I think the lanes are awesome. Its a fair shot. The owner knows better not to get on my angry side, he knows!!!!! I totally agree, this center could be kid friendly like spare time bristol! Ive seen the way the staff handles kids and its definitely pissing me off.! I am a competitive bowler, but the way things are with the staff in general is totally not appropriate. If any parents are planning a fun trip to the bowling center becareful with the staff. Dont be afraid to say something! I know i would!

I think the lanes are awesome. The owner though, well could stop being a stick in the mud. Does not want to give any one a break. I know people who have bowled here for years and if they need a pair of bowling shoes for league night he charges them. I think after all the money these leagues put in the bowling alley he should a least let them use them free of charge.

We bowl at this place a few times a year mostly because its the closest place for a lot of our group and they have the Prime Time bar next door which we like to frequent. We've had pretty decent experiences there each time, although some times lane selection can be wierd (with 10 people in there on a thursday night do we all have to be crammed into 3 lanes next to each other?). The bowling is pretty adequate and the prices for food, beer and bowling is on par with other places in the area. Nothing overly positive or overly negative to say about the place.

What we like about the Thomaston Lanes is that they want kids to have a good time but don't tolerate any disruptive behavior. The lanes are well kept, the automatic scoring is fantastic, and the food is delicious. The arcade games and air hockey give me and my friends plenty to do for hours.

The place is clean and colorful. The prices reflect what you get for your dollar. It's the nicest bowling alley I've been to. The food is REAL, and the prices are GREAT. Where can you take a family of 4 to a FULL dinner for around $30, then add bowling...so for around $50 - $70, your whole family eats (good food), and has a great time. The lighting at night is just fantastic! This is the ONLY place to go for great fun and great food.

The staff is not kid friendly, even though they are a family place. They were rude to my grandkids. A fun time was had, but, it was expensive for a family to go. the food was too expensive too. they should hire people who can treat paying customers even if they are children with respect!

I love bowling at Thomaston Lanes. I been bowling for over 18yrs., and Thomaston Lanes "Rocks". I feel very safe parking my 2005 Red Conv. Mustang in the parking lot.I think Big Lou is "Great".

i will never go back to thomaston lanes. The employees are mean and the food is SO expensive. If the place added a little paint outside it would look better. it has looked the same for ever. DONT GO THERE!!!

I used to go to theselanes every thursday, sometimes twice a week even. Now I will never go back to them again because the employees acted like it was an inconvinence when we showed up on a friday night, they kicked us out because it wass league night. Like theyre going to fill all the lanes, well you lost some customers that night.

Thomaston Lanes is a great bowling alley fun for the family. The joint restaurant has really great food, their potato skins are the best!! A great place to have a bithday party for a child, I had mine there about a decade ago. Just make sure you don't get lane 13 and 14, we think those lanes are slanted. :D

Ah, that Lou, he's a special one I tell ya. Is it me, or is he always pissed of at somethin?? I don't think he knows how to smile. Then again, what do you want when you've been stuck in a bowling center since you were 2 years old (Thanks Dad)!

I live out of town, but brought my kid there for a party. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the place. No odor of stale beer or smoke. The bright colors seemed to really be kid friendly.

Does this place ever oil their lanes? I heard from someone that they oil twice a week over the summer...do you have ANY idea how bad that is for the lanes? I have never once seen any real sort of oil when I've bowled at this place.

Lou, the owner, should be a little more friendly. We are the ones coming to his place to spend our money. He acts sometimes that we are an inconvenience especially on league night. Also, he give no discounts to jr. bowlers. He should be ashamed of himself. But Shane is the best the only reason we come back. Thank You Shane

I had a good experience but felt uncomfortable with an employee when they asked me where my duck was from!

Thomaston is very proud to have this establishment. It is very well maintained and the parking lot appears very safe. They are in a good location with easy access off the highway. High marks for cleanliness. I only wish they were more community friendly. As a community volunteer I never felt that anything was given very discounted to kids in town. Shoe rentals are very expensive. Also, they do not allow birthday party parents to cater their own parties because they have a restaurant inside the lanes.

I love Thomaston Lanes!! It is the absolute best bowling alley ever!! It is very clean and the people who work there are very nice. (and it's a great place to have birthday parties).

I was recently visiting a friend of mine while he was bowling at a thursday night league at thomaston lanes. I was shocked to see that most....if not all of the tables had a picture of one of their fellow bowlers with a blow-up doll in two different poses. This was a huge joke to many, however the person responsible should have taken into account the rest of us. I would never consider going back there to visit my friend.....let alone bring my family there.

I was just here recently with my kids and their Cub Scout Troop. They had a great time we were there from 11:30am til 1:00pm.The kids just started their third game at 12:40 when all of a sudden the owner shut down the lanes because he did not want us to go over in time. My kids were really disappointed they said they did not want to go back.

Visited these lanes with our Cub Scout Pack; all 40 Cubs and family members had a great time! The boys especially enjoyed the graphics on the score screens - they'd try to get a strike just to see the bowling pin with the crown on it! Would highly recommend as a family fun place.

After visiting these lanes with the family we were very impressed with its cleanliness and organization. It seems to have been recently updated including score keeping and lanes and goes along way in making kids feel at home. We did notice several extras such as a very nice billiards hall and a food bar and pro shop. We did not use these facilities. We had much fun and enjoyed these lanes. We will return.
