Cheap prices. Walking in smells like garbage. Staff needs to be a little more professional if you want more business. Place has potential just not going to get more popular because the staff seems lazy.

Love it. I go almost every week with my brothers and my boyfriend. Very cheap and everyone is very nice. My summer has been great spending it in Bowl Rite :)

I Love Bowl Rite. I miss going every week with my school because I had so much fun.

The best employees are always the owners, owners family (current owner's mother I know served some time behind the desk) or adults, the problem becomes when you have kids running the front. And, i dont think its any coincidence that once the kids who hung out there were able to drive, they leave. Mind you, those kids live right there, yet they bowl at Lodi, Bowler City, Hudson. I mean HELLO!!! I miss 1990's/2000's Bowl Rite, the employees just dont care and IT SHOWS! SHAPE UP.

The staff was nasty to me and my husband. They thought they new everything and were not helpfull at all. The entrance smelled like garbage. God forbide you bothered them while they talk to their friends. They were even nastier. the person in the food stand was not helpful either. She was to busy texting.

Bowl Rite isn't perfect, but what place is? I got my start at Bowl Rite in 94 as a young kid, and from then till 2007, Bowl Rite was a second-home to me, I've bowled countless amounts of games whether in practicing or in leagues. I'd be the first to admit, that they've had their share of unfavorable staff, but the current owner has maintained a good staff, and I know he wants people to come back and have fun, I was and still am sad, that I had to leave Bowl Rite (i moved) I even created a Facebook page for "Bowl Rite Lanes", where you can read stories of Bowl Rite and their memories. Do you think I would've created a page if this place was worthwhile? i cant think of a better endorsement than that...

Bowlrite has always been my favorite bowling alley ever. Since I first moved to new jersey. It feels like home the staff is GREAT and you can go there with your family as well as your friends. It is affordable and lots of fun. I am looking forward to go there this Friday and see the new and improved BOWLRITE LANES. :)

Stair leading to the alley is awfull. Stairs needs an upgrade. maybe add elevators. Alleys are great. Bowling was fund. Bathrooms need work though.

Comment Date: 4/11/2009 Name: 10pinspare
only bad thing is the stairwell going up to the lanes...smells like garbage. other than that this place is really decent, close to home, cheap, and fun. the rennovations they made were great. id rather bowl here than at hudson lanes.

Richie (the owner) is awesome. End of story.

Bowl Rite is like family -- great owner and staff. Met my husband here too. Bowled against him in the Summer Men's thursday night league in 1998. We're married now 8 years today, 9/8. I had a lot of good competition. Planning my 4yr olds birthday party in October. Looking forward to the fun and laughs.

Bowl Rite is fun. I've had a blast every time I've ever been there, and so have my friends (even the one who hates the area). The lanes have been upgraded and the "rude people" are gone. The staff tries to keep the bathrooms clean, but it can't be helped when certain people purposely make as much of a mess as possible. I had my 17th birthday there and my high school graduation party, and no one had any complaints. I've also been going there with my parents since I was very little. I can distinctly remember one day when I was about 9, an older kid made fun of me losing at a video game and the old owner threw him and his friends out. The new owner is great too. He's a lot of fun and jokes around with his customers.

I just went to the bowl rite on Tuesday 27th for my daughter's birthday. I went on one of their busy nights and they were still able to commodate my family. We had a great time, and the staff was great and especially friendly with all the kids with us. Yes it might not be the most modern place but the enviroment is fun =D

what this place lacks in cleanliness, they make up for in atmosphere and attitude. Great fun for the whole family.

We held our son's 6th birthday party here and it was a blast! They reserve the upstairs lanes for private parties (so that kids don't have to hear cursing from aduilts downstairs when miss that spare). And they put up "bumpers" so that the brightly colored balls the kids use won't go into the gutter -- really reduces the frustration level for first-time bowlers. Bowl-Rite also assigned a very friendly and capable teenager to our party, who set up the tables behind the seats and supplied us with fresh pizza, chips and cheese doodles, punch and soda. And then he and his co-workers cleaned up the mess! Every party should be this fun and easy.

Starting September 25th, Bowl Rite will undergo a major top to bottom renovation. The center will be closed for two weeks while the renovation takes place. Synthetic lanes, new scoring machines, seating, ball returns, EVERYTHING. I truly hope that those here who haven't bowled there in a long time will give this place a second chance once they make these much needed improvements.

I bowl here in both summer and winter leagues. While the lanes are pretty tough to figure out I found it to be a very rewarding experience once I did. While the center is in need of a major overall facelift I enjoy bowling here a a lot. The staff is great and they are always there to fix any mechanical problem. I highly recommend it to everybody here.

For the price of bowling, it's worth going there. the most expensive price at Bowl Rite is Friday and Saturday nights after 5pm, $3.50. A great price compared to other bowling alleys. I've been bowling there more than 10 years. Bowl Rite needs an upgrade, and apparently WILL upgrade, when this happens, Bowl Rite won't be so bad. EMPLOYEES- Almost all of the "nasty" employees are NO longer at Bowl Rite. Of course, everyone has their "bad days" but overall it's not bad.

Comment Date: 3/16/2006 Name: Anonymous
worse experience ever. bathrooms were filthy. staff rude and not at all helpful. if you want to waste your money i guess this is the place to be.

This place is horrible. Bowling in the street would be more fun.

This is a phenomonal place to go out bowling =) The staff are amazing, the area is beautiful, and did you know certain scenes from the movie "Kingpin" were filmed there? There's history in this place! (They even have the bowling ball Woody used in the movie there!!!!?!)

I went to Bowl Rite a few weeks ago with both my girls, one of whom is handicapped. The staff was so helpful, helping me with the ramp for her to be able to bowl, finding me an area that wasn't too crowded, it was a pleasure going there. Thanks to the entire staff and Rich, we will be back soon.

My experience at "Bowl Rite" was just awful. The employees of your so called bowling alley are a disgrace. They were rude and not helpful in the least. I think you should be closed down immediately..thank you

I've heard this place aptly described as being "like bowling in somebody's garage." If you prefer the 60's style lanes to today's modern mega centers, this place is for you.
