Does anyone know if there is any kind of tribute anywhere in this center to the great tradition of the Firestone Tournament of Champions that was traditionally held here? I can still see Don Johnson laying face down on the approach after leaving a ringing 10-pin on lane 27 way back in the glory days of bowling on ABC.
Is there anything anywhere in Riviera Lanes to commemorate the TOC?
I tried to contact AMF to have this question answered and they have ignored my E-mails and phone messages. |

What has happened to this place. I used to come all the time for late night bowling on friday nights. I hadnt been there in a couple years since moving away but the service is horrible and unfriendly. |

It is really sad that a center that was known for a great event like the Firestone T of C could become the latest victim of corporate greed. No doubt AMF has profits in mind rather than tradition and quality. It would have been nice if the PBA and AMF could have brought the T of C back to Riviera for its 50th anniversary celebration. The event hasn't been the same since it left Fairlawn in '94. |

AMF Riviera Lanes is a great place to have the PBA to stop by again. |

I would of always recommended this center to anyone. STOP. Do not go here. AMF just fired the great General Manager Dave Seidel for a total bogus reason. It was a new district manager on a power trip. He was the most dedicated employee that company had ever had. He made that bowling alley a great place to visit. In 2 months everything has gone to hell there. Its way overpriced and the employees not treat you like crap. That is if you can find one. Try looking outside in the smoking lounge. A total waste of money. Stay away. |
