Wow, I never realized people had such strong feelings about bowling. Look, this is Tallahassee, there isn't much else to do other than go to the movies or fun station, wait, scratch the fun station thing. The place is decent, the food isn't great and neither are the lanes, but I'm not looking to bowl in the Taj Mahal, I want to get drunk off a $4 pitcher. I'm just saying...

My dad was visiting for the holidays, so I decided to take the family out for a great game of bowling. Our lane messed up the whole time we were bowling at Seminole lanes, but the staff was so eager and made every attempt to get the lane working properly. The customer service was great and despite the lane messing up, my family had a great time bowling!

| This is a huge thanks to the staff at Seminole Bowl. We had a party there, 1/31/09. Everyone was so helpful and fun.
The party got great reviews in the Tallahassee Democrat, the photo's really showed the fun people have at the bowling alley.
It was the best place to celebrate a young girl's wish. The family said it was the first time they ever bowled, and I think there were 13 people there. Everyone laughed and competed.
There was a birthday party being celebrated at the same time! And I think every lane was being used. The place was packed, and we still had customer service to rave about. That says alot.
Thanks Frank, Elena, Linda, Chris and the people we are forgetting.

It had been awhile since I've been there, they have painted, have a better selection of bowling balls and the prices are very reasonable. I will be returning. Thank you Seminole Bowl

Arranged to have a birthday party for my daughter. There was nobody there to work behind the food counter so we ended up going out for pizza. We had numerous problems with the alleys that we used and had to wait long periods of time to get help. The one girl who did show up for work spent most of her time outside smoking cigarettes. This was not an enjoyable day for us. I will never use this alley again.

Wow!! How hard is it get nice people behind the desk, better equipment, and a Pro Shop...what is a bowling center without a Pro Shop? Thats why they cant make any money to make any upgrades! Come on people!! They are tring so hard to put money in their pockets. You know, I think I just found my new project. Its all about supply and demand. If the demand is there, Im sure that I can make a desent return on the investment. Who would join me?

I come from a town with a horrible bowling center. Hardly oiled the lanes, poor customer service, pro shop was never open when it was supposed to be and when it was...you never wanted to go in. The managers took all the goofing off from Saturday morning leagues away cause they said it was distracting...these people were the distracting ones. SO I come to Tallahassee in hopes of their being better, and I find Seminole. Worse than my last house, lanes are literally NEVER oiled, and when they are they are saturated to the point where all you get is slide, no friction at all. The machines break all the time and the staff s*cks. I bowled with a girl who had no choice but to use her own good equipment on these lanes since the ball selection was horrible and she ended up needing a new ball much sooner than she would have because the machines ate hers alive. So all in all, maybe a 1 star rating, if that. Go to Crenshaw, smaller but much nicer.

This place needs only one extra thing, a wrecking ball. Let me tell you, I've bowled on many a college town lanes and these are the WORST. I've never in my life seen so many lanes machines screwed up. The cashiers look like they crawled out of a cave and act like it too. Not to mention the management doesn't care. Do yourself a favor and go over to Capital Lanes when it opens. I hope this place gets closed down. I now know why bowling has such a bad connotation associated with it, it's because of place like this. I spit on Seminole Bowl.......

The Management and cashiers do s*ck, but the lanes aren't half bad! The machines to constantly breakdown and they are overpriced, But hey, they are the only thing in Tallahassee!

Prices are a little high but all in all you get what you should expect. Let's be realistic it is close to campus and if they put a great product out there it would just get tore up. Not tournament quality but you can still have a good time!!! Staff does leave a little to be desired and no pro shop doesn't help since Tally is in desperate need!!!

So we go to bowl first thing in the morning on a Thursday, and there are NO lanes because they have sold them all to summer camp kids! The lady said they have no lanes during the summer until late in the day because of this. They did not say this on the phone when we called.
Comment Date: 5/1/2007 Name: Bria
Oh come on! it is not that bad! The lanes are good and the only reason i had a bad time was because my crush was there unexpected and flirting with someone else! Other than that is's a great place.

|Just got back from their so called cosmic bowling, and I just have to say, that was horrible. Nothing but black lights, apparently even the disco ball was broken. The music at one point was just turned off. It got to the point where it felt like we just came late at night to bowl in the dark. Horrible customer service. I was told I was 4th in line for a lane, turns out I was actually 7th. The lanes felt like they haven't been oiled in a year and a half. Ridiculous pricing. I was told that shoes were included over the phone, but no, turns out they are $3 extra a person. Ended up costing my group of four $61 for 2 hours of bowling. It's very unfortunate that there are only 2 bowling alleys in Tallahassee, but even though I have not yet been there I highly recommend Crenshaw Lanes, there is no way it could be any worse.
It may sound like I'm being harsh, but that's what I thought about these reviews too, before I went there.|
Comment Date: 4/7/2007 Name: does it matter?
Yeah, though I do like they have a bar and food to eat, the personel and management kinda s*ck. Out of the 5 times I've been there, three of those times my lane broke down and an average of 15 minutes were lost until someone actually fixed it.
Comment Date: 4/1/2007 Name: Chris Hammerlin
The problem is that they're the only public bowling place in Tallahassee. They could care less if they overcharge you, ignore you at the counters, have crummy equipment. Where else you gonna go? Panama City, 125 miles away? This is a classic example of businesses ripping off customers when there is no choice. Its horrible.

I go to Seminole Bowl occasionally, and even though they are a little more expensive than Crenshaw, If you pay by the hour and eat before you come, it's not that bad. You just have to get there before the birthday parties start to get good balls.

This place is the epitamy of a dump. The food is usually served in a horses trof and the atmosphere is full of filth. There's riftrat everywhere and it's cheap because they have some guy behind the pinsetting machine blowing pins over with a blowdryer. That's cool, but I don't like to cheat my way to victory.

This place s*cks! They have hardly any balls to choose from. They don't have any specials..PERIOD. Their prices are outrageous. Four dollars or more a game after five?? What's up with that. I will NEVER go their again!

I just had an opportunity to vist this center. we had an outstanding time. New synthetic lanes, updated interior, great automatic scoring and personell. We were greated by the manager and he could not have been nicer. A GREAT TIME.

Comment Date: 4/10/2006 Name: Clint
This place if awful. Our machine broke down every two minutes, couldn't find the right size balls, and the balls took forever to come out. Plus, they don't have any drink specials.

This place is totally cool you should come here and bowl, but the food here stinks big time.
Comment Date: 11/29/2004 Name: Corey
Also...their website is out of date. They have limited sizes in shoes. They are HIGHLY over priced and seem to be taking advantage of being the main bowling alley now.
Comment Date: 11/29/2004 Name: Corey
This place being close to campus attracts alot of drunk kids...which sucks. On top of that the management is crappy. The lanes are fine and there are enough balls usually. However since this is the only one in tallahasse besides the on campus lanes we have to make due.
Comment Date: 11/22/2004 Name: Mike
This place is for fun only, no serious bowling action here. It's a cool place to get drunk and act up with friends. Seminole Bowl is for college kids on a Friday night, not the PBA.
Comment Date: 9/27/2004 Name: Seminole
Don't go there...it's awful. Bad management, bad prices, and the machines always break dowm. This place needs to be bulldozed soon.

Hasn't been the same since the 80's and 90's when Chris ran it.

I couldn't find a 6 lbs. ball. My fragile arms can't bowl without a 6 lbs. ball!
