My wife picked up Perch fish Fri. 10 min. later cuz we live 3 blocks away. She is complaining about chewy dry perch (11.00per) i am eating fries and coleslaw. I try the fish and my teeth hurt eating it!!! Wrong! i go back to let them try again and the bartender hands my dish to the kitchen then ignores me!! I had to flag her down and convince her I would like a cocktail while I wait. The replacement perch($11.00 arrives and i try it its the same dry chewy crap. The patron next to me asked whats wrong with it ? So I let him try it!LOL Oh I see!! I wish there were a good fish with in 10 miles of my house! We would be there 2-3 Fridays a month. Even the lanes there have scoring issues!

I bowl @ King Pin and it is a good center, clean and most of the staf is great. Jeremey the manager though is another story, if he cared at least a little that would be nice. Sorry to have seen shannon go he was great. This is my teams last year if they don't replace the manager.

Hey Brent, things are better now, dec. 2009. We do not have to pay $1.00 per game to bowl after bowling and during bowling there no pushing to drink 3 beverages. I like it better and spend less money than before. My average went up and the lanes are well prepared for bowling. The first year the lane machine had problems, but not now.

To the brainiac, sue-happy wife of a drunk....KEEP YOUR HUSBAND OFF THE ROADS! If you know he's going out getting hammered, why aren't you doing anything to stop him? Instead of threatening to sue, why don't you threaten to leave that bum unless he straightens up. If your alky husband gets behind the wheel drunk and hits my wife and kids, you'll have more to worry about than his drunk driving ticket. Stupid broad!

Yes, your husband probably does need help. At least you get that. But, I agree that it is the establishments responsibilty to cut someone off when they have had too much to drink...to help protect our community from the drunk drivers that leave the bar area. At least call the cops. West Bend has plenty of drunk drivers as it is and we don't need anymore. That is the resposiblity of being able to serve booze. I am now ending that issue of booze. NO MORE Let's talk service. I had dinner there last Friday night. Had to wait 15 minutes for a server to take our drink order. Then had to wait another 45 minutes for food. I understand that leagues have started and they make up a lot of the business on Friday and Saturday nights, but PLEASE think about the others. King Pin is know for their fish frys and pizza. Don't make those customers wait. The friendly atmosphere with the employees has also been affected since King Pin took over. Does it hurt that much to Smile? Overall, It wouldn't be a place to I would recommend above another place in west bend, but I would go back.

I love King Pin and the Staff are wonderful, for all of the people with drinking problems check out AA it's not the establishments fault it's your own. Sweet try with the scapegoat though:)

I have nothing but great things to say about King Pin. First, the cost. This summer my kids bowled 200 games for FREE! At a time when kids are looking for fun things to do, thanks for offering such a great deal. The regular prices that they charge during other times of the year are in line with what other alleys charge. Second, I think the upgrades that were made to the establishment are such an improvement. It's much cleaner! Also, separating the bar from the alleys has really made it a more family-friendly place. Finally, regarding the husband that drinks too much, please get him help! It sounds like he drinks too much wherever he goes, and I would hate to have him on the streets endangering our community.

Just a response to the comment below, maybe your husband should be more responsible. It sounds like he needs help, and you need to recognize that he does have a problem and blaming others is not the way to fix it!

I can tell you one thing about this estblishment, if you go to the bar there...you will never get cut off from drinking. They will serve you until you die. My husband is a regular there. He goes there only after every other bar cuts him off. Yes, you can call him a drunk, but I will tell you this. If anything happens to him or anyone else, because of him, I am holding King Pin responsible. Just because King Pin did not have enough balls to stop taking his money, I am number one on the list to file a FAT lawsuit against this establishment. BE RESPONSIBLE AND LOOK OUT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. THAT IS YOUR JOB AND RESPOSIBILTY. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Today, Memorial Day, I took my three children to King Pin Ale house to open bowl two games. I was utterly shocked that it cost almost $34 to bowl two games (4 people x 2 games each) plus 3 shoe rentals. Wowsa!!! Whatever happened to AFFORDABLE family entertainment? Couldn't even afford a snack or drink because I felt ripped off after that chunk of change. You know in the off season of bowling leagues, I would think it would be a good idea to have special prices to lure customers in, not drive them away due to sticker shock. Looks like our family will be going to other local lanes to bowl as they are more affordable and until prices lower we won't be back to patronize King Pin. We just cannot afford to dump $34 for an hour and a half of entertainment. You know, you go where the price is right, and that isn't at King Pin.

Yesterday (Thursday, October 19th,2006) was my very last visit to King Pin Lanes in West Bend. I have been a regular league bowler there for many years (when owned by Dave and Nancy Clark and known as Weiland's Fun Center). I think the new owner needs to understand a few things about West Bend and his clientele ----- namely that it used to be "FUN" to go there and that everyone who worked there remembered who REALLY writes their checks --- the CUSTOMER!!!!!! There is no question that the customer service now simply SUCKS!!!! From the broken down alleys to what has to be the worst group of non-thinking braniacs workers behind the bar, I will NEVER go back there. I just quit six weeks into the season due to the incredibly inept management team and their failure to recognize that you have to show people you really care. The lane conditions there this year have been nothing short of spotty and pathetic. The lanes are constantly breaking down. Management has forgotten that the bowlers who used to stick around after bowling are leaving in droves. We lost two tems in the Thursday Night Blue Division alone. The remodel and paint job looks like Kindergardeners did the paint job and color selection. The atmosphere in the place is COLD and impersonal. The food is awful and WAY overpriced!!!! They actually ask .50 for an additional 1/16 oz. cup of dressing to go with the droplet of dressing they give you with your salad. The food is nothing special. The pizzas arent worth ANYTHING close to the $15.99 they are trying to get. From the immediate looks of it, Mr. Carter is trying to get ALL of his 2.2 million (or thereabouts) investment back in one bowling season. I really should congratulate him for selecting the staff from hell. It is PEOPLE who make or break a business, not the building. The staff cannot even remember customer names or what they drink, even if there is only one person drinking on that team for beer frames. There really aren't any drink specials to speak of, and the $1.00 tap specials look like they will disappear because (as one employee put it) there is no profit in them. That speaks volumes to me. I have no doubt but that the lane oiler is still on the fritz due to the amazingly over/under arid-dry left lane/ oily carry-down right lane condition that has existed since the beginning of the bowling year. True, there is nothing wrong with putting out a challenging shot for league night, but what they have been putting out is nothing short of a joke. People are flocking to Lighthouse Lanes (myself included) by the "team-load" for all of the aforementioned reasons. At least they have the customer service thing going for them AND the customers!!!!! The lane condition there is at least consistent ------ Emphasis on CONSISTENT as opposed to the current King Pin shot, which is like the box of chocolates on FORREST GUMP (ya never know whatcha gonna get). I wish you guys the best of luck (you are gonna need it), and hope to see all of my friends at Lighthouse Lanes next year (if not this year yet). To show I am sincere about my comments, please bear in mind that I took the time and effort to tell you about the major flaws to King Pin Lanes since Carter bought it --- and did not have a problem with putting my name on these comments. There are SOOOOOOOOO many customers that feel the same way I do. I took a stance this week by walking out. I hope they get the picture before they start trying to field ALL new teams next year, a distinct possibility based on their current level of customer care and concern!

Recently sold to Community Entertainment Centers. Service has slipped dramatically from the old owners Dave and Nancy. Now called King Pin Lanes and Ale House. (See King Pin Lanes - Campbellsport same owners)
