I remembered when this bowling alley opened. I was the first customer they had. I was a kid in grammar school and I got involed in bowling. I am now 65 years of age and still bowling. It was a great place and I'm just wondering how many of you readers remember the old Cardinal Lanes in Nutley that burned down?

I've been coming to Brunswick Zone for as long as I can remember, way before it was even called Brunswick Zone. Yes, they have a lot of leagues there. However, it's not that they're just turning you away. Call first and see if they have lanes available for open bowling! It's not that hard. Just like if you were to go an ice skating rink and there's a hockey game going on.. Well guess what, that's what the rink is there for so try again another time! The staff is wonderful I believe. They've never been anything but nice to me. Also, the teenagers that run the kid's birthday parties are great kids. They do a very good job!

With the exception of Mr. Bruce & the young lady with the purple hair. These two are very professional. Also the gentleman that fixed the pins & ball setting. The rest of the night crew is very rude, disrespectful to my family & friends who I reconmened to come there, we were embaressed. No one wanted to help or show us who to set up the lanes, they did not want to honor your ads about 1.50 night, trying to make more money off us. They also turn our game off before they were finished. This behavior has giving this bowling alley another bad reputation we had alot of family & friends & league that had considered transfering there. The word is getting out! The place may be neat & clean but the attitude of most of the staff is dirty!

Check league rules carefully especially to final weeks of position. First place clinches and still bowls second place not giving third place a chance.

I'm twelve, and have been bowling at Brunswick Olympic all my life. My family used to bowl there all the time, but since we found a bowling alley by my school that's cheaper, we only go to Brunswick when a special deal happens. The staff can be rude and forgetful. The lanes are clean, and a new computer system was recently installed. Some days, however, we get kicked out because the leagues need the lanes. Countless times we have been turned away because of league bowling. I defintely prefer the North Arlington Bowl-O-Drome, where I bowl now. It's cheap, clean, and very nice. I would vote Brunswick an overall 3.5

This bowling alley is nice. The lanes are good, the place is clean. The personell however is rude. AND they will kick you out at a set time and stop your games...and you pay before you play. So if you pay for 3 games...and only bowl 2 frames of the third game because they STOP you without warning....you get NO money back. Not a good way to run a business.

This center, I found, to be state of the art. Maybe a little bit too many bells and whistles, but fun. They had good specials (Prices) otherwise EXPENSIVE! Clean lanes and bowling areas. Needs more parking but over all a nice place. Bring the family! Machines worked well & mechanic on duty (Tom) very helpful and serious about keeping things in order in general. Oil patterns in general need to be a bit longer-geared toward power bowlers. Desk help a little slow but friendly. NO Proshop! Typical Brunwick center-very busy! Bar & snack bar are top notch! Over all a 4.5 rating.
