Comment Date: 4/26/2011 Name: league bowler
Your right, Had enough going to Blue Ball Lanes next year.

Comment Date: 4/23/2011 Name: League bowler
Will not be there next year too much ball damage and the mechanic has a bad attitude and language so I will spend my money some where else food was good

Comment Date: 4/23/2011 Name: Mickey Mouse
The name this bowling center should be using. Check the web site under new management haha thats a joke actually it should be under ground. Want to get cussed at then talk to the lane mechanic want damaged equipment then bowl here. This place has no future.

Comment Date: 4/19/2011 Name: bowler

Comment Date: 4/16/2011 Name: Anonymous
Well as of Monday under new management AGAIN!

Comment Date: 3/29/2011 Name: Anonymous
So what is next Bowl-O-Rama? I for one will not join a league there again. My child and several friends will not be back next year. I am also very disapointed in your new "Manager". He was openly bad mouthing the old maanger. I don't beleive that is good for business. I guess the plan to run the business into the ground is working.

Comment Date: 3/14/2011 Name: once happy here
WOW its getting worst instead of better here. They just left Lou go and he's been there 34 years. How do you expect to run a 40 lane house with just 5 front employee's? customer service is not an option here!! Lou might not of been the nicest guy all the time but he knew the business-

Comment Date: 12/10/2010 Name: Anonymous
Place is getting worse day by day from what i hear this center is a joke wait till the new bowling center opens in Berks County that will be the demise for sure of the once striving bowling center

Comment Date: 11/11/2010 Name: Anonymous
From what I hear the person who wrote on this wall back in September knew what they were talking about. Just hope its not totally too late to make some big time changes to keep your bowlers. What might help there is asking some of your past employees back- they all know the business and the customers.BUT who knows maybe they are employed somewhere else-and being treated better!

Comment Date: 10/28/2010 Name: Anonymous
Troy is not Employed at Heisters just so everyone knows

Comment Date: 10/14/2010 Name: Anonymous

Comment Date: 9/29/2010 Name: Anonymous
Cant believe you got rid of the counter workers that knew the customers. Both been there as long as I have been bowling there-it's been 15+ years. Just not the same.

Comment Date: 9/11/2010 Name: Lefty
First day of Jr league. Not to bad other then the 4 empty picthers of beer sitting out from last nite.

Comment Date: 9/8/2010 Name: Anonymous
Brooke hope you open your eyes soon- the guy in the pro shop already took so many people over the coals and now he's raking you too.Your worried about the money well just think how much you already gave him!! and what did you get so far?

Comment Date: 8/22/2010 Name: Anonymous
Trying to do what? Lose your customers? Your doing a great job of it. My team and I are bowling a Jay Lanes this year. It's a little to late to make changes. Place has looked like a dump for years. And for the deck? Just what I'd want to do. Eat on the deck and see that pothole infested parking lot and the traffic on 422.

Comment Date: 7/20/2010 Name: Brooke M. Boyer, owner
#We are trying. New deck for grille is currently being built. Bowling ball manufacturers demonstrations in August,2010. New gutters and capping for lanes one through 16; the other lanes to follow.

Comment Date: 6/9/2010 Name: Anonymous
Here they go again. If you like coke or pepsi this isn't the place for you. Just got rid of coke, pepsi has been gone for years. They are charging the same price for an off name. The ownership was be in another "world". Do you think your CUSTOMERS are that stupid. This is all about the all mighty dollar. I will be taking my almighty dollar else where and will take my team with me.

Comment Date: 5/29/2010 Name: Anonymous
Not sure what is up with this place?! Hear Bill left due to ownerships lack of respect for it custmers. Making BAD business moves. Bowlers are really getting upset. Guess time will tell. Hope I they are still open come the fall season.

Comment Date: 3/7/2009 Name: Bowl4Dollas
Place getting better. Still an honest shot with skill needed to score. People dont want to bowl there cause it will show they not that good. Long hair mechanic troy I think. is the real person keeping that place going. manager lost touch with bowlers

Comment Date: 8/19/2008 Name: leftieplaying5
rama is an alley that just needs a little pick-me-up. the shot is inconsistant and the snack bar s*cks. if the big guy that works during the day that has a beard is bill, he is cool.

Comment Date: 8/6/2008 Name: HiRevPlayer
Bowl-O-Rama is an OK place to bowl. A little dingy and dark, but not the worst place I've been to. I know Bill at Bowl-O-Rama, he is an OK guy with a lot of bowling knowledge stuck in a place with no place to go. The manager does not let the best in Bill come out. Bill seems like a know-it-all because he does know a lot about the bowling industry, and he does more than his share in the area for youth bowlers. My son took a few private lessons with him some years ago, and he would not accept a penny for his time. Find another person that will do that. If you knew what I did, you would not talk bad about him. Next time sign your real name instead of anonymous.

Comment Date: 12/1/2007 Name: An HONEST bowler...
This place, while not terrible, looks a little run-down overall. It's not the most appealing by any means. I don't care much for the lanes, as the shot seems very inconsistent over a short time period. And as far as anyone praising Bill...you must be pretty close to him as a friend, because he's shown me no signs of even wanting to be there, let alone help fix anything that went wrong. I would call this place a last resort, if there's no other centers in the area that are available.

Comment Date: 11/1/2007 Name: Christina trate
what i love about rama is that they show you how fast you are throwing your ball n when you bowl at night they have the little pictures that come up when you get a gutter or strike or pins eventhough they can be annoying but if you want a good time go bowling at Bowl-O-Rama!!!!!!!!

Comment Date: 8/15/2007 Name: jeremy
The very pretty young female mechanic, yes mechanic, Lee is the reason to come here. She's not only good to look at, she is a damn good mechanic.
